Where is that darn 6th star?
That I LOVE LOVE LOVE Korey Howell is no news to my loyal network. I wrote a post on my personal blog over a year ago (no longer online) about how working with her helped me to fall in love with myself again after a bad few years.
Korey gets to the good stuff and draws it out. And when you sit down to look at the proofs you get a little misty. "Do I really look like THAT?"
I did multiple settings with Korey and bought a ton of things to use for business and personal projects. Her images of me have appeared online in many places, in newspapers, and on brochures. Check out my trusty Yelp profile photo for proof of the goods.
Korey, do you have an answer for me on that marriage proposal yet? -

Another great Austin business where 5 stars isn't enough. I have had a lot of pictures taken over the years, and my experience with Korey Howell was the best... and most efficient. I would term myself a "challenging subject to shoot" for a variety of reasons... but she nailed it on image #6. In the first 10 images she shot, not one was bad, I could have happily used any of them - even before the retouching; only an expert could take that many shots that are all great. It was fun and painless. The studio is nice and relaxing. She has another local merchant just three blocks away who can do hair/makeup at a reasonable price. She makes it super easy to get in, get comfortable and get a great shot. Even people like me who do not always like how they look in pictures will get a great "Wow!" headshot to take away with them that day. I will absolutely go back for more and am making an appointment for my husband to go to.
As an added bonus, you get to watch her retouch. She works Photoshop like a ninja, under 5 minutes and you'll be you... but better.
Oh how I wish she taught classes... I'd be first in line. -

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Korey is amazing at what she does. Her talent allows her to see what works best for her subjects: the kind of lighting, wardrobe, background, and even the smallest details like where your hair is placed. A Groupon led me to her studio near 183 and Anderson Mill for headshots. I'm not a "real" actor, but wanted a current headshot to highlight my 50-pound weight loss so I could apply for extra parts in local films. I just wanted a decent headshot, but walked out with a handful of excellent photos. Korey made me feel at ease, and even like I was a working model on a professional photo shoot. She was fun, sassy, and fast. Whenever the time comes to update my headshots or have any other kind of studio portraits done, she will be the first person I contact.

What can I say, Korey, once again, was amazing. Her new studio is fabulous and inviting, and great location. I needed headshots for my 16yr. old son (who thinks not smiling while having his picture taken is cool), for his acting portfolio. Korey had Sam exactly where he needed to be in terms of facial expressions for a wide age range. Mission accomplished, his agent loved the pics. We both had a hard time deciding which ones to use!

I wasn't surprised to find glowing reviews for Korey on Yelp. She is absolutely stellar to work with. Our company found her for our client's corporate group shots and headshots, and our whole experience with her was flawless. She was prompt in returning emails and phone calls, understanding of our desired end product, professional at the photo shoot and in all correspondence, and timely with getting the shots to us. I also love that she made the photo shoot comfortable and fun and gave good direction during the photo shoot. And after all of that, the photos turned out great!

Korey is THE best. I recently had the opportunity for a free headshot. So not worth it. Korey makes you feel comfortable and captures your personality. I leave it all up to Korey.

I had a photo shoot with Korey last year for my website. I'd seen a friend's photo on FB and thought she beautifully captured the essence of this friend.
I came away from my experience with two great professional photos. Korey understands lighting, uses humor to make the experience go by painlessly and uses her eyes/cameras skillfully. After I posted my photos on FB, I received a multitude of compliments. She's worth every penny and I'd go back to her in a half second. -

All I can say is that Korey is an incredible photographer. I've had two sessions with her, and both times I've walked away amazed that she can make me look so good!! :) She's also so much fun to be around and makes the shoot a really good time. Love her!

Korey just finished two half days of shooting a project for one of my company's clients. We had 25 business people who we needed bust shots taken in less than 8 hours. She did an awesome job. She made all of our business experts feel comfortable, helped them select the shot they liked best for use on a web-site, and really insured that everyone looked their best.
This is the second time my company has used Korey and we have been extremely satisfied both times. I would highly recommend her for families, couples, and corporate portraits.
It won't be the last time we use her...I am sure. -

Korey has taken my professional headshots for years! I use my portraits from this photographer for my business cards, social networking sites, online profiles, ads, media kit...anywhere and everywhere I need a picture!

I had heard from everyone that Korey was the very BEST and WOW, not only is she the best..she is a GENIUS!!!!! I hate having my picture taken and am not photogenic at all..Korey made the process soooooo amazingly simple, and it was truly FUN! She has the ability to capture YOU and bring you to life in her photos. My pictures were the BEST photos that I have ever had taken! We selected the ones that were the best, she "touched" up those and gave me a CD..so we were done in less than 45 minutes....Korey is incredible and I would highly recommend her to anyone! One of my good friends is driving down from Dallas to have Korey take her headshots. That says it all.

Even though it's a "business" photo, with her skill, talent, and vision Korey Howell has captured an image that surpasses any picture I've ever been in. It gets the essence of me and my message across. More than just being a headshot, she has taken the definitive photograph of me.

I can honestly say that the head shot that Korey did for me is THE BEST photo of me ever taken. I usually don't like my photos but I loooove the one Korey did. I have referred many people to her and everyone comes back and tells me how much they like their photos, and how much fun it was working with Korey. Can't say enough good things about this girl!

I first met Korey when she did an event for us at work, she took pictures of clients for us and printed them out on sight. I went to Korey to have my senior photos taken. She came over to my house so I was in a relaxed setting and she was great at telling me how to pose and what to do. She also took photos of my new puppy and me and they were absolutely amazing! She caught some candid pictures that I really loved. She did some minor touch ups and gave me all my photos on a disc so I could print however many and what sizes I wanted. She was really fast at getting the photos back to me, we got everything done in one day. Even though I don't live in Austin anymore if I ever need pictures taken again I will wait till I'm back in Austin to have her take them.

Amazing headshots! Thank you so much Korey. Not only were the photographs great and I do think I look 10 years younger and 10 pounds lighter by the way, but I had so much fun. I feel like I made a new friend.

Fantastic experience and results! I do not consider myself to be photogenic, yet Korey effortlessly managed to capture photos of me that capture my personality without looking staged. In less than an hour, I had three different professional head shots that all exceeded my expectations. I will use her again as well as recommend her to other professionals and friends. Korey really sets you at ease, so even if you hate getting your photo taken, you know you'll look great. I've had multiple headshots done by her and some fun photos with my husband. I take my teenage niece to Korey every summer and she has a blast.

I just got back from my photography session and I'm thrilled! Korey is professional and friendly (a rare trait these days) and her operation is the smoothest I've ever seen. She works with you to get a good set of shots going and then within seconds your looking at photos on her computer, working together to figure out what's working and what isn't. From there, the shoot becomes an easy back and forth rhythm of shoot & review. The whole experience was easy, fun, and best of all instantly gratifying... I walked away with prints in hand and high resolution copies sent directly to my email account. If you're in need of some top notch photos, shop no further than Korey Howell Photography.
