I have to agree that this is the place to go when you want to introduce someone to Korean food.  The selection is varied, the prices are good, and so is the food.  The staff is helpful and patient with novices.
I had an excellent pancake the other night.

The only down side is that Friday night they start shutting parts of the operation when things get slow, so about an hours before closing there is almost half the menu that is unavailable.  Thus the loss of one the stars.

I used to eat at Korea House pretty often when I worked nearby, my boss introduced me to Korean food and since he ordered sushi and I didn't know what to get, I just started out with a Bulgogi bento box.  Eventually I started branching out to other dishes, but what remains my absolute favorite is the Taegi (sp?) Bulgogi (spicy pork).  I've tried this dish in many restaurants in the Bay Area and in LA, but no one makes it the same way as Korea House.  When visiting Dallas it is one of my "must go" places, just so I can get my fix.

Decided to stop in after seeing this on Yelp and remembering how yummy galbi was from my time in Korea.  I took a friend from Michigan who never had Korean food before so it was a big adventure for her.  

Ordered the complete dinner for two, which unfortunately didn't allow us to fire up the grill(not clear from the menu).  The meal was WAY more food than we could eat, but all of it was great.   My friend really enjoyed everything except the traditional Kim Chee (which takes some getting used to anyway).  

The one weird thing was that various people served the dishes and when we'd ask questions they would run away and bring someone else.   I understand that they probably couldn't understand me, but happend 3 different times with 3 different people....a little weird.

I like this place and would go here again.

I have eaten at Korea House for many, many years now and it is one of my favorite  places for lunch, but not for dinner.  It seems as if they have a different cook at dinner which doesn't compare to their lunch time cooking.  They have the BEST hot and sour soups around.... it even has jalapeno peppers, which gives it a very unique taste.

Based on previous recommendation, I tried this restaurant tonight.

Very, very nice place with a great Bulgogi. You need two people to get the table side grill fired up. I was the only anglo in the place and found that I was not only welcomed but taken very good care of.

The sides were plentiful and the service attentive.

I would highly recommend you try it...

Good Korean food. I think if I were to introduce people to Korean food I'd bring them here first. They have a little bit of everything from the infamous galbi, to hot sizzling hot pot stews and even some sushi and other seafood.

I had the galbi tang last time I was here and boy it was delicious! Don't bother eating the rice separate from this beef rib soup. Right when you get the seasoning(salt and pepper) perfect for the soup, dump your rice right into it and it makes for a really filling meal. When you dump the rice into it, the consistency sort of turns from a soup to stew because of the starch from the rice. Mmmm. Service was ok for a Korean place. I just wish they were more attentive.

Haemool dolsot bibimpbap (seafood mixed rice in stone pot)..so good, I can still taste it. The restaurant is actually smaller than it looks--or at least I thought so...There were quite a few non-Koreans there for lunch, I guess they have bento box lunch specials and other dishes. I didn't think the price was that great though for being a "special".
The service was horrible, but the guy was all cute and smiley so I can't be too mad..haha

If this place was in Alabama or something.. I would give it 4 or 5 stars. However, competition is competition.

Don't even compare to LA or NYC, however it's "good".

Service has alot to be desired. (slow).

The food was good, however can be worked on.

I recommend to keep it simple, however would recommend it for non-koreans and those who are new to korean food.

Its a good beginner place!

I have NEVER been impressed with Korea House.  I come here every few years and am disappointed every single time.  There are much better Korean restaurants down the street.  Hell, Korea House doesn't even make my top 5 list for Korean restaurants in Dallas.  It's not only more expensive here than other places ($1-$2/dish), but the food isn't even great.   Don't get me wrong, it's ok food, but the flavors are just not right for a lot of dishes, like they're missing some key ingredient.

I'm Korean-American so obviously I love Korean food. And this place is ooh-la-la.
Authentic, delicious, and flavorful. Plenty of pahn-chan (side dishes), lots of entrees, and timely and nice service.
This is definately a place I recommend everyone to go at least once. Korean food is really great here. Again, I don't know the bloody location except it's in Royal Lane and a "strip mall" before the Komart place. It has a huge sign saying "Korea House".
Oh, and the interior decoration is quite pretty and spacious as well. Good for friends, family, and couples.
