Neighborhood: DowntownDespite a line of four people, my wait was 20 min. Best not to come if you're in a hurry or have to pee. The one gal working was really nice though.
Trying to walk and navigate the paper-tucked to go crepe into my mouth while attempting to avoid getting Nutella, bananas and powdered sugar all over myself proved difficult. I recommend sitting.
In the words of Yelp, 'Yay! I'm a fan', but it was not, 'Woohoo! As good as it gets!'

There's nothing more miserable than having to attend a convention and being in classes all day long, without a break in which to go get a decent lunch. You just keep getting hungrier and hungrier, but you refuse to go get a Subway sandwich like everyone else, because hell, you're in Seattle and why would you come all the way up here, just to waste a meal at Subway? Needless to say, I wanted to get out of the conference all together before getting a meal.
Imagine my great glee when the first place I literally walk into (after the ubiquitous Subway) was La Creperie Voila, which is located just outside the Convention Center. The smell of fresh batter and Nutella made me stop in my tracks and quickly get into line for a crepe of my own. Though I'm not particularly fond of savory crepes, I couldn't resist the combination of proscuitto, Emmenthal cheese, fresh spinach, herb butter, and bechamel sauce. Yum! Yum! The proscuitto and cheese were just warmed through, while the spinach didn't wilt much. The herb butter was probably what brought everything together because it allowed the crepe to stay moist while adding a lovely herb-y flavor. Butter always makes things better!
They wrap it into a little paper triangle so that you can walk and eat, though that can be a bit dangerous when you're trying to navigate downtown traffic. For $6.25, it was a hearty meal that filled me up and made me glad I suffered through the afternoon with no lunch. I'd be back to try their dessert crepes, which looked delish as well!

What a great place for a snack while downtown!! The menu is great and you can even pick and choose and create your own crepe. Of course it is a little tricky to eat while walking, so I would suggest sitting down in order to fully enjoy. The price is right and the location is great. I will definitely keep stopping by!
Yum, Yum, Yum. It was as good as I wanted it to be - maybe even better. Quality ingredients used in the perfect amount (I saw how good the prosciutto looked and was thinking to myself that I wished she'd used more, but then bit into the crepe and realized that any more would have been too much!). Will definitely go back for a sweet crepe as a treat.
Now if only I could find a crusty baguette sandwich street vendor, I'd have all my Parisian favorites accounted for.

While at a convention upstairs, I snuck away from my company's booth in search of a delicious crepe for breakfast. I ordered the butter, maple syrup, and powdered sugar crepe. Now, being originally from NH and so country that I actually have relatives who tap their own maple trees, I am a major maple syrup snob, and being half French-Canadian, I am somewhat discerning when it comes to crepes as well, and my crepe here was perfectly serviceable. It wasn't amazing, but it was quite tasty nonetheless.
As close to an authentic French crepe as you can get in this town. I spent almost a year in France and upon my return I was longing for the great, street-made crepes so easily found there. La Creperie Voila provides this and more! Andrew knows his French cuisine, and knows it well. I highly recommended the PB&J crepe with strawberry jam. The peanut butter is organic and locally produced as well as the jams. Give it a try at least once so you wont be missing out.
YUMMY!!! CREPES! I had the Nutella and bannana crepe w/whip, and it was like a party in my mouth. The crepes are made right in front of you, which is half he fun. My only complaint would be having to wait if the line is long, but it is more than worth it in the end. Also, if you go with a friend, you could actually split one crepe and half should fill you up.
You can't really go wrong with a delicious crepe. LCV serves both sweet and savory crepes. I can't walk by without stopping in for my favorite: Bananas, Strawberries, Nutella (lots of it) and whipped cream. I don't mind getting chocolate all over my face due to the heavenly amounts of Nutella they put in my crepes.
The employees are really nice considering they work, half inside, half outside. I'm sure it gets cold in that little nook.
OMG, I'm craving a crepe right now. I think I'll take a walk down there today. haha!

Really good creperie. I skipped free meals at my conference to eat lunch here.
I love this place. I originally found it through a classmate from my French class who worked here. We had a French "outing" to the creperie and I was hooked from that point.
Delicious! Every crepe I've tried has been heavenly, and I will return again and again. The one star off is for the distance form my house--it simply isn't close enough!
In addition, they also serve Mexican coke (in a glass bottle) I'll take high fructose corn-syrup-free coke any day!
I love this place! You can get crepes with many tasty things in them, customize your crepes, package them in many ways. You can snack there when you wait for a movie in one of local theaters, when you go to or from work, have it with your coffee. You can eat them inside or on the go if you are busy. Lily makes the best crepes (she is that cute little Asian cutie).
I have to say that I only found this place due to yelp. I had a crepe craving and searched online for crepe places and read about this one. Unfortunately, it was raining that night, so we nixed the idea of going to a take-out crepe restaurant. I finally made it here on a good weather day and it was delicious. We didn't want to sit outside at one of their tables with all of the cars driving by, so we went into the Convention Center and found a spot. That was the first time. The second time I came (yes, I had to come back), I parked illegally in the 3 minute load zone further up the street because I couldn't find a better parking spot and got a crepe to go. Even after 15 minutes of travel time, it was still delicious. Fresh ingredients, friendly faces, and good pricing. Yes, you should go too.
Outstanding crepes cafe tucked into an alcove outside the Washington State conference center downtown. Breakfast, dinner, dessert... what's your pleasure? Eggs, Chevre, & Spinach with herb butter and mushroom sauce? Strawberries, whipped cream, and rum? All made with the freshest ingredients while you wait.

When my boyfriend came to visit me in Seattle, we stayed at the Sheraton, which is literally 15 seconds away from this place. I've had better crepes before, but in light of the limited options around and the convenience factor, these crepes are decent. I wish they were a little more thin and crisp though.
One time my friend and I got banana and nutella crepes from here and decided to attempt to sneak them into the movie theater and while paying for our movie tickets, the ticket guy was looking at our crepes all weird. We thought that he was going to ask us to throw them out before going to the theater, but instead he asked us where we got them since they looked good!

If you ever think about going to the Cheesecake Factory, go here instead.
The people are nice. I wanted a lox and spinach crepe, hold the creme fraiche. They went out of their way to offer other things to substitute for it. I took them up on the roasted red bell peppers. I'm still eating it now, it's really good.
I saw the prominently displayed Yelp sticker and mentioned I found the place on Yelp. I said that I'd give them a review later, and my crepier laughed and said I was making her nervous. Nothing to worry about!
Fast, good, well-priced, and a couple blocks from work. I'll be back. I got my crepe to go and didn't go inside, so I can't comment on the seating area.

Hmm, I must admit I am mixed about this place. We used to have a crepe cart on my campus and I remember getting delectable crepes there a few times a week. So I was really looking forward to this place after reading all the reviews. On the one hand, I did like the fresh ingredients and the idea itself. The crepe was good, but I have to admit it was more because of the toppings. When I think of a crepe I think of something paper thin. Here it was much thicker and that threw me off. Maybe the sweet crepes are thinner and the savory ones thicker? I'll be back to try a sweet crepe and see.
Mouthwatering strawberries bright red and lightly stewed with sugar in a skinny, large, pancake.... topped with whipped cream.... a craving where I know the first scrumptious bite would place me in a gastronomical vortex of flavors.... that's wanted I needed today.
And so, I get out of work and head up to the cleanest, Yelp approved crepe establishment in town. Guess what?
"No Strawberries"... I repeat "No Strawberries"!
Apparently, it's out of season. And they're not into the frozen stuff. Sounds reasonable. I'll choose something else.
I never had filled crepes with anything other than... you guessed it..... glorious repetitive bright red strawberries.
First I ordered Nutella and bananas. Scratch. I'm not into trying Nutella for the first time on a huge pancake. Maybe a water cracker, but not my skinny loving crepe. So... I decided on the raspberry sauce with chocolate ganache, fresh chopped hazelnuts and whipped cream.
I watched and the pancake batter is spread around in hot plate. Like an artist the Crepe Chef squirts raspberry sauce in a Figure 8 design. Then, adds a small scoop of ganache. Let's it warm up a bit. And levels it into an even distribution, (about 3-4 minutes).
It's really relaxing to watch, as the thin pancake is folded twice. Placed on a plate. Then, topped with the hazelnuts, whip cream and another scoop of the ganache for the side.
Believe it or not... I still wanted my strawberry crepe.
Delicate. Bittersweet. Hints of raspberry. Perfect whip cream with no added sugar. And fresh chopped hazelnuts. Simply palatable. Excellent dessert. I need some wine. I may need some Paris.
After I see the Disney's Ratatouille... I may go back to try their special vegetable crepe nicknamed Ratatouille. But I'll be back for my Strawberry & Creme Crepe. Maybe get adventurous enough and try the Nutella & Banana Crepe. Options are there for a meal, dessert or both.
toujours avec de grandes nourritures...
Mwahhh.... Mwahh!!!

La Creperie Voila is a rare treat for me. The stand is directly in front of the convention center on Pike next to a Subway. You choose your crepe from a large menu that features a handful of different sweet and savory crepes. Their signature crepe is lemon, butter and sugar. It is tangy and sweet and makes for a great breakfast. If you want lunch you can choose between different meats, cheeses, and vegetables. They also offer other traditional simple French cuisine like ratatouille. The staff is amiable; my friend and I talked to the guy there during the entire process of our crepes being cooked and enjoyed every minute. They aren't the fastest place, and when a line forms you can wait for a long time as it takes about 2 minutes per crepe. I highly recommend La Creperie Voila, especially in the mid-morning when they are likely to have no other customers

This joint became a regular stop for us when walking downtown from Capitol Hill, even when we weren't very hungry. It became a sort of sickness, coming up with excuses to walk nearby, to leave to see a movie at Loews far too early, to accidentally sort of not realize which direction we were walking... Look! The crepe stand! Well if that's not serendipity, I don't know what is...
It's no exaggeration to say that there are days - most days - when a crepe is the perfect food. Warm, hand-held, made quickly, savory or sweet, light or heavy. If there is a large convention at the center, entertain yourself by watching the stunned masses stand in line at the Subway Sandwich shop next door, while you enjoy a genuinely charming meal at the same price.
Favorite crepe: salmon, and politely request them to replace the creme fresh with goat cheese.
Only downer: I've twice gotten ice cream from them, and both times found the ice cream to be merely benign. The chai ice cream tasted so faintly as to almost taste like straight vanilla -- okay, but not what I wanted. I can't even remember what the other flavor I got was, it was so forgettable.
So, in summary: eat crepes. Go with at least another person so one of you can get a savory and the other a sweet, and then switch back and forth between bites.

The area around the convention center could have been an empty dismal void for to-go food, but La Creperie Voila saves the day. I highly recommend any of the savory crepes or the salad. The ingredients all seem fresh and high-quality, although the downside might be a tendency to run out of certain items (e.g. spinach) on occasion -- I was once offered the weird but satisfactory substitution of roasted red peppers.
Thumbs up for the service, always fast and friendly, and generally good about handling special requests. My favorite fast, cheap takeout lunch downtown. Just skip the seating right in front and take your crepe elsewhere -- the traffic whizzing by five feet away and the mobs of conventioneers are appetite killers.

I found this place on yelp, and let me just say the crepes here kick some righteous ass! The only problem is the parking. They're affordable, and reasonably fast which is why I have a problem with paying for an hour of parking just to go there. A+ on the crepes F- for locale.

Especially on Mondays when Saley is closed and I still have to get a crepe, I sometimes go to this crepe shop.
Someone has mentioned that their crepe is little dark and it is for me too...but it's ok. I still like it.
I usually get the cured ham one. it's good :) cheese and spinach...this can not go wrong....I don't think it can really.
Then I eat it in the Convention Center where it's warm and clean.

I like this place because they listen to you. TH wanted a ganache crepe without a lot of sugar and they did it. Ditto for my citron crepe, light on butter and sugar.
I have yet to try Saley, but honestly, after my bad supreme experience a few years ago, I haven't had a crepe experience in Seattle.
I say, if you are the convention center, check it out.

Creperie Voila is my favorite place to grab a quick meal when I'm downtown. The crepe masters at this place are very friendly and whip up delicious and inexpensive crepes in a jiffy. I love the ratatouille crepe, as well as the proscuitto (or is it ham?) and swiss crepe. I also love to drool over the French pastries in the display case while I wait for my crepe to be served. I haven't yet tried the pastries, but I'm sure I'll fall victim to them one of these days.
Creperie Voila is a great place to meet up for a quick meal with friends before a show at the Paramount or an event at Town Hall. It's also an excellent place for people watching. I recommend enjoying your crepe at the tables on the sidewalk and watching the tourists and convention attendees (Creperie Voila is in the Convention Center building) wander into the Cheesecake Factory across the street.

We stumbled upon this place in search of a quick bite to eat on our way to the Triple Door...after reading about how Wild Ginger got written up for unsanitary practices and the fact that their prices are ridiculous, we wanted to find something on the way.
I heart this place. Juliana is the cutest thing ever and makes fabulous mouthwatering tasty crepes.
I wish it were closer to my office so I could go there on a regular basis, but alas, I must make a special trip in order to enjoy the yummy yummy crepes Juliana has to offer.
so we were waiting for the movies and were hungry.. usually I'd just wait to gorge on the overly salted buttered popcorn with my big coca cola but... fuck I am hungry... so I just left my girlfriends and walked over to the crepe shop.. ok ok i sound like a mean person that only thinks with her stomach.. ok... well I am that person.. but they were smoking and I don't smoke.. so I decided to cure my addiction and walked over for some food... there was a line.. of course there was a line.. but damn it was fast... I think
1. being hungry
2. fast line
3. cheap crepes
made it worth going there..... :)

Tres bien!
I've been craving crepes since we got back from Paris and I finally indulged again! The boy found this gem a few weeks ago and told me to make the hike up to tourist central to enjoy them. I avoided it for weeks but was glad that I finally did make it up there.
They had a nice variety of lunch crepes and dessert crepes. All freshly prepared by their friendly staff. And a few tables nearby to enjoy an alfresco dining experience.
So good it makes you wonder why people go to the Subway next store.

Oooo la la, how can you go wrong with a crepe? Well, I mean unless it is cooked too doughy or burnt. Anyways, I am a purest when it comes to crepesso it's butter and sugar only, tres francais, and wrapped to carry, no plate. It was a perfect Saturday morning breakfast on the go. They also have many fruit and savory crepes. And my other favorite Nutella, mmmmmmmm!

La Creperie Voila is my favorite take-out spot in downtown Seattle. Just walk up to their roll-up storefront and come away delighted. I regularly get stuck spending long hours at the Convention Center for work and always look forward to indulging in a little sweet & savory outside. They have a reasonably varied menu and will make crepes to order while you watch. The staff seems pretty consistent in their technique/cooking and are chatty while you wait.
I usually get a lox & spinach crepe with an egg scrambled in. Once I got something with feta and ended up with more feta than I'd ever know where to put, but otherwise have no complaints. The dessert crepes are simple and wonderfully sweet.
Did I mention you get to watch? These people have skill. I wish someone would rake me with crepe batter the way they do...

Voila is a frabjous exception to the generally dismal Seattle crepe offerings. When we stopped at the sidewalk window after a movie, the woman who made our banana-Nutella crepe approached artistry. Her hands never stopped moving as she assembled our crepe with near-surgical precision.
The end result was outstanding--a firm, neat, paper-wrapped thing with enough body to make for decent walking food and good balance between filling and pancake.
The service wasn't as fast it probably should've been, considering the stand serves a bus-stop crowd. And the coffee was regrettable. Still, I'd risk missing a bus to stand in line here again.

How refreshing it is to stumble on enchanting little independent businesses that pay attention to artistry and detail. Creperie Voila, like charming Monorail Espresso just down Pike Street, is tucked into a modest unlikely space. In an inconspicuous stretch on the outside of the convention center and little more than a sidewalk counter, it offers tasty crepes made fresh on the spot, with a variety of simple savory and sweet fillings to choose from.
The crepes, good on their own merit, are even better for having been deftly prepared before one's eyes--watching the thin, milky batter swirled round the special griddle with a wooden spatula, seeing it come to a bubble as the fillings are gathered, salivating as the fillings are added and the golden brown edges are folded over...mmmm... They also offer tasty mesclun salad and desserts, all offered to go. For take-away fare, it's hard to beat.
Last night, we found ourselves stranded in the desolation of the Convention Center and in need of a quick bite. Subway or Crepes - the choice was easy. We ordered the proscuitto and lox crepes. They were prepared as we watched. With some finesse and attitude, I might add. The clanking and sliding of spatula on cooking surface so turns me on!
Okay, back to the food. Turns out it was pretty tasty, altough I swear that the proscuitto looked/tasted more like black forest ham. And I groaned to myself when the crepes took on more of a tan than I'm used to seeing. "On too high", I told myself. As it turned out, the crepes were fine and not at all crusty or crunchy as I was expecting. Must be the secret formula.
Bonus points - the lady was kind to the candy-hawking kids who needed water.
4 Stars - I'll eat there again.

Strolling around Pike St., see a Subway facing the street kiosk style, not a bad idea, I remember seeing these in Paris for crepes...and wait a minute. Right next door is what looks like a traditional French creperie! It turns out to be just that! Brilliant. Very nice place with excellent pastries and terrific crepes! You can get for lunch, supper, or even dessert. Definitely worth checking out.

This place is amazing- I went three times in 4 days. First visit was because I was desperate for dinner and it was within walking distance of my hotel. I wasn't too sure what to order or if I even wanted to being that I am "not picky" :) so I just did the walk by/watch dance at first. What I viewed convinced me to order! I was rewarded with a o so delicious dinner crepe of procuitto, spinach, belchimi sauce, and cheese. The crepe was sturdy and just right. Easily transportable back to my hotel with plastic silverware in my grasp. Inspired by the crepes I saw being made during my first visit I returned again and again- the last time bringing a friend I convinced to visit me downtown just for my crepe excursion. Ordering both the Banana Foster (fresh and with a flambe show) and a Dulce de leche with strawberry crepe~ we were in heaven. All of my crepe master creators were wonderful. The last master was a chatty and inquisitive man who added on ice cream to my friends de leche order without a word after learning that she had recently been to France and was excited to taste familiarities from her travels. The masters are also quick and generous with their kindness and serving size. Prices are very reasonable- much less then the crepe stand at Fremont or even those of food festivals. The ice cream that they use is locally made- I recommend the coconut. There is chair seating in the sidewalk if needed. They have pretty late hours and were the only ones basically open on Sunday night after 6 pm. Get yourselves there if you haven't already and at least try the cinnamon and sugar with lemon for $3.

This seems to be a pretty dismal area for food. I asked the baristresses at Monorail whether there was anything worth eating nearby, and they basically said "no, either go down to the market or over to Il Fornaio." So I tried La Creperie Voila.
In the long, slow line I had plenty of time to decide what I wanted. Was leaning toward the roast chicken, until I saw the chicken on someone else's crepe, which made me change at the last minute to the "prosciutto." The moment I saw that, I regretted it -- looked more like vacuum-packed lunch meat, and tasted that way too. The rest of the filling was good, but the crepe was overdone.
The next morning I gave them another chance, trying a smoked-salmon and creme fraiche crepe for breakfast, and this time it was underdone, they forgot to add the egg I'd ordered, and the flavors just didn't really come together.
Third star because the employees seemed really nice, and some soup I had there was good, otherwise I'd give it only 2... worst two savory crepes I've ever eaten.

With the surrounding businesses such as The Cheesecake Factory and Subway, you wouldn't think that there is an independent creperie sandwiched between the cooperate mucky-muck of downtown Seattle. but all of this is unimportant, what we are discussing today is crepes. My past experience with crepes have been pretty sad. usually too chilled, too wet, too greasy, or too heavy. La Creperie Voila is amazing in that its crepes have a superb balance. The amount of cheese, egg, and spinach was just enough as to not let it fall into the region of a meal, but allows it not to be too light as to be fulfilling. Coming in at around 5.50 for a crepe, it isn't the cheapest street food, but at 1.50 more than a hot dog at the theater, or a cardboard sandwich at subway...how can it be bad? Oh...and the best part? you get to sit and eat your crepe as uninformed out of towners clamor in lines outside the cheesecake factory.
