This past weekend we were up in Orangevale visiting a friend and felt like some good mexican food. Our host recommended this place warning that it was nothing fancy but had good mexican food. The only complaint that I had was when we walked in the door it was apparant that the air conditioning was not working and it was hotttt outside. We were greeted right away and seated immediately. The service was awesome! Javiar, our waiter, was extremely attentive and very patient with my 3 year old daughter who seemed inamored with him. Every time any waiter, waitress or busperson walked by my daughter would say hi or ask a question and they were all extremely friendly and talked to her. The food was definitely authentic mexican comfort food. Felt the arteries clogging from the lard that is obviously used in everything, very tasty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone, including all of my friends of mexican decent.

Standard Mexican. The Salsa in the squirt bottle is and interesting idea, but it didn't work for me. They put these 2 bottle out, and give you little tiny bowls to squirt it into.  I like my salsa bowl big, so I can get the chip in there.  The flour tortillas I ordered with my meal look home made. I like that.  The rest of the meal was just decent. They serve Pacifico, which is a plus.  I hate when Mexican places, don't serve Pacifico.  They tell me no, then offer me Corona!!!.  a freakin Corona!!!!!   not the same!
 three stars for a consistent meal when I'm over in the neck of the woods.

La Placita Dos has some of the best chili colorado in Sacramento.  I really love the salsa in squit bottles great idea.  Thier rice and beans were also very good.  On a side note if you have children under 3 they have a baby plate with chicken beans and rice that is free.

Not even close to authentic! My enchilada and chile relleno looked like a big puddle of refried beans and red sauce with NO flavor. Service is crap too. I f you're in the area try Las Panchitas on Sunrise and Old Auburn...so much better!

This place is sooooo good.  Get the fajitas.  The soup is even good.  They serve their salsa in squirt bottles, and one is super hot, the other makes excellent dip for anything.  
The beans and rice are perfect most days I've been there, and I have had tacos, enchiladas, tostadas, and fajitas that were beyond yummy.  I also liked the bite I took of the chile relleno, but it had a lot of sauce.

Very good eats, very fatty filling and yum.
