La Grova Ristorante and Pizzeria

Recently visited with friends for lunch.
Table service was excellent with server explaining the specials along with recommendations on the basic menu items.
Dining area was clean and overall ambiance simple but appealing.
Ordered the chicken roll which they specifically cooked for me and a vegetable which were cooked to perfection.
Overall service was great. Server checked up on us multiple times and we felt right at home, not rushed at all.
Restaurant located on the main road but entrance and parking are behind the strip center off Hawkins.

Best pizza. Better than uncle joes across 25 my jerk in law makes me eat uncle joes grease pie. Do not join the dark side Carmine is a neighborhood guy who has the best gnocchi I ever had. They don't use canned mushrooms on pizza like uncle Joe. Been going there for 50 years. Don't be a fascist eat at La grove and get hip.

Best Italian in all of Long Island! I came there on a Friday night, ordered the Chicken Parm, Mussels, Calamari and Tiramisu.. every dish was cooked to perfection. The service was top notch. I love going to family owned restaurants, they made us Californians feel welcomed. 6 stars if possible!!

La Grova offers great family specials. They also have yummy entrees. We love the chicken parmigiana.

Food is always good. We have done takeout & eaten in the dining room. The dining room was remodeled during the pandemic. The family that owns the restaurant is friendly and attentive.

When I ordered from la grova I had good expectations but afterwards I will not be returning and I urge other people to do the same. First ordered a pizza with a free appetizer included. Next I received a very aggressive and unprofessional call from a worker at the restaurant refusing to give me the appetizer even though it was listed as such. To top it all off after calling to complain now about the pizza because instead of mincing garlic like a normal restaurant when putting it on pizza this restaurant barely cut up the garlic at all so there was big chunks of garlic. After calling and explaining their lazy mistake the worker hung up the phone. Update Later this night the manager called me the same person who called earlier as stated as a "worker" I didn't know it then. He attempted to gaslight me over the entire situation and took absolutely no accountability. I picked this restaurant because the last time I went the Caesar salad was good specifically the cheese but this time they changed the cheese to a seemingly cheap one and it's way worse I stick by my original review as the manager only dug himself a deeper hole than actually correcting the situations. Attached is a photo of the lazily chopped garlic which he stood by. A simple google search states garlic on pizza is usually minced.

Solid and consistent. My family and I love to come here any chance we get. The Italian ambience and meals are not only our go to but also are portion generous with a leave you happy feeling. I recommend to anyone wanting any Italian anytime. The family owned business provides a loving feeling of comfort and love. GET THE DESSERT!

The people who own this establishment are just amazing. Really give you that home town feeling when you walk in. Friendly and welcoming. And the pizza is good too. Enjoy.

We've been coming to carmine since I was a little kid. His food has always been good. I mostly have pizza and salad - my family and I enjoy it very much. We always take out so I don't know much about dining in. He's always on time and quick with having food ready. There are places to sit and have a meal if that's what you're looking for!
