The Kronberg Inn was a delight for it's value. It's walking distance to the main center of Solvang and next to a small convenience store that's open late compared to other stores.

The rooms are big with a nice modern decor. They have a nice wide screen TV with a small refrigerator. The bathroom was clean as well. I saw a pool with a jacuzzi there. They also provide breakfast which consist of pastries, coffee, tea, cereal, hard boiled egg and others. It was alright and better than other Inns that had breakfast.

The only draw back was the noise from Mission road. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room in the back. I mean, the noise wasn't that bad but audible at night.  I would totally return back here.

For the price you pay, this is a five star hidden gem.  The rooms are large and well appointed.  The location is good - a two minute walk to Olsen's or Paula's.  Wide screen televisions and freebies from Bath and Body Works.  Friendly staff and free wifi.

The only potential negative I noted was that the inter-room doors have a pretty sizable gap at the bottom, which could lead to problems if the next door resident is loud (we didn't have one, so I couldn't evaluate.)  Also the roadway noise was surprisingly audible in spite of the property's layout.

In scrambling for a last minute business trip, I was lucky enough to stumble upon this adorable little find for a lovely $63/night.

The location is perfect - far enough off the 101 hwy to not hear the noise ... but close enough for easy access.  What's really great is that you are within walking distance to downtown (wine tastings, shopping, restaurants, etc) and for added convenience, there is a little market almost next door.

The room was perfectly clean and the shower water pressure was fantastic.  The inn has a sweet little pool and hot tub in its court yard ... not a lot of laying out room but I was lucky enought to score a lounge chair so no complaints.  The office lobby has a computer with free internet access and there is a complimentary continental breakfast which wasn't elaborate but certainly served its purpose.

The only negative thing i can think of is that the room lighting was incredibly dim ... I had every lamp on and it was just not working for small-print-reading ... even the bathroom lighting was pretty dark so the make-up application process was probably not as perfect as I would have liked but who cares ... this place is totally clean, super adorable and nicely affordable.

Sarah K beat me to it!

Anyways, I stayed here a few weeks ago and for what I paid and what I got, it was a pretty good experience. I'm always iffy about small motels and inns like this just because I'm thinking "$50 for a room? Really? What's wrong with it?". But it was a pleasant experience, good location, and friendly staff.

Because Solvang is so small, even this hotel is at the end of town, its really easy to walk to your favorite destination (or wine tasting location). The rooms were large, it had a fridge, and although it was kind of dated, still pretty good.

I had to wait about 15-20 minutes for check in, but the staff was accommodating. Continental breakfast is very basic, but good if you just want to grab something small. Pool and spa are tiny, but there were people enjoying it when I was there.

I've stayed at the Kronborg twice now, and it's a very good value.  Ask for a room upstairs, the low ceilings in the lower floor rooms can make it dark since the only windows are the sliding glass doors.  A comfy bed, microwave, fridge, desk, chair, dresser and TV are in every room, and the rooms are fairly large - enough for me to do pilates in!  The upper floors have great balconies with tables and chairs overlooking the pool.  They have recently refurbished the rooms, so everything is shiny and new.  Downtown Solvang is within easy walking distance.
