I remember coming as a youth before switching over to Walmart. One of the main reasons why is because it is closer to my house. I think going to K Mart is just as good as going to Walmart for it's own respective reasons. K Mart has their own brands and things going on. It's pretty much Walmart Jr. on a smaller scale. One of the best things is Little Caesars Pizza which is da bomb diggitty. They are what makes K Mart unique I would say. They have their own brands from clothing, food stuffs, toys, hardware, etc. Sometimes there are things you can find here that you cannot find at Walmart or Target depending at what you are looking at. The prices are decent. The staff and customer service is good. It's conveniently located in the heart of the whole Stadium mall complex right by Sack n Save aka Foodland.

Had to do a fast run for some pumpkins for the UYE Pumpkin Carving. I was glad that they had a huge stock of pumpkins and very decent looking and well maintained...
Pumpkins were only $4.99 which saved me a lot because I know that whole foods sell them but not for that cheap! I like that everything halloween is right in front of your face when you walk in the doors!
It took me 10 minutes to pick out three beautiful shaped pumpkins, but it took me 20-30 minutes waiting in line! I was so frustrated I was such a grouch! After waiting in line for the same cashier (20 minutes wasted by) I decide to move to the next one but it didn't change from there, still very slow customer service and just very bleh!
I only go here because its near my side and affordability!Listed in: The bad, the worst and…

This Kmart is right around the corner from my work. It's usually a quick trip to get everything I need if I do need it while I am at work. Smokes are cheap, they have cool souvenirs and of course, if you are hungry, Alessandra's lumpia outside and *Gasp* Little Caesars inside. I usually have to will myself to not go there an grab myself some crazy bread when I leave.
the main caveat of this location is the staffing though. I'm not sure how they have the staffing plan set up for this location. There have been many times I have been in the store and there are only 2 cashiers open, with 8 people in each line. Of course there are like 12-15 registers in the whole place, and you see lots of staff walking around. They really should reduce the amount of registers that they have if they are going to have "2" open, and maybe make that person who is at the Manager Kiosk" a floating cashier when things get busy? Or perhaps, make one of those people walking around ring people up for the rush?
Sorry, had to get the "old retail manager" out of my system.
I guess they must be struggling or something, today when I went, they had every other light off in the store, probably to save energy. -

I think walmart definitely trumps kmart in prices and diversity of brands. But, it's all good. it'll keep you busy and what not.

So my Hawaiian friend told me to definitely check out Kmart for cheap island print stuff, and I thought she was crazy. She was right. I came away with a dress and blanket in a very cute, non-touristy island print. woohoo
