I've only been here a few times.  I normally cannot make a manicure last more than a week, my life just doesn't allow for it, so when the first one from this place lasted a week and a half I was stunned.

Big plusses, as contrasts to my old place:
1) They don't force you to maintain any sort of awkward conversation
2) There aren't any TVs with lame midday shows blaring on in the background
3) They seem to have at least two copies of every magazine at the drying station, and they're Current! (I know this has nothing to do with the job they do but it's a great perk)
4) They're a block from my office
5) The techs are quick, and it's cheap - though they're combo prices don't seem to offer much of a discount.
6) Depending on who you get, the moisturizing step includes a great hand and arm massage.

The minuses:
1) They seem to attract the on-the-verge-of-divorce middle aged type women who just Loooove to bitch about their kids. At least that's who is sitting next to me every time I'm there.
