Review from Rick F.

Directly across from the popular Whale City Bakery in Davenport CA, we spotted this empty little taqueria that looked like it could use some business. We walked in and the place was empty. There was, however, a team of family members (possibly 3 generations) seeing to the restaurant.
I like to measure a Latin restaurant by the quality of their carnitas, so that is what I ordered. Carnitas and a beer. The food did not disappoint. The carnitas were crispy on the outside and very tender on the inside. I had not had such a good thing since I stumbled upon place called David's in South Beach Miami.
It was so good that we came back the very next day for dinner. After chatting with one of the kids helping his parents run the place, we found out that the place had only been open for 3 days. We were so pleased to have been one of the first customers. We let the young kid know that we enjoyed the food so much that we were back a second day in a row. He beamed with pride for himself and his family.
The food was great, service was great and best of all the restaurant was family run. I hope to get back there next time I'm on the west coast. -

This is a pretty good little Taqueria with good service and traditional style food. I had a combo with a relleno that was good but a little small and a tamale. The refried beans were heavy on the lard and smothered in cheese. I'll probably be coming back soon and trying something else on the menu.

good food, my husband likes the fish tacos I usually get the enchiladas. Service is good but it gets crowded especially on Sundays.
