Knowlwood's has some pretty good burgers. I used to eat at the fullerton location all the time because it was on my walk home from school. I don't know the last time I had a burger from good old knowlwood's but I have been missing out. It was pretty chill when I went. I got a bacon burger. The bacon was nice and crispy and the creamy mustard makes the burger taste so good. The only issue I had was I think the ketchup at my table was bad because it tasted off. I ate a good amount of it so hopefully I am not barfing up my burger later on tonight. Even if that did happen, I would still go back to enjoy a delicious hamburger.

Knowlwood likes itself a lot. The signs pointing to the toilets promise "Clean Restrooms." There are T-shirts for sale, implying that it's the kind of social institution that you'd be wise to align yourself with. And near the cash registers are lots of fliers that have the URL of the local newspaper's Web site, where you can vote Knowlwood the best burger in Orange County.
Best in Orange County? Why settle, the Knowlwood crew would ask. The sign outside proclaims it is home to the World's Best Burger. You see these audacious claims at most burger joints, and I'm a sucker for them. Because, you know, maybe.
But Knowlwood does not serve the best burger in the world. It's not really notable in any way. I got the 1/3 pound burger combo ($7, comes with medium-cut fries and a pop). It was dripping with grease, overwhelmed with lettuce and a not-very-fresh onion slice, and not hot enough to melt my cheese. It was, in fact, almost identical to the six-dollar burger I could have had at the Carl's, Jr. across the street for the same price.
The fries had a nice crisp, the arcade games were lousy and the restrooms at the Santa Ana location were genuinely clean. Not a bad meal. But I won't go back.

Just another burger place? Wrong! Try to make it to this place and get some really fresh burgers and leave with a smile. The decor is worth checking out. Look for the giant slice of cake you can get called "The Mile High Cake" it's simply amazing...
As the saying goes, Variety is the spice of life. That has always been my mantra when eating. However, at the end of the day, there is nothing that I enjoy more than a good burger. That is why the allure of the "World's Best Burgers" was too much for me to pass on. Unfortunately, Knowlwood was not able to backup it's bold claim.
I ordered the Frisco Burger. The Parmesan Sourdough was very dry and crispy. The produce wasn't bad, however I am not a huge fan when a burger place tries to stuff overly large slices of lettuce into my burger like Knowlwood did. The beef patty was alright, but nothing really write home about.
My party decided to try the Munch-A-Bunch as our side. Boy, that was sad. The zuchini was incredibly bland and the onion rings were not breaded very well.
Service wasn't bad and the food was prepared quickly.
Usually, I like to give a place more than one chance because sometimes places have a bad day. However, with the plethora of hamburger joints in the area, I see no real need to go back.
On my quest to feel like a glutton today, I've decided to go against my normal chicken breast, salad, brown rice entree for lunch. Mission: conquer a nice juicy burger. Destination: Knowlwood.
Wowzers! The burgers here are large and in charge. Opted for the 1/3 pound burger with bacon, grilled onions, and cheese and got exactly what I was looking for. By the looks of the menu, seems as if you can personalize any burger you would like. For about $8, you can get a large drink and fries with your meal. Well worth it.
They also serve turkey and veggie burgers here too. People in front of us ordered salads But if you plan to pour ranch and order extra bacon bitz with your salad, you might as well get a burger and probably save calories, right?
Word in the office is they serve something called Irish Nachos. Not sure of what it is but I heard it is absolutely delish. I wasn't adventurous enough to try it this day as I had meetings all afternoon. Couldn't afford to get poopy pants.
One star was knocked off since the service was slow. I mean does it really take 15 minutes to prepare burgers and fries.
By any means, I am no burger lover. I crave it once in a while but I can live without it. It's one of the juiciest burger in town, nowhere close to Kobe burgers but darn good if you are up to it.
