Ok I got a real bad haircut from my hairdresser from a long time.......my life came to a stand still......come on u don't mess with a woman's hair like that.........
I was doing groceries at gene's super market and saw this hair salon...looked like a decent one, and plus its Saratoga, so I stepped in with a depressed face, there was my rescue team waiting for me. I was consulted, consoled and mended.(although i had chop off my mane to a crew cut). It still looked better than before. I waited till my hair grew really long and became a regular at LA NOUVELLE. I recommended to all the women I know....they are all regulars there.
My personal favorite is Kristana, she does a great job and gives each person the look that suits ur face the most....about 15 of us from the same social circle go there and yet not a single haircut, color and style is like the other.
Susanna is good too.
However let me warn you, its a little pricey.....but I don't mind paying the bucks.....just don't mess with my hair
Nicanor is the best. I have followed him around for a few years now. And yes, I have strayed, only to return with a horrible color and cut, damaged hair, and tail in between my legs.
Nic is amazing. I have never been to anyone else here, but it's a nice, quiet relaxed location. I highly recommend him for cut, color and helping get your hair to a healthier state.
I came here to get a haircut at the suggestion of a friend of mine who is a regular customer. I didn't have much time so since I was visiting this friend and this place was within walking distance, I decided to give it a shot.
My appointment was for noon and I got there a few minutes before. The place is run by Susanna (who also cut my hair). She has a number of stylists working for her as well as colorists. The salon is small, but cozy and doesn't give you the feel of those hip trendy pulse pumping salons in the city. It was a nice change for me actually.
Susanna consulted with me before my cut and got a feel as to what I was wanting. I just needed a cut to even out some of my layers and we decided that I wanted it short and manageable.
It didn't take Susanna long to create the cut and since I had a party that evening, she poofed it up with mousse and hairspray. It looked really chic but it wasn't me. Everyone loved my hair but I liked it even more the next day after I washed it. I felt more like me then!
After reading fellow yelpers' great reviews on La Nouvelle, I decided to come here to get a new hairdo. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful and was able to fit me in the same morning. I had almost-waist length hair and wanted a cut and a perm. Lauryn did a fantastic job with both! She really listened to what I wanted and also gave me very helpful suggestions. I was there for four hours but she made sure I was comfortable the whole time. (Unlike many other salons where the stylists juggled between several clients at the same time) All the other stylists there were very friendly as well, Everyone had a big smile on their face. I love my new hairstyle, thank you lauryn! I will definitely be back in the future.
I've been coming here to get my haircut for years and have never had any complaints. The owner, Susannah, is great. She is really cool and fun to talk to. Plus she really knows her stuff, especially if you are getting color or highlights. She is also full of great ideas for new things to try out if you are looking for something different. And if you are looking for a quick cut, I would recommend Kristana because she's not quite as expensive, but still does a great job.

Meet the Business Owner: Susannah S.
Suzannah originally trained at the Monterey Academy of Hair Design in Monterey, CA, graduating in 1978. She also trained in Paris with Jean Louis Deforge and Bruno Dessage, as well as Tony and Guy Hairdressers in Los Angeles and London. She is a Schwarzkopf color expert and has completed several of Euphora's business and technical education programs. These are just a few of the classes in her portfolio. Suzannah's dedication to continuing education ensures that she provides her clients with the most up-to-date colors, styles and hair techniques.
