my friends and i use this place for our annual holiday party and i can't say enough good things. we had such great service, a full 5 course meal hand picked by myself and the owners, and such 5 star treatment. I do miss it being a grocery but the atmosphere and food are so wonderful we will just keep going back for all our special dinners year after year.
Had dinner here for a friend's going away party. By day this Ft Greene storefront is a small grocery store with a French slant to it. By night it's a family style restaurant. It was a simple 3 course meal - served family style. To start we had amazing gazpacho with all sorts of fun add ins like chopped red/green peppers, cucumbers, harissa, red onions and homemade croutons. For the main course there was sauteed hangar steak with caramelized onions, rice and really fresh tasting zucchini. For dessert, chocolate fondue with strawberries & bananas. All in all the food was solid - although I guess it would depend on what was being cooked that night. BYOB was a nice touch. For me it was a fun night with about 20 friends and acquantainces.
