Hot dogs with quail eggs. Need I say more?
Cheap dogs, lots of calories...er...toppings, probably to draw attention away from the dubious contents of the dog itself. But it worked for me.
Apparently, Roma, France, England, and Turkey all have adopted their own official hot dog toppings which can be sampled here. Mmmmm! A great lunch stop when you're not in over-the-top-dramatic-Miami-fashion-model mode.

Don't come here for sandwiches. Don't expect Colombian burgers - it's not here. Don't look for anything else but HOT DOGS. But not Chicago style, not New York style, but frivolous Colombian-style dogs!
La Perrada de Edgar is another one of those imports from Colombia in the ever-growing Colombian scene in Miami! Really famous in Bogota, the owner is seeking to stake the same fame in the United States, and righteously so. The toppings here are so weird, so out-of-the-world, and yet so good that it would make you wonder ... "HOW in the HECK did they THINK this mishmash was going to be this GOOD?!" Throw away the by-gone eras of the chili dogs. Even Miami's new and trendier Dogma Grill and Frankitude can't even really compare in terms of the variety or the weird factor.
Take this... the Edgar Special - the thick hot dog (much thicker than Dogma Grill and Frankitude - so this in itself is already a bargain) is topped with pineapple, peach, plum, and whipped cream!
Ice cream sundae anyone? Maybe sans the ice cream, but heck, I felt I just had the healthiest hot dog yet so far - but that may be because I've been needing to eat more fruits. But SERIOUSLY, try it out!
And all the hot dogs are less than $5.
Note: They do have sandwiches, salads, and even quesadillas, but the place is really all about the dogs!
