Solid Japanese steakhouse ... maybe not a good choice if there was incredible food in the area, but given the slew of chains the area, this is a great option.
Was impressed with the service and thought the Filet, Shrimp and Lobster combo was the way to go. Check it out if you're in the area and undecided.
Kobe is my favorite hibachi restaurant chain. No matter how many others I try, nothing compares to Kobe (and their amazing white sauce). The food is delicious and the atmosphere is really fun, especially for groups. They offer soup, salad, fried rice, veggies, AND noodles with their hibachi meals. You won't find that good of a deal at other similar restaurants (they usually offer only rice or noodles, or charge extra for fried rice). Be sure to try the fried cheesecake dessert!
I used to love going to Kobe for the great tasting, fresh food and the entertainment value. The chefs here are very talented, and keep your table entertained by interacting with costumers and the food. It is definitely a great place to go for a special occasion (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.).
The price may seem a little expensive for some, but judging from the massive amounts of food you get, it is definitely worth the hefty price. They have lots of souvenir-cupped drinks which are always tasty, and some different sake variations as well. Overall, I wouldn't go to Kobe on a regular basis, but it is quite ideal for special occasions.
This place is great to go out with a bunch of people from the office and have strong drinks with umbrellas while eating food that will make your waist line grow substantially. I would not recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet evening or outstanding food. Very mediocre, not authentic at all and VERY loud!!
Have gone to this Kobe's on several occasions and never been disappointed. During the evenings and weekends, there will be a long wait - expect it, unfortunately.
Once your party is seated, the drinks brought out and everyone has ordered - the quickness begins. Our chefs are prompt in beginning their shows and the food comes tasty, steaming and quite delicious.
Expect to pay a good amount but you will feel extremely filled up if you order the combination plates.
At Kobe you will get a filling meal and more than what you pay for. Yes it exceeds $10 but doesn't exceed $20. The amount you get is outstanding. Several courses designed to tantalize your senses. The chefs' showmanship and cooking capabilities make everything worth it. This is dinner AND a show. Yes this notion has been done many times. In fact, my favorite of these types of restaurants is one called Benihana. But, Kobe is pretty much up there. The environment is very Japanese. Little fish ponds, japanese plants, japanese art and pictures. It's a great place for a large group of people. If you are by yourself or just with 1 other person, there is a sit down bar area where you can just order sushi or something from a menu. So, it pretty much caters to all ages, quantities, and demographics.
My first experience with table top cooking was at this location. Our chef was very entertaining. My favorite joke is the "Chinese air conditioner" when he spins the spatula around....cracks me up every time. The food was tasty and the portions are large. I love the white dipping sauce they give you....yum yum. This is a great place for a first date.
Very good food and the entertainment was excellent but the wait can be pretty long so get there before the rush and u have to share a table with other people.
I absolutely adore this place! I always get the double order of filet mignon which comes with an extra serving of the steak. You start off with their mushroom soup in this wonderful, slightly salty broth that has scallions and fried onions. Then, you get a small bowl of salad, which comes with cucumbers, carrots, and lettuce, drizzled with a tangy ginger sauce. Your chef then comes and, hopefully, you'll get someone who is crazy, sings random songs, and does tricks (like the steaming onion volcano, a raw egg trick on the spatula, and flipping shrimp tails in his chef's hat). You get a stir-fry of vegetables that include zucchinis and onions; noodles; fried rice with egg; and your meat order. Some people choose to order chicken, or the half chicken and half shrimp, or the half steak and half shrimp deal, but why come to a steakhouse to have poultry? The beef is tender, juicy, and is succulent. Forget about all their other sauces; I always get ladles and ladles of the white sauce, and this is great on any food items you may have on your plate. I dump it on my noodles, my vegetables, my meat, and my fried rice. It is simply divine - creamy, luscious, and a bit salty. Wonderful, I'm telling you! If you come here for your birthday or anniversary, you may get some dollars knocked off of your total bill. You need to bring a license, or show your drivers license as proof, though. If you still want the chefs and the owner to come and give you their cake special by paying another $10, go for it. It is well worth it - you get the tall Kobe paper hat, a picture taken and a copy of it to be sent home, and this wonderful white ice cream cake that is simply delicious. It is not too sweet, but it is just a great finishing dessert after such a hearty meal. A dinner for two for this meal would set you back at about $120 with tip, but I think it's well worth it since I always leave satisfied and having a great time. Don't forget to make reservations, since this place does get packed! You don't need to dress up, but some people do for no reason. Service is pretty quick, and you're looking at about an hour for the whole shebang. YUM!
