This station is permanently programmed into the memory of my truck's radio: 89.3 KNON. It's brilliant.

They have different programs on throughout the week of a unique and wide variety. My personal favorites are "Beyond Bows and Arrows" the Native American Music Show on every Sunday from 6 -8 pm, and "The Cajun Hour" on Mondays at 8 pm. They also have a great Blues shows, Reggie shows, and a fabulous Electronica show.

During pledge week, the DJ can get a bit annoying asking for donations, but hey, it's public radio with no commercials, so it balances out.

Next time you can't find anything decent to listen to on the radio, flip to 89.3 and see what they've got going on.

Love their freestyle format. Friday nights there is electronic music starting around midnight. Sometime in the afternoon they play Texas country or americana. Sunday nights they have a punk music show. They even play Indian music on Sundays-in the early afternoon.
