Hell to the yes! This bar is outstanding. If you're into Mezcal and you're not in Oaxaca, this is probably the very best place to visit.

What you get here is a tiny divey little bar that's super dimly lit and super funky. They serve Oaxacan style food -tlayudas included- and they have a long list of mezcals to try. If you know what you love you can order entire carafes. If you want to try various things you can order by the ounce.

The mezcal menu is super thorough and the staff is really helpful at helping you pick what to drink. As a group of 5 friends, we all opted to do a few rounds of mezcal and ordered by the ounce. Our server was great at remembering everything we'd ordered so by round 3, we'd all been able to try more than 15 different mezcals. Prices were crazy reasonable -if not dirt cheap- and the food was extremely delicious. Fantastic place to visit on our first night in town.

La Clandestina is my kind of dive bar.  All the mescal drinks are wonderful and varied, but I particularly like the reposado.  I never have tried the food, but I hear good things.

This is a mezcal-loving hipster paradise in Roma Norte. So naturally, I fit right in. The bar itself is dark, small, and easy to miss on the street.

What I personally loved about this place, was that the menu was a large thick book of mezcal choices. Each page had the specs of each mezcal; age of plant, number of distillations, date of production, etc. We ordered a small jar of a mezcal that was barrel aged for three years that was possibly the best mezcal we've ever had in our lives.

This is one of my favorite mezcal bars. They have such a great selection and the prices are reasonable. I usually go for a reposado and have never been disappointed. The mezcal is in a water-jug delivery system that takes up the entire wall behind the bar. It's super cool. They also have bottled beers, fresh jamaica juice, and food but I haven't tried the food.

It's a small place with not a lot of seating options but they have space out front for standing. The decor is that of an old general store which adds to the dive-bar vibe.

I just love La Clandestina. The low lights and warm tones make it a particularly cozy and inviting place. I've made sure to stop by once or twice every time I'm in DF (i've probably been there at least 6 or 7 times in the past 3 years.)  Nice selection of mezcals. One of the waitstaff, a younger guy, was just such a pleasure to deal with, on a few occasions that we've had him as our server. We had limited Spanish, he had limited English, but it was fun to try each other's languages on each other without judgement. A great place to kick back in Condesa, and enjoy sampling a few mezcals.

Wonderful, cozy atmosphere to relax and enjoy a Mezcal tasting. Although I've had mezcal before, this was my first real tasting and the owner made it a truly memorable experience. Each Mezcal has its own page on the menu with a detailed profile. The ambiance couldn't have been better!

Cozy, friendly location with great tasting Mezcales.  The Mezcal are primarily from large jugs (sold to them by bulk I assume) and may not have brands you are familiar with.  Either way, their menu is rather extensive.  The prices are a bit high than I expected.  I would go again, but likely not for more than 1 or 2 drinks.

A fantastic little place with great music, funky appetizers, and many, many different kinds of mescal. Try the pozole!
