I've tried. I've tried to continue supporting this local establishment under "new" ownership but the quality has crumbled and the prices have exploded. $4.60 for a slice of undercooked, limp pizza? Are you serious?
Cade, the store manager, is fantastic. Super friendly, knows everyone by name - exactly what you want in a small town. But the owner now couldn't care less about the community (refuses to participate in local events). More to the point, the product just isn't good. They also have undisclosed credit card upcharges. And don't bother ordering delivery. They have about a 50% error rate.
Go across the street and give your business to DiNardos. Better quality and owners that care about the community.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Apr 20, 2016Previous reviewLa Familia is a great local pizzeria that also serves good take-out Italian staples. The staff is super friendly and supports the local community. The manager recognizes and remembers people, which is a major positive in the customer relations column.
The food is fresh and high quality. Obviously, a pizzeria rises and falls by its pizza, which is strong here (try the white pizza or the fresh mozzarella pizza). Garlic knots are also good and the soups are great -- particularly the pasta fagioli.
Two things holding this place back from being 5 star: (1) there's a 55 cent charge for using your credit card. Come on, guys, we're moving to a cashless society and you are the only place since the gas stations of the 1980s that up-charge for using a credit card; (2) the TV could use an upgrade -- its a little small and seems to just get basic cable. - Eric B.Putnam Valley, NY018Mar 18, 2024
Sadly, upon a job interview, these folks are not equal opportunity lenders. They discriminated against me as I called for a job, asking my nationality before giving me a foot in the door. Beware if you are seeking a job opportunity here...seems illegal to me. Last I checked we are in the USA.

Service is always very friendly and quick so I hate to complain, but the pizza is just bad by any standard, including suburban standards. It might be worse than Sbarro. And so heavy and greasy--two slices will stop you in your tracks.
The comparison with the solid pizza across the street at DiNardo's (at similar prices) makes it even more confusing how this place is still in business.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ian L.Bedford Corners, Mount Kisco, NY01161Aug 1, 2022
Decent pizza and Italian food. Easy ordering online. Good caesar salad.. Stay away from the wings.

Passing by as I was in town to work. Happy I did! Not to many places can make a decent pie. Got one fresh mozzarella and vodka slice 10/10. Buffalo chicken slice 10/10!
All safety measures were met!
Fast and easy service!
If I'm working in the area again I will definitely stop in!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - M S.Norwalk, CT0111Feb 28, 2020
We ordered Carborana and added chicken and switched the pasta to the penne. The sauce was red!
I called the restaurant and the person claimed that their carbonara sauce is pinkish and it's noted in their menu?
All the years I have ordered carbonara from any restaurant (good or bad) the sauce is a white creamy sauce with bacon or ham and sometimes with green peas.
This is from the website:
tortellini Carbonara
Savory tortellini in a creamy bacon, onion & Romano cheese sauce
Very disappointed! My Friday dinner straight into the garbage since we live 35 minutes from the place.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sandi C.Pleasantville, NY02125Jun 16, 2020

The prices consistently rise and the quality continues to fall. Not great food. Salads are not at all fresh and seem like they are premixed days earlier. A regular cheese pizza at this place does not compare to DiNardo's across the street and yet they charge you the same numbers. Crazy. The only reason why they survive, I'm convinced, is because they deliver. That's it. Only pizzeria in a town where average income is in the 6 digits. I am determined to refrain from ordering from here again - even though they deliver, and do so quickly. My stomach can't handle their food anymore. It has sunk in its freshness. 3 out of 4 orders in the last six months have left me disappointed, and their prices need a serious adjustment, Pound Ridge, or not. We don't mind spending a lot of money on great tasting food, but this isn't it. Sorry to be negative, but I can't understand how a place can deliver a salad with brown green peppers and the crust tends to taste like cardboard as soon as pizza begins to cool down. They are always very nice inside and I have to say their delivery guys are quick and efficient. However, it's just not enough to excuse the mediocre food.

Pizza can use some improvement, but it's okay - decent - some days better than others I guess. I will return.

Pizza is excellent, though salads have changed since they were Pinnochio, and the food is super fresh. Good value meals, and love the eggplant Parmesan.
