Korner is not very good. Korner is not very bad. It sits there right in the middle. It's edible and satisfying, but I would prefer maybe ANY other place within a few blocks.

Oh wait, its the only pizza place around! Better than Rocky's 5 blocks away. Looks like we have to deal with it.

Why the hate? It's standard New York pizza. Accept this or GTFO.

The garlic knots are good - they are not simply greasy bread, they're actually cooked.

Wish the prices were lower, but what can you do about that?

Anyway, it's far better than the crap served at Tonino's.

Bring back Jo & Jo (their pizza was probably the best in this neighborhood)!

I just moved into the area, and am looking for some decent delivery pizza, unfortunately Korner is not it.

I generally break pizza down two ways:

1) Slamable, generic thin pizza without much taste that fills me up and never lets me down but isn't anything memorable

2) Real pizza with basil and fancy trimmings (think Gruppo, Di Fara or Grimaldis)

I assumed Korner would be a (1) style pizza, but it can't even do that right. Really Korner? Really? For shame...

And at $20 for a plain including delivery, almost makes me wish I was living in Park Slope again.

Woof!

This place is expensive when it is not warranted.  A regular slice I heard was raised to $2.75.  WTF?  Really?  I can get a slice in Manhattan for $1 and you're charging $2.75 for a part of Brooklyn that people have no excuse to go to?  That's awful.

Definetly overpriced, i've felt this way eversince i was 12 and paying for my own pizza, i always ran to joe and joe's, now that they are gone, korner rules the area, but ah ha there is a better pizzeria supposeably down on coney island ave- Rocky's. Overall this pizzeria is mediocre, i only go when i have friends come over and they want pizza, otherwise i rather order from dominos or pizza hut

Korner Pizza has not cornered the pizza business in Kensington but does provide good pizza at slightly above-average prices.

In the Kensington area, you're delivery dining options are still a bit limited, There's Chinese, Mexican, Italian/Mexican (it's not fusion food, the place just serves Italian and Mexican grub), Thai and some Bangladeshi joints. So yeah, you don't have a whole of options when the weather is crappo and you're hungry for food that won't have sittin' on the crapper all day.

Korner has good pizza by the pie. The sauce, cheese, and toppings are better than decent. However I did order mushrooms (mistake) and they were obviously from a can. Though I will say their pie with pepperoni and sausage is the BOMB! Their rice balls suck balls, though.

Delivery can take a while, so the best option is to order a pie for pick-up and then moving your lazyass to Korner to get it.

I don't believe they take creidt cards. CASH only.

The people have attitude there, but that's New York. It's not like it's horrific or stopped me from ordering from there. If you want family friendly dining experience--move out of New York and park your obese ass at Chuck E. Cheese or Pizza Hut.

Korner's food is pretty much on par with most regular NYC pizza joints that aren't specialty places like Arturo's Lombardi's, etc. Korner is definitely not on par with them...but it can hang most other neighborhood pizza places.

If Korner Pizzeria is going to charge $2.75 for a slice of pizza, a couple of things are going to have change.  First, the staff there needs a little attitude adjustment.  Here's a tip, don't stand around arguing and cursing while people want to order.  Second, don't blare your television in the dining area.  Not everyone is a Yankees fan or wants to hear the game.  Third, take a rag and some soap and wipe down the tables once in awhile. Its not a life long dream of mine to eat at table with spilled soda on it, okay?

The pizza is passable, but for what you have to go through to get it, you are better off taking a walk to Little Totono's.

I am mixed on Korner pizza. Now that it's the last pizza place left in a few-block radius, I am glad it's there. But I find their pizza to "meh" compared to Joe & Joe's of former days. I highly preferred Joe & Joe's, and they had a better selection - oh well. I can't bring them back.

The pizza is kind of flat, moderately tasty, not usually doughy enough, and definitely overpriced @ $2.75 for a plain slice. I know that you sometimes pay $3 in Manhattan, but that doesn't make it right.

The people that work there are friendly enough.

I recently ordered a chicken roll and it did NOT come with sauce. Who on earth wants to eat chicken and a pound of cheese wrapped in dough with NO sauce? I am definitely crossing that off my menu. Gross!

For a little bit longer of a walk, and $.75 less per slice you can walk to A&L pizza over on Caton (by Shenanigans) and their pizza is awesome.

Overpriced, average pizza. I stopped ordering from here completely because the service is brutal. Everyone from owner, to family, to non-related workers are rude and seem to hate being there and having to interact with you. I don't want greasy, servile people fawning all over me, but it wouldn't hurt to get the feeling that your business is appreciated.

In short, F this place. Tonino's is 4 blocks away and much better.

Why are people hatin' on Korner? I think the pizza here is great and a good traditional NY style pie. Attitude? I've seen the workers yell at each other but never at me. I think they're hysterical. Yummy meatball heroes, too.

I was not impressed with the pizza here. Reasons being:

- The pizza was too hot to where it separated from the dough.
- The sauce was bland and I didn't care for the default taste of marinara

I've heard the Phillies here are supposed to be as close to Philly as you can get. Maybe I'll try something there that isn't pizza. I think it's a myth that New York pizza is good. I have yet to be satisfied. To put things on a scale, the only time I've been quasi-satisfied was when I went to Uno's (quite embarrassing for a Chicagoan), but I am fed up for this sub-par pizza.

I have yet to go to Grimaldi's, but I won't set my hopes up that high. Oh, one more thing, New Yorkers must stop the folding of the pizza!!!This gives you less flavor per capita! You might as well order a freakin' calzone!

Good pizza. The people there don't have an attitude- they're just Italian. I've never heard them bicker loudly like the greek diner a block down. Kensington reviewers all seem a bit 'soft'. They get a decent amount of business. A slice is pricey, but I'm paying $3 in Manhattan, so it's not really that pricey.

I've only been ordering from Korner lately... until last night. I had gotten used to waiting 45 mins to 1 hour for a pie but last night was the last time I both getting a pizza from them. After waiting 2 hours for a cold pie in a soggy box I called and complained. They didn't apologize but eventually said they'd send a new pie out but wanted the cold one back. The doorbell finally rang over an hour later but I was already in bed.

I'll be getting my pies from Tonino's now.

The pizza here is pretty good.  The slices are fairly large, the tomato sauce is a bit runny, and there is an ample amout of mozzarella cheese.  However, I rarely order from Korner Pizza because of the attitude from the workers.  The family that works there are always arguing and they look like they don't want to be there.  It makes me uncomfortable therefore I don't want to be there.  So my boyfriend and I decide to order by phone, because I needed a pizza fix but their prices are ridiculous!  We wanted a mushroom pie and it cost $18.00.  That is a bit much for pizza, I mean they are no Grimaldi's.  My bf and I decide to go with Joe&Joe's for a decent pizza, less price, and better service.

Korner Pizza is a neighborhood restaurant that has the best slices in Brooklyn! I have been to many pizza places in the Kensington/ Park Slope area and none are better than Korner. Why? How about piping hot pizza with a delicious thin crust, sweet sauce, and a generous amount of cheese for $2 a slice! There is also a complete Italian entree selection to choose from as there are various pastas and sandwiches. The entrees are huge and enough for two. The Italian family that owns Korner have been doing this for generations as evident by the sightings of them behind the counter, always eager to offer a smile and a "hello" when they recognize you as a regular. Korner Pizza is always busy and there is plenty of seating( 12 tables that seat 4 per) and they have a restroom for customers( unheard of in many pizza joints that sell by the slice). I love the place!! If you want to try it out for yourself, take the F train to Church and go to the corner of 3rd and Church. It is on the right side of the street.
