1 review for La Quinta
On a recent trip to El Paso, I got stranded at the airport, and was displaced to the La Quinta Inn. Considering I was flying out first thing in the morning, I didn't really care where I would be staying, though the $45 displacement rate should have been a sign of things to come.
Let me start out by saying from when I called the shuttle service to when they came to get me was just south of 2 hours. When I called the hotel to get status updates, the woman working seemed to be getting irritated with me. Are you kidding me?!?!
I finally get there check in and am psyched they have wifi. Unfortunately my computer won't connect, so no last minute catching up for myself.
The room and set up of this place kind of reminds me of some of the hotel rooms in "No Country for Old Men." It just seemed like a sketchy area, and my comfort level was not at an all time high. In the room, it looked like one of the sheets hadn't been washed (read- stained with ji$$), and the lighting was straight out of "Saw" in the bathroom. Thank goodness there was a second bed that looked somewhat cleaner, though still not that impressive, or comfy for that matter.
Check out the next morning and get my free continental breakfast. They have waffles in the shape of Texas and that's pretty much the highlight.
Definitely not my first choice if I were to come back to Dallas. If you get displaced here, you may want to consider paying a bit more and going to a nicer hotel.
