Gourmet S'mores...yes, yes and more yes. La Dee Dah just opened a newsstand of sorts (under the moniker: TREAT) and along with fun local treats such as Chocolate Chipotle Covered Fritos (!!) one can also procure a completely adorable and delectable "S'mores for 2 Package" which includes your choice of 4 gourmet marshallows, a package of graham crackers, a Hershey's chocolate bar, sticks for roastin' and a cozy fire under some trees to roast 'em over. You may think that 4 isn't enough but believe me, it's plenty...you could even split each one into two and have 8 S'mores.

Lessee if I can remember all the flavors of mallows: Rasberry, Key Lime, Vanilla, Chocomint, Lemon Lavender, Whiskey, Butterscotch...oh shoo..there were a slew of 'em. What did I love the most? Combo'd with the chocolate and graham cracker, the Key Lime slayed my taste buds...outrageous! Being a Maker's Mark lover I was supremely stoked about the Whiskey marshmallow, and while it was still mighty tasty, it didn't pack enough of a punch.

Bring a blanket, some wetnaps (marshmallows be messy!) maybe a couple bottles of beer and your night just became the cutest idea for an after-dinner date ever.

*Update* I completely failed to mention how sweet and attentive everyone who works there is. Really sealed the deal for me.

Retail goes Airstream!

Truly gorgeous living art, hand crafted jewelry and home decor... in an adorable 1964 airstream trailer!

Open now in Torchy's old digs, La-Dee-Dah adds a touch of high art to the south first strip.

I was blown away by some of the succulent arrangements... they would make amazing gifts. La-Dee-Dah has also got an assortment of other good holiday-ish loot to put under your tree (and on it!)

Not sure if they're here for keeps, but I sure hope so!

History

Established in 2008

We wanted to bring all our favorite Local treats and cool gifts from all our favorite local and national vendors and put them under one little roof is a vintage airstream trailer. Oh and we really wanted to find a good reason to buy a vintage trailer.

We wanted to create something new, something that had never been done before. We wanted to use our creativity to make a new Austin experience, so that people would walk in and say, I have never seen anything quite like this before. So we opened La Dee Dah last November and have been going strong ever since, and now we have TREAT our expanded Dessert trailer.

Hooray!
