1 review for Kularb Lounge
Simply put, best Thai / Lao food in DFW. but....Ambience is a total 0, and yes this place does it's biggest crowds on Friday and Sat nite, when they do cheesy Thai karoake until the wee-hours. Inside is a basicaly a large dance floor, with a small karoake stage. The tables are your standard food festival or picknic tables, and they even have the obligatory disco balls hanging from the ceiling.
But the Food!!!!. Having hit Thailand a few times, I am spoiled. But their food tastes just like the street stall-food you get there.
Three stalwarts are the beef salad, the ginger chicken, and the basil fried rice. The basil rice has long, dark green strands of basil, that just has me shaking my head why other Thai places don't do this??
And without saying, the som-tam, the papaya salad, is nice to have on the side-. Be warned, they make the food for outsiders fairly bland, so be emphatic if you want your food spicy-like I do. The green curry chicken is just simply off the chart. Lots of chicken and veggies, complete with those heavenly round asian eggplants.
Feels weird going to a club atmosphere for food, but I can't knock the food.
Mostly See Thai and Lao families there, and they usually order the pho, which I haven't tried yet.
