This place has been in Richmond since the early 1920's. My mother took me here as a kid and the food still rocks. They have very limited hours and there location is not the best part of town. However, the food is worth the risk. People of many walks of like come here for some of the best Mexican food in the bay. The enchiladas are to die for and the beef with potatoes are yummy!!
The food is kinda high school cafeteria style here, there is a bin for the meat, another for the beans, cheese and so on, and they just throw the same ingredients together in different ways to make different things. For example the only diffence between the burrito and the taco salad (they have a different name for it) is that one has a fried tortilla. I wasn't too fond of the food, but its's super cheap and the people there are really nice.
Excellent tamales & mole. Lost 2 stars cause you need a bullet proof vest to go here.
