La Mirada Tennis Center
2 reviews for La Mirada Tennis Center
I've played tennis here a few times and have had a positive experience. This facility contains 12 courts, each with a partial fence between courts. There are several enclosures making up the total number of courts. You can just show up and play or make reservations.
But it's good to call ahead to find out what the busy hours are so you can avoid competing for court space. In addition, the courts are lighted so if you play into dusk you can see what you're doing. There is a small pro shop as well. This is main office for the courts as well. The parking lot has plenty of space since it's in the La Mirada Regional Park.
The other name of the La Mirada Tennis Center is Lifetime Sports. They run the courts and are a beginning point for the disc golfers who come to play that course in the regional park.
The tennis center is free and open to everyone. Give them a call for specific hours of usage. They are a friendly group.
The only negative thing I have to say is that if you don't have a partner and want to just practice on your own, they don't have a wall to hit up against. Other than that, this is a great local place to play and practice.

It's nice how they have 12 courts, but it's ALWAYS CROWDED.
At least at the times I go, which is weekdays after work (around 7pm).
They give you an option to reserve the courts but then you have to pay up $5/hr, no half hours.
The courts are not the in the best conditions, but it's still good.
Paint is fading a bit and the nets are pretty old looking.
I reserve a court so I have it at my convenience.
I'm sure if I didn't, then I would feel a bit pressured to leave b/c of all the people waiting.
