This place is actually pretty good, especially considering the reasonable prices. I ended up ordering the sauteed shrimp (I don't remember the Korean name of this dish), which included shrimp, a variety of bell peppers, jalapenos, green onions and regular onions. It was exceptionally good, and very spicy. Our table also got a bunch of Korean small side dishes that came with our food, including jap chae (yum!), daikon (yum!), kim chee, tofu and a bunch of other miscellaneous other things. My friend ordered the bulgogi, and a big bowl of seaweed, eggs, rice and chicken (which I also forgot the name of) Everything we ordered was really good, and the service was excellent. My only complaint about this place is that the decor is outdated and pretty ugly. They should really fix this place up because it definitely has potential. The food is good!!! In fact, Korean food is quickly becoming one of my new favorite foods.

I used to work very close to this place and had the pleasure of chowing down on their take out while slaving away late at night in my cubicle. I love their Jab Chae. The beef short rib and bibimbap is good as well. The tofu soup isn't that great compared to the ones found tofu houses so I don't recommned ordering it.
For lunch they have great bento box specials and it's a lot of food for less than $10 bucks....great deal! Also I LOVE the salad they give with it. They put TONS of this sweet/tangy dresses...so good I could drink it :) mmmm.
It's too bad I don't work around here anymore......I like this place way better than any of the Korean places I've been to on El Camino.
I came here for lunch.
It's a drab number in a busy strip mall with many other choices of eateries.
Beef Short RIbs - bbq'd to taste, but nothing spectacular
Soup was served along with a smattering of sides. Average.
I tried it, but have no overwhelming reason to return. The day I was
there, the crowd was steady and it's a seemingly popular joint. Perhaps my "round eye" review should be discounted accordingly.
I'm actually surprised at the number of middling reviews for this place. My brother introduced it to me awhile back, and I think it's actually one of the better Korean places in the Bay Area. Better than all the places on El Camino in Santa Clara like Korea House (which is solid, but still not as good), mostly because their meat is consistently high quality (at least, the three times I've been there). I've taken friends there who've been to other Korean places in the Bay and agree with me, so I can't be the only one, right?
...right?
Then again, I do hold a special spot in my heart for this place also because my friend was showing me how to open a beer bottle with chopsticks, and we accidentally popped the cap off into a dish of a couple sitting across the restaurant. They were not pleased.
We often go here for a quick lunch since it's right around the corner from work. It can get pretty busy so we usually head there before noon or closer to 1.
I've had the potsticker soup, tofu hot pot, bbq chicken, spicy pork..all which are pretty good. However, I usually order the combo of kalbi (beef shortribs) and jap chae (clear noodles w beef and veggies) which is my favorite. The fried shrimp appetizer is really great. Lunch comes with nice soup to start and the combo comes with salad and some side dishes.
The food here is pretty good and fairly consistent. I would give it 3-3.5 stars.

Its a decent lunch place. I like the Spicy Beef Stew Soup and the Kimchi Soup. My husband like the Bento Boxes. You can get pretty good lunch for under $10/person.
One time we went there for dinner for the BBQ, it went over $100 for 2 people so it can get quite expensive. Overall I would just come here for Lunch and when I don't feel like driving Far.
Maybe I keep going on bad days to this place, however I can't agree with the others that give this place 3+ stars. Maybe I'm too used to the Korean restaurants in the South Bay that are of higher quality.
The side dishes are normal and plentiful like most Korean restaurants. My biggest complaint is of the meat. Good places can mask if meat has been frozen or not, great places don't even use a freezer and just get it fresh. This place clearly freezes their meat. Their Bulgogi doesn't even looked grilled at times, more boiled than anything. It lacks flavor and can be fairly tough at times. The chicken is dry and tastes like it was flash frozen.
Granted maybe it's different if you go during dinner time. My opinion is strictly based on my lunch experiences there since it's close to work. If their dinner is remotely close to what they server at lunch, don't expect much........San Jose is just 10 more min away.
I've just recently started dining here and I LOVE IT! I never knew korean places existed in fremont. They've got a good variety on their menus and they've got a good mix of those little dishes. They were still serving the potatoes which were yummy. I wish they had those raw crabs...now those are HELLA YUMMY!
i've had their squid dish and octopus dish and the flavors were really good. They kinda skimped on their octopus though. Their bi bim bap is good and so is their kim chee ji gae (sp?). Waitresses are very attentive and they'll box up for you even though you tell them you can do it. I love having a nice korean dinner with a bottle of cold hite. HITS THE SPOT!
The good was pretty good! The service was decent and the portions were so big! It may not be the best Korean restaurant but it is pretty good. The Bugogi(sp?) was awesome. Decent prices too.
I'm so sad, this place used to be my favorite Korean joint, but since they changed ownership, they must have changed cooks too. Food is really mediocre now.
Kalbi is a lower quality. Haemul pajeun is now served on a pan and is always super oily and undercooked. The soondubu which used to be pretty good, is now pretty bland (and yes I order it spicy). And here is the kicker, they stopped serving my wife's favorite panchan, the carmelized potatoes!
NO FUCKIN STARS. I found plastic in my salad. WTF???
Korean Kitchen is probably the most decent Korean place that I know of around Fremont. I have had the BBQ beef, tofu soups, Kalbit'ang(Beef Rib Soup), and so on. All of them pretty tasty. I love their Korean BBQ very much. Their Kalbit'ang(Beef Rib Soup) is more on the oily side but it is still taste good.
As many Korean places, they also give you many many many delicious side dishes. Their service is good although I think they are a bit shy.
When I ate at the sushi place next door I noticed a huge mass of Koreans heading in. A good sign when you're looking for ethnic food right? Unfortunately for lunch a lot of the menu is limited and I think I had my first few choices nixed including the fact that you need 2 or more orders to use the charcoal grill. I'm sure I might have had a better experience if I had gotten to use the grill and everything I wanted. I however had to settle for the lunch special which felt some what "Bento Box" like. The grilled for me Kalbi was just ok and it seemed like the tea lacked some flavor. The salad and kimchee were also somewhat bland. I'm a bit dissapointed but in all fairness I've gotta get what I truly want before I can rate this place any higher.

Pretty goo place to eat.. i liked it .. its a refreshing change.. you can tell that it must be a good korean restaurant if 90% of the customers are korean.. anyways its a really small and quaint korean restaurant..
The meats were moist and taste..
They had a wide variety.
If you do go to this place.. note that it can be crowded and the help may lack a little.
BUT.. i give it one and half thumbs up. definite worth the visit and patronage!

This is one of only a few places w/in walking distance of my work.
The lunch specials aren't that bad. The bibimbap is decent (pretty hard to screw it up though), the mandu gook has good mandu (potstickers). on the other hand, the kimchi chiggae isn't spicey at all and has the least amount of meat i've ever had in a kimchi chiggae. The bulgogi is really greasy too.
Overall it isn't that bad for lunch. Nothing mind blowing, but it is affordable korean that does a decent job of filling your need for bunshik stuff.
And whoever thought the side dishes were good must have not had the kimchi, which seems to ALWAYS be sour. Blech. I like my kimchi fresh thanks. The other side dishes are better thankfully.
This place is really good. The side dishes are pretty good. Especially the potatoes. They are crispy! And you can use the grill if you want. The grill is by far the best feature of Korean BBQ. HAHA, get it? Okay, anyway, I've overeaten many times at this place. It is just that good.
The servers are very pleasant and are willing to help you at anytime. They enjoy cooking the food right in front of you.
I recommend this place to everyone.
