A great family owned business! Fast and competent service. The did a super job fixing and cleaning my vacuum. I highly recommend their service and am thankful to have found their shop in my new hometown.

I phoned several Saturdays ago about a particular type of machine I was considering buying. The woman I spoke to was not friendly and in fact rude. I then decided to call another store where I purchased the machine..friendly and knowledgeable staff..sorry it was my only experience.

It worked out great! I'm taking a sewing class through continuing education and when I brought my machine to class, I found out I needed a part. I called La Mesa Sew and Vac and got Jerry (one of the owners) on the phone. He said to come on over and even stayed open late to help me. He answered my random questions about my machine and even called his wife to get answers to the questions he didn't know. Then he carried my machine out to my car for me. This is a great mom and pop owned store and I will definitely be back when my machine needs servicing. Thanks Jerry!

Cute little locally owner store for sewing machines. They have a good selection from beginners to advance machines. I came in and bought a beginner machine, and when I realized I needed something more advanced, they had no problem exchanging it and spending time with me showing me how the new machine works. They have a good selection of thread and sewing supplies. They also have sewing classes. I support local businesses and definitely recommend them for your sewing help.

This place has incredible service. I took my machine in to be serviced and they had it done within a day! They offer to look at your machine at no charge and diagnose the problem. The mechanic will then call you personally to discuss the problem and you can then decide what you want done. In my case, the machine only needed a tune-up. Very reasonable and excellent service. I have a serger, sewing machine, and embroidery machine and plan on only using them from now on. Could not have been happier with the service from this place.

I'm by no means a pro seamstress, but I can make a few crafty things here and there. With that being said, I've had my sewing machine for 10+ years now and suddenly it started skipping stitches and making all sorts of festive noises. I called this snazzy place and they asked when the last time I got my machine tuned up. Um, I didn't know that existed. So off I went to present them with my little crafty sidekick. They took a quick look, and yep, it needed a tune up. Two days later it was ready and good as new. They even carried it out to my car since I had a baby in tow! The guys and gals here are so friendly, so wonderful, I would trust them with all my sewing machine needs!

where are you going to go to get your wife's cherished vintage husqvarna sewing machine fixed when she jams it once again trying to sew 6 felt pork suits (to kill a mockingbird-theme halloween okay)? La Mesa Sew and Vac that's where.. it's family owned, totally honest and they fix all sewing machines - even that cheap vintage one you bought at a yard sale. they've fixed machines that sears couldn't. they give sewing classes as well - call for hours. oh and they also fix vacuums. very conveniently located off the freeway about 10 minutes east on the 8 from golden hill.
