Decor is very contemporary and clean.

Bartender was nice and polite - attentive to my drink.

The food was okay - but it was mostly just status quo.

Nothing stands out to me at all. It was just okay.

Love this place! It's a bit pricey but all the food is good and it's truly a family-run place. You feel like you've stumbled into a chic Greek home, banter and all. They are also great about changing the TV to whatever game/event you want to see!

One of the family even asked if I would try out a drink that she'd read about (chocolate stout plus raspberry frambois- mmm!) and then didn't let me pay for it. I plan on making it a habit to come here!

How are these guys in business at all?

No bar menu.  No happy hour.  Mediocre expensive food that should be skipped entirely.

Consider them if you want to have a private party in their upstairs loft.  I'd tell you if it was affordable if I had any interest in holding an event here, but I can think of about 30 venues that I would want to hold it in first.

There is valet available on date nights, I think.

C'mon, Kristos.  You have a pretty cool location surrounded by tons of apartments.  Can't you come up with a reason for people to come here and spend money besides having sports on a couple of tvs?

Come here if you want to see why most bars and restaurants fail.

So I went here on Saturday, no clue what I wanted to drink...so I just asked for something fruity and colorful!

The bartender asked me what my fave color was, and I said purple... HE MADE ME A PURPLE DRINK!!  It was pretty cool. About half way into my drink... I SPILLED it all over the floor and he made me a whole NEW one, no charge!!

NOW THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE! not to mention I spilled it a SECOND time and again...he made me another drink. It was pretty awweseom.

The food, was delicious! To me it's a very casual laid back place, i didn't expect the food to be all that great... but it was PHENOMENAL.

The waitresses and bartenders were very engaging and accomodating. I loved loved loved it! :D

Ok. Yes the menu is being tweaked. Yes the drinks are a bit watered down. But I like it here because they are super accommodating and actually care that you walk away happy.
Here is what I find fantastic there:

The WINE. This is not you average wine list. It is short and sweet but delicious. I had to write down the name of a bottle, I loved it so much. Greek food is meant to be eaten with wine, enough said.

The lentil soup is yummy.
The keftedes which are beef and lamb meatballs are hardy and filling.
the ny steak is tasty and I am not one to usually like steak.
The  pastitsio, which is a Greek lasagna would be perfect if there was more bechamel sauce, but they are so sweet here that I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem.

Overall I like it here, and will come often

I think my friend who patrons Kristos once a week said it perfectly, "You'll find that this place is not the best of anything, but its good".

What was good about walking into the expansive sea blue drenched uber greek chic was Kristo and Patrick the owner and bartender respectively.  Whom, regardless of the lack luster menu (whose ever heard of a greek turkey sandwich {$10} ?), were incredibly warm and welcoming.  So much so that you wished the place was small and quaint.  Why they went with douche and flatscreens is beyond me.

Still my cherry-less Manhattan cocktail {$6} was tasty and the patron eye candy was too ( I imagine they were all friends of Kristo and his family as they were stunningly Greek looking and were clearly not paying for anything).

I never go big on Greek food, and I think this is why.  Stick to Ali Baba on Broadway where a falafel is a falafel, and its served by a mexican.

First thing's first: I didn't eat dinner.  I don't know if that would have impacted my opinion or not - likely would have.  Regardless, I live in the neighborhood and was looking for a place to grab a snack and drink when I got off work early last week.  They were hosting a private party, so there was a doorman checking ID's...  abnormal for them, I was informed.

Just grabbed an albarino and some really tasty fries (garlic.  feta.  french fried taters.  mmmmm.) and read a book.  The friendly server forgot to put my food order in, and - even though I didn't mind, had nowhere to go, wasn't starving - she thoughtfully comped my snack.  Unnecessary, and oh so appreciated.

The staff was super attentive to the non-party goers, and I give them props for that.  It's easy to overlook the little lady sitting by herself when there are 35 screaming drunks taking over the majority of your space.

Summing up: they left a good enough impression with their friendly, accomodating service that I want to go back for a real meal.  Here's hoping the next experience is as positive.

Kristos kicks ass!  They have amazing food here- go check it out!!  Get the meatball appetizer- the lamb-beef meatballs are terrific and their marina is perfectly sweet and tangy.  The hummus plate rocks.Everything else I've had is quality.  I haven't had a gyro here yet but I was drooling checking out the one this one dude next to me was eating.  And yes, there is a bar as well to get your drink on.  The staff is super friendly and attentive.  For my money, this is by far the best place to eat and drink in Eastlake.

Yeah, it's nice having something new, contemporary, enjoyable, and fun - this is a great alternative to EBG. At happy hour, half price food and cheap drinks - nice. In the evening, it's a nice atmosphere and funky ultra lounge-ish interior.

If you are a fan of cheap, trendy decor and beer you can get anywhere. Then BOY do I have a place for you!

The first thing you'll notice walking by Kristo's is the Blue neon or led lighting they have along the bar and you'll wonder "Why?" The first thing you'll notice when you walk in the door and wait to be seated is that they have an automatic door like the entrance to a supermarket and that it activates even if you are 6 feet away from it over and over again. The first thing you'll notice when you order a drink is that it's not strong at all in fact they are too weak so they seem like a rip off. If you're going to get a mixed drink here just order juice instead because that's what you'll be drinking. The first thing you'll hear when you ask your waiter/waitress about the food is: "We're still tweaking our menu...but it's fusion greek mediterrainian itallian." The next thing you'll notice is some douche bag sitting at the bar wearing a http://Myspace.com hoodie and thinking that maybe you're a little too close to the U district...

I ordered the Greek Lasagna I forget whatever name they gave it, but it's not worth remembering; for it's good qualities anyway. I bite into it and it's this bland flavorless mix-match of Greekesque topping Penne pasta inside of it (what?) resting in a sauce that I think was trying to taste Mediterranean. I remember thinking of what the waitress said about it being fusion of this this and this, but how it tastes like none of those things. It tastes like it's trying to be something, but it ends up being nothing. Awful, among the worst Lasagna I've ever had. Not awful like they used rotten meat and it made me throw up. Awful like they have really inexperienced cooks who don't taste their own food apparently and you get this really bland mess of styles and no taste or flavor.

Our group of 16 had a good time and the service kept the libations and food flowing smoothly. Happy Hour seems like a good deal with $5 wines and half price food.  I thought the decor was decent and liked the quirky automatic door.

I'm not a fan of the decor, the cold blue/black euro theme seems out of place in this location. It feels like it should be in Belltown. BUT, the food was quite good and it was reasonably priced. And the service is warm and attentive.

Our server told us the menu is still being tweaked but will be a mediterranean fusion of sorts. I'll admit that fusion sometimes conjures up crazy overly complex mishmashes in my head, but we didn't experience anything nutty. The fusion aspect is more nuanced. If I was pressed to find a reference point, I'd say the menu is akin to a more sophisticated Vios with some nice twists...or maybe a little like Lola..but different.

We had the chicken wrapped in prosciutto with ricotta dumplings. It wasn't what I had expected, but it was lovely. The chicken was perfectly cooked and presented. I'm rarely a ricotta person, but the ricotta dumplings were delicate bursts of flavor that were nicely offset by the sweet and light fresh tomato sauce. We shared a delicious classic greek salad with nary a twist -- just what we wanted.

I'm definitely interested to see how this place evolves and hope the best for it, it's a tough location. We will definitely be back!

UPDATE: We went again on a snowy Saturday (Dec. 20) and were disappointed. Maybe their A team was snowed in? We ordered the very same dish (prosciutto wrapped chicken) and it was such a poor version of what we had eaten before. Just a plain boiled(?) chicken breast wrapped with prosciutto, an utterly bland tomato sauce, and the ricotta dumplings were minimal, and broken up. We brought our friends who had the various overly creamy and bland seafood and chicken fettucines.  I'd love for this place to work, but they need to get the folks who cooked the first night we were there to teach everyone else how to cook the dishes properly! Lowering the rating from four to three.
