This is my local late-night Cuban diner spot out in the 'burbs. The place gets crammed around midnight with families and weekend-partiers.
I go here when the munchies strike.
I go here for 2 things only that I eat in the same meal.
1) Fried Yucca, green sauce on the side
(cilantro/garlic sauce, super good! i think of pomme frites when I dipp'em)
2) Arroz con leche. (dessert of sweetened milk rice porridge)
Yeah, I'm simple and freaky like that.
This local Miami chain offers dependable, inexpensive Cuban food. La Carreta is a great place to visit to get a sense of regular, non-touristy Miami--the Bird Road location is quintessentially Latin Miami.
