What looks like your typical Americanized Japanese restaurant (and is inside of a strip mall) is actually a fantastic spot with a huge selection of options

Tons of both classic and unique sushi roles, other Japanese, dishes, and a few dishes from some other Asian cuisines as well

The service here is very fast, and the servers are very attentive

I got a miso soup and a specialty sushi roll and it was all very delicious

Stopped into Kumo for some sushi and this place was popping! There were not many empty tables but I happened to find one and decided to eat inside the restaurant instead of takeout.
The restaurant had a sushi specials menu as well as regular rolls; Thai, Chinese, and hibachi entrees.
I could not make a a decision on what I wanted but ended up ordering the chicken with broccoli with fried rice. The fried rice is $1 extra. The chicken and broccoli came out hot! The texture of the chicken was a little off. The rice didn't come out at the same time as my entree.
I also ordered the Pokémon roll. The roll was huge and very delicious.
I wish the waitress would have brought out the roll and just waited for the rice to come out at the same time.
I would definitely be back to try more of what Kumo has to offer.

BLUF: the food is tasty, but it doesn't quite match it's menu description

Four of us went on a Friday night. The wait staff was very friendly, but it seemed like they just couldn't wait to take a plate off your table. If you're not quite done with something you kind of have to lean over it to make sure they don't snap it up on the way by.
I would recommend getting a reservation if you go on a weekend. The place was quite full and I was glad I made a reservation ahead of time.
We didn't have any drinks or anything so here's a rundown of the food:
- Thai Beef Basil: it was actually relatively Bland, especially when you consider it had one of those little peppers next to it on the menu to indicate it was spicy. I ended up having to add a little wasabi from my Sushi to it to spice it up. The beef was well cooked and the gravy was very good.
- Teriyaki Vegetable: quite good, with pretty good fresh veggies thrown in
- Octopus sushi: very good. Wasn't rubbery like I often find, but it was a bit of a thin slice considering you're paying about 3.50 a piece for it
- Veggie gyoza: very good, with a nice crisp sear on it and veggies inside tasted fresh
- Herndon Roll: very good, with a nice balance of rice and fish
- Spicy Salmon and Yellowtail Roll: the role itself was pretty good, but again didn't live up to the spicy label put on it on the menu.

If I were in the area I would go back, but I would definitely stick to the sushi.

I oder food to be picked up in 45 minutes. This was noted in the order. Also requested extra dumpling sauce.

Both were ignored. The order site said no extra fees but the restaurant charged a convenience fee. When asked about it, the hostess said it wasn't their fee.

I did not receive the extra sauce. The normal sauce seving was less than a tablespoon. The dumplings were not even warm, they were room temperature.

The hostesses stated they do not read any of the notes/comments/order memos. The staff that processes the orders can not read English, so they can not read any special directions.

If you are looking for low quality, cafeteria style food, this place may work for you.

Cool spot to hit up if you want a good meal from delicious chicken and rice entrees of any kind to tons of sushi options you won't be disappointed with. Plus great service and a nice setting to relax in and enjoy your food in.

My son came for a visit from Glasgow, Scotland and said he wanted sushi .. this place came highly recommended so I took him and my daughter . He was surprised they offered Chinese as well so basically he ordered the menu .. food was amazing and service was outstanding . I live so close to the place but never been but it's now my go to !!!

We have been coming here for the past 2 years. We had everything: delivery through door dash, pick up, dining in. Service was always good and we never had issues with our food. It's definitely cheaper to do a pick up or dine in as delivery up charges every dish.

I went to pick up food for 5 people and it was ready under 20min and packed well.

This place also is pretty busy even on weekdays. For Thursday evening I was surprised to see almost full seating and many orders waiting to be picked up.

There is plenty of parking around the restaurant too.

Love the sushi, always tastes fresh and easy to order online. Price is reasonable for this area. Love they always give gluten free soy sauce

We've been coming here for 6 years and always had great service, sushi always comes out fresh with a fantastic presentation each time.

Was in the area with my honey do and we stumbled upon this restaurant. With recommendations from our waitress we got the coconut shrimp, tempura salmon roll, and the crispy shredded beef. Everything was amazing, absolutely amazing. The shrimp was very coconut-y and mixed with the sauce was good. The salmon roll was fresh and the beef entree was cooked to perfection. I can definitely see why this establishment has almost perfect reviews.
