I like this place for a consistent family mexican restaurant. The staff is wonderful... kind and attentive, but they also know how to make you crack a smile every now and then. The little things that the waitstaff does makes all the difference, like seating us up front when there are lots of little kiddos in the back room (and we looked like we could use a few margaritas on a Friday night). Also, the restaurant always seems to be well lit and clean which is a must in my book.
We get food to go just as often as dining in. My husband always gets the same burrito (burro costeno) but I've tried new items every time and haven't been dissappointed yet. Chile colorado, Chile verde, chicken and mole, as well as the combinaciones have all been excellent!
Located at the pinelake shopping in Sammish La Casita is a cheap option for a mexican food. The portions are big and the environment is quite and ideal for family lunch/dinner.
The menu is variated and i had the fajitas which were great. The tortilla soup is not that good but an option and unfortunately the "salsa" is not hot.
The service is good and waitres are very friendly.
