Four stars, because I know how great L&L can be. This location opened today and the first day might not have been the best day to try it out. The food was great, but service was slow and portions were not living up to my memory of heaping Chicken Katsu over fries. The dining room is a bit small, but functional, very clean (most likely due to being brand new), and pleasing to the eye. I've given the benefit of the doubt, because I know they will shape up. If not, mark my words, I will edit this review. I know I'll be back 15+ times in the next few months, because this place is walkable from my house.

The L&L Hawaiian BBQ Spare Ribs were just like I remembered when I last ate at an L&L in Honolulu, HI. Most L&L's in the mainland never taste the same as the ones in Hawaii but this one was great. They just recently opened and the Hawaiian owner came out and thanked everyone who walked in the door. Very nice guy but don't remember his name. Still recovering from a long night out drinking last night. So my memory was shoddy at best.
It's a small eatery that's made more for take outs only. There were a total of 6 tables and a counter with high chairs.
So I suggest going there soon if you're into any type of cheap Hawaiian grub. Like other L&L's, it'll probably degrade over time.
