Kokimo's is the steakhouse in the Mirage, named after the Beach Boy's hit.  The place is a winner.

Had dinner here before a show last week and left very impressed.  For starters the lobster bisque is a total must.  Served piping-hot with a crusty bread baked on top.  One of the best soups I have ever had in my life.  

I moved on to a Caesar salad that was good, but not particularly special.  

Dinner wise I had a 24 oz  bone-in ribeye, seasoned and cooked medium rare.  It was very good, and reminded me of a similar cut at Jordan's in Ellicott City, MD.  

Sides are ala carte.  For the table we shared mashed potatoes (buttery and delcious), mashed SWEET potatoes (very good with some kind of cayenne mixed in), and Asparagus (uninspired).  

My 3 course meal with a Saphire and Tonic as we sat down, and a beer with the steak came to $125 including tip.  

The only drawback I saw at all was a very small and not particularly creative wine list.  Otherwise a big hit.
