5 reviews for La Fogata
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. The place is always very clean, and the food is top notch.
The tortilla soup makes a great small lunch during the winter, and is pretty affordable too(about $6). Everything is so good at La Fogata, and the service is always fast and friendly. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often.
Although it is slightly overpriced in my opinion, I have always had great service and fresh, delicious food.
Convenience aside, I probably won't be going back. Everything was sub-par and overpriced... just like the reviewer who cited Azteca, it's just a meh.
Not sure why this place has such high marks thus far, as my experience was fine - but the food here is definitely mediocre. This place was no better than Azteca, which gives it two stars in my book.
I think most Mexican restaurants are pretty good, but I think this is one of the better ones. The usual fare that you will see at the other restaurants, with a few "Fogata" dishes thrown in. Nice, clean interior, and very colorful. A comfortable restaurant.
An observation - It seems that in every Mexican restaurant I have been to, my order of two enchiladas, rice and beans is #2 on the menu. There must be some restaurant standards board that requires this to be #2. Could be something reached through an international accord. It makes it easy for me to order, so that's cool.
