When I pulled into this place I knew it was going to be awesome. I checked in quickly and escorted myself to my room. I had a little bit of trouble opening the door but luckily some 12 year old was walking by and showed me how to insert the card and open the door. Kids are so smart at their ages these days and friendly too! Where did you get those manners? Shame on your parents for teaching you to help a stranger ;)
Within five minutes upon entering my room the phone rang. It was the front desk asking if my room was ok. Yes everything was working properly, except I had these plastic tie wraps on my suitcase locks so I asked for some scissors. They much obliged :)
I didn't know my way around the area but they were nice enough to point me in the right direction. I hit the burger joint next door since I needed something greasy after my heavy drinking from the following night. (Do not board a plane hungover) A yummy seafood place next door and an amazing steak house behind the hotel. I just wish there were more things to do in Kirkland. It should be retitled; Kirkland: Retirement town USA.
Aside from the hotel wanting me to pay $12 to watch movies, porn and play video games this place rocks! It was quiet, clean, had breakfast waiting in the morning, and they have free internet access!

Similar to Tristen's experience, our stay at La Quinta- Kirkland was terrific - this hotel and its manager are gems.
