Outstanding Mexican restaurant.  A  McKinnon family favorite by far.  Fantastic, attentive, quick service. Impressive. Great Mexican atmosphere / music. It is a pleasure to write a great review for this restaurant.

SERVICE:  Owners Alfredo Hamedoni and Hector Mendossa wrote the book on SERVICE.  The staff is a well oiled machine with superb timing and PROMPT everything.  Sometimes, almost uncanny.  And with a little touch of humor I might add.  Be prepared.

I have taken MANY people to this restaurant for lunch and dinner and it ALWAYS gets rave reviews. Plenty of private parking and seating. Bar. Family owned -- same owners as the La Palmera in Mill Creek.

CLEAN:  The moment a party leaves a table, the staff descends upon it and sweeps the area clean quickly and quietly -- including the floor (hand vacuum broom).

LOCATION:  This restaurant is located almost next to Home Depot near corner of 128th/Airport Road and Evergreen (Highway 99) in Everett on the south side of the 4 lane road.

Fun place. Very up. You will NOT be disappointed. Plenty to eat. Wide food variety with colorful menu. Catering, orders to go, the works.

Let me start by saying that the best part of this meal was racing to Albertsons and buying a bottle of mint flavored ultimate strength mylanta to wash it down with.

Holy christ this was bad, I'm a chubby kid who loves food and I didn't even finish half of my plate.  I tried some of my girlfriend's chicken taco only to discover that the chicken was a bog of watery horror.  After a couple of chews I spit discretely into a napkin and quickly paid the bill.

$25 dollars... for twice that we could have gone Ginza and eaten delicious sushi until I was fat and happy.  For four times that I could have bought a plane ticket to San Diego and spent five dollars on a burrito that would have filled me with joy.

Please god, do not eat here if you cherish your intestinal happiness.  It's just plain bad folks.

Oh! But the service was prompt and pleasant.  I hope they get to work at a better restaurant soon.  The chips were tasty, even if they were paired with limp tomato paste salsa.

Fantastic food and very lively atmosphere.   Annoying service rushes you out as soon as it looks like you are finished.

Rather underwhelmed by this place.  The food is somewhat overpriced and kind of boring.  Would prefer to never go back but my husband and I are having a hard time finding a decent Mexican restaurant in the area.

OOOOOohhhhhh soooooooo freaking promising!!  Yet it left me soooooo sad....  This is not Mexican, this is Mexi-can't.....

Enjoyable to the newbie or the usual American-ized customer, this is the home of the Whopper KING sized, no,  I mean the Super-sized BIG Mac, no... I mean the #1 platter of gratuitous portions covered in "yellow" cheese.  Of course my parents liked this place, me, not so much.

I'm not sure if the kitchen got bogged down by the HUGE take out order that came through or they were just having a bad day, my Tacos al pastor, seen in the picture above, was greasy, and my tacos were so mushy that I had to use a folk and knife to eat them!  There was no flavor, and the only thing that helped was the fact their salsa was pretty damn spicy.  The food, which was lacking any real flavor, I mean how can you screw up rice and beans!?!?  You can add to the list that even the Pico de gallo, which was a soggy cabbage mixture, was tasteless.

I gave them 2 stars for the "fun" factor, somewhat like going to Disneyland, minus the good Churros.  Bus-boys come by at random times to pull tricks on drunk customers or the kids.  A standard response to any question, regardless of what you ask is, "Chicken or beef?"  My Dad was quite perplexed to this response when he asked for more napkins.  Same blank stare from my Mom, when she asked for a glass of water.

Funny atmosphere and the bar looked rock'n, even for mid-day afternoon, sadly the food was non-plus

Oh well, the search continues....

I really liked the food, granted I don't like spicy food, but I also don't like it with tons of lard and grease either, so it was perfect.
I had the huge chicken burrito and it tasted like chicken and didn't leave me feeling nasty.
We had the fried ice cream, which was not impressive, but nonetheless, I would definitely go back.  And, the waiters are super nice and are always talking with someone and having fun, and still do their job!

I have to say I love this La Palmera over the Mill Creek location.  My friend and I have a ritual, she prints the buy one/get one half off coupon from their website, we always sit in the bar, and I always fall for the damn bug tricks!!  When will I learn??!!

I do like the the whole salsa and beans with my chips and their rice/bean combo is huge - so come hungry.

This isn't in the greatest area - and one day a bunch of members of the Banditos Biker gang were there at the same time we were!  Awesome!!   I had seen several rival biker gang members in town over in Everett around the same time - my friend who works in 911 dispatch said that is because there was some big trial going on in town at the time.  Where else are you going to get colorful characters like that but in Everett?  At the Mill Creek location the toughest thing you'll get is someone drunk on 'ritas with a broken high heel!  (Although they do have a nice balcony at Palmera Dos).

LOVE IT!

I've been coming here for years now and I just love this place.  Here is why:

1. It's a fun environment.
The servers play tricks on customers, especially those sitting in large groups.  They do things like drop a fake spider down towards the center of the table, or they'll get a waiter to act like they're completely clumsy and will tip a fake glass of water on someone... that's my fave because the customer always freaks out!

2. The food is FANTASTIC!
This is true, authentic, Mexican food at its finest!  The portions are perfect (sometimes too much, but that's OK!) and the prices are reasonable.

3. The BEST customer service.
The wait staff is awesome.  They are all so very friendly to anyone who walks in.  They also have such a close relationship with each other.  It's almost like watching a whole bunch of brothers, sisters, cousins, crazy uncles, etc... feels just like home to me!

4. And last but certainly not least... THE BAR.
They have a full bar towards the back end of the restaurant with the BEST bartenders.  They make the drinks exactly how they should taste.  Once again, reasonably priced.

So if you're ever in the North End and you're looking for REAL Mexican food, hit this place up.  You won't regret it.

Oh, also, you should see this place on Cinco De Mayo... only for true party-goers!

Lot of people have said that Mexican restaurants in Texas are better so I am not giving it 5 stars. The food is great and the servers are pretty good too. Their decor is pretty attractive too.

Went for lunch once and once for dinner. Was impressed.

This is my favorite Mexican place. You have to keep in mind that it is Mexican-American, but great Mexican American food. Service is quick but not rushed. And you don't have a long wait even when the place is packed.

It is great for little kids the wait staff loves playing with them. My 3 year old  niece calls it the plastic chicken place, since they kept her entertained with a plastic chicken.

10 times better than Aztec give it a try.

The Everett location is the cleanest restaurant you will find anywhere of any type.  I challenge you to find a spec of dust on anything - even the light fixtures near the ceiling.

The food is excellent Americanized fare.  Service is top notch and the staff is very attentive.

I highly recommend this location of La Palmera.  Watch out for the rubber chicken.

I've been going to La Palmera for about 14+ years now, and have never had a bad experience.

They are the most caring and energetic bunch of people ever! They only use the freshest, most high quality ingredients around, and with that being said, it gets 5*. By using these ingredients, it makes it a healthier Mexican choice. Even though their Vegetarian menu isn't as large as other restaurants, don't let it fool you....besides, you can get whatever you want in reality.

I know the owner, he is a close family friend, and he and the other guys have put a lot of money and time into creating an amazing and beautiful atmosphere.

Better food quality here than at the Mill Creek location, and the same great selection of tequila. Very friendly wait staff, and they are open late on the weekends, so sober up here, and enjoy some old school family Mexican grub!!

Nothing's gonna blow your mind here food-wise. Pretty standard Mexican-American food, with endless chips and salsa and more beans and rice on your plate than anyone should eat in one sitting. VERY simliar to Azteca.

Kudos to the decor, the late night menu  (I believe you can order full dinner until 12am!), and the Mariachi Band!

Service has always been exceptional and VERY friendly at this location!

Most of the Mexican restaurants in the area pretty much taste the same.  This is a result of the success of the Ramos family's generosity in helping others from their village start their own restaurant.

The flavors taste much better than Azteca.  The biggest difference in La Palmera's case is the service.  They make you feel welcome and really make sure you are being taken care of.  They also like to play with the customers with practical jokes with toy spiders and other props.

This place is very kid friendly.

This is one of the best family Mexican restaurants I've been to.  Their carne asada is fabulous, and they make the best Cadillac margaritas I've ever had (and stiff, too!).  The side of rice & beans that comes standard on most Mexican meal combinations is exceptionally good - I didn't used to eat the beans & rice until I found La Palmera.  Theirs are very good.  They keep the chips & salsa coming!  The service is quick and very friendly, and the staff play little "tricks" on you, such as lowering a plastic spider over certain tables or pretending that they are going to put hot sauce all over your food while walking by your table.  It's all in good fun, and there is a heads up on the door.  Great place for families.

The food was pretty good. I came with a big group and what I like about this place is their sense of humor. They tend to play pranks on big tables. It was entertaining.

Fast Service and Great Food. The food is always fresh and you rarely have to ask for refills on chips and salsa and drinks. This is a cool little hang out, even if they are packed you won't have to wait long for a seat.

Caring, hard-working owner and servers that have become a Thursday night tradition for friends to gather.  We are always greeted with a handshake or even a hug from some. They always have our table ready and waiting with pica de gallo, salsa and beans.  They know that their usual salsa is too hot for me and remember my "gringa" sauce.  We live closer to the Mill Creek location but wouldn't trade because they are friends.  Their spinach enchiladas are a fav.  If I want more lettuce they will add it without charge.  It adds laughter when we have "newbies" along that aren't familiar with the spider, spilled drink and other tricks they make sure to welcome them with.
