I have been coming to this place for several months now and I really love it.  The place is very clean and fairly quiet. I love how they open the tools they use on your hands and feet from fresh packages,  not just use tools that God knows how many people they have been on before being cleaned. I always get a Mani or  Pedi, sometimes both. I even went in once just for a foot message. They women are always friendly, offering me a drink while I am getting my stuff done. They put a nice scented/warm wrap around your neck and the chairs give you a massage.

They always seem to do a nice, clean job. No paint smears or paint all over my fingers like some places I have been to. They have lots of staff so I usually never have to wait more than five minutes to be served.

They do like cash and will give a discount if you pay with it, which is nice. There is an ATM in the place if you want to get cash out. Not really any complaints and I am a picky person. I look forward to my next service here.

I've gone to this place about 3 or 4 times since 2009. My first adventure there was for a mani/pedi the day before my wedding. First impression:  the place does seem pretty clean and the décor is nice.  The mani/pedi was ok except the guy that did my pedi noticed that I was a little sensitive on the bottom of my feet and took it upon himself to tickle my feet and laugh..... to me, it was just creepy and uncomfortable.  However, imagine my horror when the next day I discovered that he had pushed my cuticles in so far that both my big toes has a small amount of pus coming out - sooooo gross.  Luckily, I had closed toed shoes, but it was super uncomfortable.

I decided to give them a second chance.  Must have been a fluke, right? Nope. Second time wasn't bad UNTIL I went to pay.  I handed the lady at the front desk (who I think is the owner?) my card and she - literally - frowned at me and said, in a somewhat disgruntled tone, "Do you have cash? I replied "No." (thinking that I had missed the "No credit cards sign". ) She then told me "If you pay cash, we give a discount. When you pay with cash the girls don't have to pay taxes." My jaw damn near hit the floor when she said this. I'm not kidding - these words came out of her mouth. She's got some balls (and ZERO class).  I almost couldn't believe it.

Foolish me gave them one last try this week. I went in for another mani/pedi.  The girls were very nice and polite.  I was fully relaxing and enjoying myself until the manicurist started the arm massage.  I SWEAR she was trying to skin me alive.  I couldn't stop wincing from the pain; it hurt sooooooooo badly.  (However, shame on me for not speaking up).  The girl finally took notice of the torture I was feeling on my face and laughed and said "Too hard?" I smiled and nodded sheepishly.  She left (for her scheduled customer) and another girl took over. The second girl did fine of the arms but with the neck massage came more de-skinning.  She eventually lightened up.

Alas, fool me once shame on you.  The second and third time? That's just me being naïve and dumb.  Not going back - EVER.

    And the hunt continues..............

I've only been here a handful of times (no pun intended) but over a span of 4 years.  Now that I have moved from SF to MV I come here more often.
I have never been disappointed in any of the services and the price is right!  The women are very nice and they keep your name in the system so they know you are a recurring customer.
I once got a french manicure that lasted over 12 days, no chipping!
I tell all my friends about it and you should too!!

I received a gift certificate for this place quite awhile ago, and finally got around to using it last weekend.

I was able to get a pedicure immediately upon arriving, with no appointment.

The salon is very clean, and very quiet.
The pedi's here are more expensive than what i usually get, and they seem to do less for the money. I went with the $40 pedi, and they didn't even scrub  the dry skin off my feet, (which they do for $30 at other places that don't look quite so fancy & aren't in such a coveted location.)

My toes look great, and I'm hoping they won't chip too badly over the next few weeks when we're in Hawaii.

I liked my pedi here, and appreciated the gift certificate.  Although, since this isn't that convenient to my house, i probably won't be back.

Big Fan of La Jolie! I've been coming here for over a year now and keep coming back. I usually do an express manicure and pedicure and they always do a great job. Both pedi and manicure are usually done around the same time and they let you sit in their comfy chairs with calf massagers until your toes and nails are dry.  The front desk is really friendly and always ask about your experience there. They have a good selection of nail polish and are very clean..Best part is you get a small discount for paying with cash.

0 stars and negative points! I've been here multiple times in the past and while I thought they had average customer service but good services, so I kept going. This last time I went here, even the star for service went away! I opted for the Zents pedicure - which is whopping $65 for one single reason - Scrub those callouses away w/ that fancy machine.

As I sat down in my chair, I waited for the lady to begin... I noticed that she never brought that callous/dead cell/exfoliating machine with her to my station. I thought perhaps she will bring it later. After some time I noticed when she applied creme to my feet and massaged it that she never did the scrubbing. So I kindly asked her if she forgot about it, which would be okay cuz we all forget some times. To this she tells me that she doesn't think I needed it. That would make sense if she would have brought the exfoliator to my station and then after examining my feet decided not to use it. But she never had it to begin with..Hmmmm, now that's not possible, she is not a pyshic/clairvoyant to know that my feet didn't need exfoliation even before examining them??

So then, I told the owner, that perhaps the lady forgot and the owner said no, you don't need it... and even when I told her that yes, look at my feet, I DO NEED IT, she refused!

If I was paying $20 for that pedicure I wouldn't complain as I am getting what I am paying for.... but at $65 a pedicure I am not even asking for anything more than just what's written under the Zents pedicure description!

The VERY LEAST she could have done was take responsibility on behalf of her employee, I wasn't even asking for a refund or a free pedi the next time....

I came in here last week before heading off to Maine, where I was going to be taking our engagement photos.    I arrived around 6:15 and they close at 7, so I was grateful that they were able to accommodate me.   I agree with others than the ambiance of the salon is very nice - its bright and spacious and seems very clean, and the chairs are super comfortable.    I also didn't think the prices were unreasonable.   $15 for a manicure (+$6 for French tips) seems to be the going rate in Palo Alto and is what I've paid before.  Maybe for more complicated things they're pricey, but for a basic manicure the price is the same as other PA nail salons.   I'm sure Palo Alto is more expensive than surrounding areas for nails, just like it is for everything else.

However, I didn't think they did the greatest job on my nails.   The polish had air bubbles as soon as she put it on, but I didn't ask her to re-do it since I was in a hurry.   I got my manicure on a Wednesday evening, and by Friday night it had substantially chipped off.   To be fair, I am hard on my nails in general, and during that time I spent a day traveling and several hours sailing, neither of which are known for being gentle on your nails.  Still, I would expect a manicure to last at least 4-5 days before it starts chipping.   I had my engagement photos scheduled for Sunday, although they ended up being rescheduled for Monday.   Since I had spent a good amount of money on this manicure, I didn't want to get another one, so I just bought some nail polish and tried to fix it myself before my photos...it was less than ideal.

Honestly, i feel like 3 stars is pretty generous for a manicure that lasted 2 days, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt, since I was doing such active things.

This is a place that I actually wanted to Yelp about it as soon as I got home. After reading reviews from fellow Yelpers, I tried it out and not surprised that this place comes with high marks. The front door receptionist was incredibly helpful and patient in explaining all the options. I also highly appreciated the fact that she made helpful suggestions without the "must sell you something" sales pitch that some places have. She also made an effort to remember my name.

I got the mint refresh treatment and it felt wonderful from the minty bath to the post-massage and lotion. I would highly recommend this place and appreciated everyone's professionalism here. Definitely worth the "Palo Alto" pricing that salons, like this one, in the area charge! :)

OK place but it should be a bit less expensive. The quality is lacking for the price. I am a frequent flyer to the nail places. They did a decent job. It even last almost a week, but I have to repeat myself. Not as spotless as I would expect for the price.

La Jolie isn't your typical Asian nail shop where you have to worry about cleanliness or bad service.  This place is spacious, clean and has a relaxing spa look-and-feel to it.  Their manicurists are all friendly and do a pretty decent job on nails.  Twice, I've dinged my nails on my way out and every time they fixed it for me for free without a complaint or problem.

There are two reason I'm not giving La Jolie 4 or 5 stars though:
    1) They don't have a huge variety of polish colors (I haven't been here in a while though so maybe this has changed).  The last time I went, several months ago, they only had standard pinks and reds but not any of the fun summery colors that OPI carries.
    2) I've come here several times for a mani / pedi but every single time they manage to give me a different service than what I had requested.  I'm not sure if it's a scam or just bad communication but after this happening to me 3x now it seems kinda strange.

This is my new favorite nail salon!  I work an exit away and this is a great place to get a lunchtime mani/pedi.  Today I came in for a refresh traditional pedicure ($32) and was extremely impressed.

Sonia was my nail technician.  She was very courteous and gentle.  Sonia offered me a variety of beverages. She did a quality pedicure and her leg and feet massage with mint leaves was phenomenal.  To add to the wonderful pedicure experience was the clean and relaxing ambiance.  Granite, ceramic tiles and pillars are what you see when you step into La Jolie.

I am a fan and I will become a regular here!  This was one of those experiences where I can say "you get what you pay for".  My coworker friends and I already have plans to have mani/pedi spa day at La Jolie as summer approaches!

This place is much relaxing and less cluttered than Universal Nail in San Mateo and  arrived 8-10 minutes late cause the street was blocked. When I walked into the  salon, there were sheer striped curtains at the entrance along with chandeliers  to make you feel like you are part of  the royal family from the drama series, Dynasty.  The neutral colors on the walls were calm which I felt like I was someone's house, relaxing.

I had the coconut pedicure and peppermint manicure and I must say, these ladies did a wonderful job massaging the troubled areas and giving me the best damn pedi and mani-cures. The only thing I did not like was feeling rush; although,  3PM was nail rush hour. So I had no reason to complain and I am happy I was able to sleep, listen to jazz music and walk away with free sandals...And let my feet BREATHE. Thank you La Jolie!!

I enjoyed my manicure and pedicure in here.  They sit you in lovely massage chairs and take care to ensure you're comfortable with a heated neck pillow and warm water for your feet.

The manicure was okay although I'm not a fan of the nail varnish as it was still picking up scratches hours after application. However, in terms of shaping and experience I had the best manicure and pedicure I've had for a long time.

The only think that puts me off going back is that the staff were so unhappy.   The front desk staff are helpful and friendly but the rest of the staff who do the nails can barely smile.  The place is deathly quiet with quite an oppressive feeling about it.  Some might find this comforting as the staff literally don't speak so there's no fear of having to have a conversation with them, however, I just found it quite uncomfortable.

I prefer to have things done by people who enjoy their work and are comfortable in their environment, I didn't get that feeling here at all.  A shame as the service is very good and reasonably priced.

Found a new go-to nail salon!
I went in around 2 on a Friday and it was pretty busy. The girl at the front checked me in for an express pedi, which is $25, and she helped me pick out an awesome summer color. It took about45 mins for the whole pedi. It was gentle and relaxing. I needed to get an eyebrow wax  but I thought I would run out of time( I was on a lunch break). My manicurist told me she would do it quickly. I agreed to do it bc I was in serious need. The wax was not too hot (and no double dipping!), she was quick and accurate. At the end she rubbed my skin with a cold piece of aloe plant. So soothing! I usually break out from ointments other salons put on but  la Jolie does not use them. No breakouts for me and my tootsies look amazing!

Also, 5% off your bill if you pay with cash!

Sweet! Stopped by here with Thom S. on our way to Starbucks because he wanted his eyebrows waxed. I've never had my eyebrows waxed, but it was fascinating tagging along.

The woman at the counter was super sweet, prompt, and greeted Thom by name. She sent us to the back, and we were led into the waxing room right away.

We were literally in and out the door in under 5 minutes with no appointment, Thom's eyebrows looked great, and Linh (his waxer) even produced some fresh aloe (literally pulled a leaf out of the fridge and cut it open) to reduce the redness on his face.

The pedicure chairs also look super comfy, so I will definitely have to come back and try that sometime.

She spoke no English, but my eyebrows speak volumes.

I dropped by this place for a quick eyebrow wax, and was immediately swayed by three things:
    -the ambiance of relaxation inside
    -the 15$ waxing rate
-the male behind the check-in counter (woot!)

I went into the back in the next 5 minutes -- to a pleasant little curtained off area. I came out looking fabulous.

No qualms. Nothing crazy. Just solid service.

The only reason I can't give this place 5 stars is their lack of polish colors.  I came here for the first time a few weeks ago and had to mix and match my polish to get the color I wanted on my toes.  However, it has been almost 2 weeks and my toes are still painted with no chips and my gel manicure still looks great, even though it's starting to grow out.  I LOVE the massage chairs and that they give you a warm neck pillow.  I just felt pampered here.  You certainly get what you pay for and while I don't think my budget will allow me to spend $70 every 2 weeks for my mani and pedi, I'll definitely come back here when I want to treat myself to a relaxing day at the nail salon!

My mom and I got the re-Fresh Traditional Pedicure. So, so relaxing. They almost had to make me leave my chair.

You walk in to a waiting room and behind the curtain is where they have about 14 pedicure chairs. The curtain makes it feel private and like you're really away from the hustle and bustle of the street.

All chairs are massaging and have the foot bath below, well designed. The technicians are nice and keep to themselves but give a wonderful massage.

The painting was perfect and I left feeling re-freshed and relaxed.

Okay, so I have now gone here 3 times and have never been completely satisfied.

After my first visit, the business owner Ann sent me a message, telling me she would make sure that I receive 50% off my next refresh mani to make up for the subpar experience. This was totally unexpected, and I was super pleased to see that they actually cared what I thought.

Second visit: Refresh mani/traditional pedi from Wendy

Wendy was nice and pleasant, but the actual mani/pedi was pretty average. I have ticklish feet (especially in the arch area), so obviously my feet are going to twitch a little bit when she's trying to scrub them. I had very little callus on my heel to start with, but she didn't get any of it off because she gave up after one pass. The manicure was good EXCEPT... after she finished painting my nails, she dipped a brush in nail polish remover and went around the edges of my nails cleaning up any stray polish. This is totally cool, except for that she ended up removing nail polish from my actual nail (same with the toenails). When I got home it looked like I had already had the manicure for at least 3-4 days. After 4-5 days the manicure looked so ridiculously outgrown that I had to remove it.

Oh yeah, and no discount from the owner. Then again, I'm not a bitch, and I won't demand things that I don't feel I actually deserve.

Third visit: La Jolie Signature manicure from Sandy, Traditional pedi from Lily

Pedicure: The pedicure was great. I had absolutely zero complaints. Lily will probably become my go-to girl in the future. When cleaning up my nails she used a paper towel with polish remover and her nail to clean up stray polish, which didn't clean any off the actual nail.

Manicure: Everything with this manicure was GREAT up until the end. Sandy did the same polish remover/brush thing that Wendy did, and my manicure looked old the second I stepped out on the street. She also smudged my nail after putting on top coat and "fixed" it by dabbing on some more polish. When removing the towels and other things from around me, she smudged the same nail in a different spot. The little bit of bare nail at my cuticles bugged me so much that I tried to fix it when I got home which of course only made it worse.

Now this is where I have a tough time. I know, I'm a masochist. I don't speak up for myself, and I don't stop people from doing things (like using nail polish remover on a brush around my nails) even if I'm pretty sure I'm not going to like the outcome. At this point, I would usually have written the salon off and never come back. But the thing is -- I actually like this salon. It's very clean, well organized, they have nice perks and everyone that works there is really nice, pleasant and best of all understandable. So that's why I keep coming back, and I keep subjecting myself to manicures that I don't even really like in the hopes that I will find one technician that does it the way I like. And I have, I think.

I have a manicure appointment with Lily on Thursday -- if everything goes great then I'll be happy girl and La Jolie will have a regular customer as long as she's available. If it doesn't go well I think I'll have to start trying my luck elsewhere.

I've had two experiences with La Jolie.

    1. I went and got an express mani/pedi with a friend recently which was great. Both technicians were VERY good and VERY fast. The atmosphere is great as well....very warm and inviting.
Between the HUGE leather massage chairs, warm rice pillows for your neck and hot cups of green tea....it's a heavenly place to relax after a hard shift at work.

    2. This time I was in a state of panic. I had gone to a cheaper local salon the day before (....trying to save money.... guess you can't get good quality for cheap) and had gotten gel polish for the first time. I guess the girl who did them was either drunk or just didn't care.... because they turned out looking like what I could have accomplished with some gel polish and a butter knife. I called La Jolie desperate for an appointment and they fit me right in, even a little bit earlier than their opening time which worked out PERFECT for my work schedule!

    Tracy did my nails.
And let me tell you this.
    She is AMAZING!!!

I told her the story of the gel polish mishap from the previous day and she immediately started to work. It took about an hour and by the end my nails looked absolutely AMAZING and I was SOLD on gel polish forever!

It's been a week and my nails look JUST as good as the day I left the salon.

Tracy, if you're reading this, you should know you've gained another customer..... FOR LIFE!

Jolie Nails is most everything you want in a nail shop: clean, consistent and detail-oriented. I have had my nails done there dozens of times by nearly everyone there... all their technicians do a good job.

The polishes are clean and organized by color family with never a crusty lid in sight. Their chairs all have massage and they also offer you bottled water and a neck warmer upon sitting down. The magazines are good, but not spectacular-- you can usually find a People or US that is recent within the last month. They do a normal/good amount of scrubbing, scraping, rubbing and the polish application is always right.

The express mani and express pedicure will cost you $40 total, although you get a discount when you pay with cash.

A great place to drop in without a reservation-- I have never had to wait more than a few minutes.  Go... you won't regret it.

I like to pamper myself but don't really like spending a ton of money, and was wary about spending $65 on a mani/pedi (Shellac polish on the manicure). But, two weeks later, my nails still look perfect on both my hands and feet. Awesome staff along with a relaxing atmosphere. I really can't recommend the Shellac polish enough - it stays perfect and chip free two weeks after I had it done (and I am hard on my nails) and my formerly brittle nails are incredibly strong. Toesies still look picture perfect and I can't wait to pamper myself again. I'll definitely be back.

Hands (and feet) down, the best nail salon I have ever been to.  Every technician does a top-notch job -- no worrying you'll get a slacker or someone who just doesn't care ... that demographic does not exist at La Jolie.  I've been coming here for a while and feel bad I have not reviewed sooner.  Prices are incredibly reasonable, especially for what you get.  Their Express Pedicure is the equivalent of many salons Full Pedicure.  The hostess is always so friendly and I have never felt a snooty vibe.  Took my 9 year old daughter here for the first time today and they treated her like a princess.  I have never had an issue with appointments getting confused or being seen on time.  They are courteous, professional, and I would never go anywhere else.  What can I say?  I'm a total pedicure snob and proud of it!  This place meets my high standards and then some.

I just left this place very disappointed. Been coming here happily for a year. Never once made an appoint... 2 days before my wedding I come all the way from Cupertino at 5:30 PM through serious traffic to be told they can't take me and they're booked. Not even saying if you hang on, I can squeeze you in... Nothing. B/c he acted like my business doesn't matter, I won't bother to go there again. They're too far for me to go anyways...totally disappointed...

    Best pedicure I've ever had!

You know how usually when you get a pedi, you're always PRAYING they'll massage your feet & legs just a *little* bit longer? Well, this experience did not leave me wanting, that's for sure!  Oh it was just wonderful!

    Amazing! Returning without a doubt!

    - BEAUTIFUL place, great atmosphere
    - every detail is cute, from the little leaf-shaped dish they bring the lotion out in to the well designed menu to the music playing
    - awesome massage chairs
    - fair prices
    - friendly staff (some speak barely any english, which is the ONLY downside i've found)
    - i've gone twice and my nails turned out great both times.
    - bring CASH, you get a discount

i love this place. everything seems luxurious and relaxing, and in my opinion the prices are great for what you get.

i get the express mani and pedi, and really there's nothing express about it, they do a great job. they're 15 dollars and 25 dollars. i've never tried any of the fancier stuff but they have so many cool things to choose from.

i will only go here from now on for my nail needs.

Honestly, I didn't think anyone could provide me a pink and white/gel experience like my salon in Pleasant Hill -- but I was genuinely pleased and surprised with the care taken on my nails and comfort by the La Jolie Nail Spa.  They provide a 'spa experience' with neck warmers, brewed green tea and a hand/arm massage with scented lotion, all as part of the package.  I also found their pricing very competitive.
Mai-Lee, you ROCK!  I will definitely return and have already recommended this salon to coworkers.

It's about time that I update my review for La Jolie, since it keeps getting better with every visit. I've been back more times than I can count -- most recently to treat my friend to some pre-baby pampering -- and I can't say enough great things about my experiences.

My sister recently treated me to my wedding pedicure here, and I got the "signature" pedicure -- my legs and feet have never felt better. It was so decadent to get my legs scrubbed in sweet smelling brown sugar. And Linh picked just the right polish to go with my bright pink wedding shoes. They even remembered the story of how my husband proposed to me -- it's great customer service to remember such details about the customers.

I already can't wait for my next visit. Oh, and I've been telling everyone I know to try La Jolie for themselves.

Here's a quickie review because, frankly, it takes too long to craft a well-written one:

It's pretty hard not to like this place. Kim was fast and meticulous with my express pedicure. I might try some other services the next time I go.

    Pluses:
    - friendly staff
    - free trident tropical gum - my favorite!
    - discount on cash payment
    - sizable color selection

    Minuses:
    - i'm too short for the chair....

Love this place!!  Thanks again Yelp!

I live in Fremont but work in PA and was searching for a place to get my gels (I know, trashy ;) filled around work.  I've been to a couple different ones in the University Ave. area and they did a spectacularly crappy job.

So I tried La Jolie and the girl did a wonderful job.  She was fast, made the nails very thin so they look more natural and didn't shred any of my cuticles with the dremel.

I'll definitely be back for manicures when I have the gels taken off and can't wait to try this place out for a pedi.

It is a bit on the more expensive side, so if you're looking for the $18 mani/pedi combo, this isn't your spot.  I can't comment on how long manis or pedis last from here, but I'll be sure to update when i get one.

I decided to finally pamper myself after a long hard shift at the hospital ( yes, they make us residents work 30 hours at a time).

La Jolie is about 2 blocks from our place so I already had big expectations since this could be my new go-to neighborhood nail salon. I walked in and felt completely at ease. Their focus on customer service is really spectacular and their attention to detail makes a huge difference. Everything is clean and aesthetically pleasing. They also have a fairly vast selection of O.P.I and Essie nail lacquers.

The nail technicians are very friendly, super meticulous and they don't fit the stereotype of most nail salons. They are respectful and courteous, and they try to speak only in English with one another as well so that you don't end up wondering if they are really talking about you :)

The massage chairs are heavenly and it's really nice to sip a cup of green tea, close your eyes and just get pampered.

I had to find someone to do my nails quickly as my regular manicurist was not available.... So i found the spa on yelp with great reviews. This place is nothing to be excited about, honestly.... The service is ok, they do try to pamper you a little with neck pillows and massage chairs - they offer water and tea, but the end result is your Mani-pedi which is just ok. .. My nails were poorly painted, uneven by nail beds, the top coat was on the inside of the painted section of the nail and I saw lines that I never see at my regular place. Also this place is a bit pricey- $40/ express Mani-pedi, and they are not shy about asking for tips.... In fact the receptions did not ask me IF I wanted to leave tip, but whether I was going to leave it on my card or pay cash.... Inappropriate I think... Barely making the 3 stars in my book.....

Updated 2 days later - Just dropped another star - i got this done on saturday and today is tuesday - my nailpolish looks really bad - its cracking and chipping!!!! This never happens with Yvone ... sigh.....  I am not going there again.  BTW, there's another salon on California stree that I've been to couple of times and it is much much better... should have gone there.

I went to La Jolie the day before my wedding with my wedding party and my mother.  I was stressed, needless to say, so I was looking forward to a relaxing couple hours.  After my three or so hours here, my stress level had gone through the roof.

We arrived about 10 mins late to our appointment.  Okay, this was our fault but we waited for another 20-30 mins or so to get to our seats.  I was at the very last chair of the floor with my friends and Mom sitting across and next to me.  After another 10 mins of waiting, they told me they had run out of hot water so they are boiling water to do my pedicure.  What? Run out of hot water??? How is that even possible but okay fine.  They asked if I wanted to get anything to drink while I wait.  I asked for water.  Water never came.  When the lady who was to do my pedicure came I asked for water again.  She said okay but water never came.

Since they boiled water, they brought out this bucket to put on top of there usual pedicure machine( or whatever it's called).  It was very uncomfortable as the bucket was sitting on top of what would have been the thing I put my feet into.  I was wearing a skirt so lifting my legs up so high wasn't ideal.

After the pedicure was over, a lady comes by to tell me I need to move.  While my friends/mom stayed in their seats, I had to put on my shoes and walk over to their manicure section.  I ask why and she tells me it's because my chair is too close against the wall and the manicure person can't squeeze in.  Well, you were able to do it for my bridesmaid who was sitting in their chair right across from where I was, who was also up against a wall, and you can't do mine? Okay fine, I move.

I moved, I wait another 20 mins for my manicure person to come and start.  I was already there for 2 1/2 hours (for ONE pedicure!) and I was late for my rehearsal.  After she was done with my nails, I was sitting there for it to dry and lady comes by and tell me I need to move again since they have the next customer waiting.  I move AGAIN to a dry rack but since I'm already there for THREE hours and I was running late, I had to leave.  My nails aren't completely dry and when I go up to the counter, I struggle to get my credit card out.  The girl at the counter just watches me struggle and I ruin my thumb doing so.  I had to go back inside to get it re-done but since the place was packed and my manicure person was already working on another person, the girl who's at the counter comes to re-do my thumb.  Okay, I don't know what her role is but i'm pretty sure she's not a professional nail artist as I could have done a better job than she did.

I was running late, already there for 3 and half hours, so I had to leave.  All day during my wedding I was so angry as I looked down on my nails--not only poorly done but just a BAD experience overall.

This was April 1st and apparently the local high school had prom the next day so they were busy.  Okay, fine but you don't overbook that much so that your other customers have to suffer from it.  there were three high school girls chatting right next to me during my manicure, only one of them was getting theirs done and no one seemed to care they were being noisy.

I see that most people on here had good experience with this place and maybe I just picked the worst day to be there but to me, it's just no excuse to take them 3 1/2 hours to do mani and pedi and make me move two times--and have one of their cashier(receptionist) fix my nail.

I went to La Jolie yesterday for an Express Manicure.  I checked in and was taken back immediately.  I was really impressed that I was offered a drink, massage chair, neck pillow, etc. just for the Express Manicure.  The girl who did my nails was very sweet and made sure I was comfortable.  They seem to run things really efficiently and it doesn't feel cramped, which I really appreciate.  I definitely recommend La Jolie.
