It's a hidden gem! I love coming here to photograph people because of the picturesque backgrounds and it doesn't get crowded.
A+
This is a wonderful little park kind of hidden off of Santa Gertrudes. The Yelp map is incorrect, so be sure to look this address up before you come here.
I've spent many a beautiful day walking through this deceptively long park. I've even spent a few rainy days here, but I don't think I've ever not enjoyed myself. The park is maintained very well, and the creek and nearby horse stables make this a wonderful place to bring children. A friend of mine even got married here! I don't mean her wedding pictures were taken here; I mean she and her husband said their vows on the platform thingy just off the parking lot.

My puppy was over-stimulated his first time here, what with the horses, a house with the huge guard dogs, the many dog walkers, bikers, joggers and pedestrians. I loved the little stream of water that flows underneath several small bridges and the icing on the cake was that everyone is so FRIENDLY! Passersby comfortably nodded hello while they're doing their own thing. The grassy areas are pretty clean due to mindful dog owners aka pooper scoopers. Way to go La Mirada Creek Park! I love you, and so does puppy.

I absolutely love this park. It's on Santa Gertrudes just north of Imperial Highway. It's a great place to go for a mile walk (course if you want a longer walk you can loop it several times) and be surrounded by horse stables nearby and chicken coops. Families are always out walking, people walk their dogs, etc. There's also several bridges to cross over the creek. The park has numerous trees for shade. On any given day you will find couples lounging on a blanket, kids playing soccer, or even joggers passing you by. Everyone you pass on the path is very friendly and always says hi or gives a smile. The park is in a very residential neighborhood. It also contains restrooms. Last summer and again this summer, the City of La Mirada (http://www.cityoflamir...) will be holding a summer concert here called "Stroll in the Park." The music is very eclectic and suitable for all ages. If you're looking for a very leisurely and semi-shaded path to walk then the La Mirada Creek Park is a good choice.
