Klatch is a cool little coffee joint that would be at home in a hip neighborhood, but for some reason, is on ugly Maiden Lane in the financial disctrict. The coffee is great, much better than Starbucks.
Come on, folks, sing along with me!!!
***Skyyyyrockets in flight. Afternoon DELIGHT!***
Stellar coffee, incredible snacks, relaxed vibe. Klatch is my destination of choice for stress relief and/or that 4pm sweet craving.
The prices are on par with FiDi, but it delivers so much more than a coffee fix. Wander in, check out the mix-and-match decor and take a deep breath. You'll leave just a little bit calmer than when you entered. And that's pretty cool for a place whose main export is caffeine.
Final tip - try the coffee cookie dipped in chocolate. You won't regret it.

This place is great! Half a block from my work, it's a great escape for me to sit and read or do the crossword while eating their (very limited selection) of delicious food. The place is very small. They have a little bookshelf where you can read books or donate used ones. There is rotating local artwork on the walls and cute old wooden chairs and tables. The coffee is very good. It's no Ninth Street Espresso or anything like that, but it's better than most, and the atmosphere and digestibles compensate.
I go for lunch often. It is a very small selection of food, but if you're in the mood for soup and/or quiche, this place is a good bet. They have 2 daily quiche which rotate, and are always delicious. Likewise with the rotating selection of 2 or 3 soups. Turkey lentil, chunky vegetable, wild mushroom, potato leek, so on and so forth. I've never had a soup there that wasn't great. And the desserts at the counter always tempt me because they look so freaking delicious. I've had a chocolate cupcake, a chocolate chip cookie, and a pistachio biscotti - all great.
They also offer hotdogs for some reason. Never quite understood that one.

Stopped in here on my way to a meeting at the Pace Univ. conference center on Williams St. The staff was extremely nice. The coffee was good. I also had a yogurt/granola thing that was delicious as well as this big, organic cookie thing with pumpkin, nuts, oats. It was SO yummy. Ditto on all the other reviews about it being a nice retreat for this area.

Super close to work, adorable, and it's GOOD. I haven't tried their pastries yet but I have enjoyed a wonderful green tea latte. I love a privately owned coffee shop in the middle of FiDi chaos.
Very cozy, awesome, and I'll be paying more visits to them in my next months here in NY.
You would never expect to find such a cute coffee shop in the middle of the financial district. It's a cozy space with mismatched chairs which add to the charm of the place. The coffee is ten times better than the watered down stuff you find at Starbucks and a hundred times better than Dunkin Donuts.

Klatch is a nice little place with good coffee that looks like it belongs in Berkeley, Madison, or some other college town. Being in the Financial District, it really catches your attention. And since it's in Manhattan there aren't a heck of a lot of seats, but the coffee shop sweets here are above average.

Klatch has a totally refreshing atmosphere, for this neighborhood. If it were in Brooklyn or, better yet, a college town somewhere, Klatch would not stand out. But in the Financial District, it is a welcome change from the large corporate delis and polished chains that are the norm for the area. The interior is small, with 4 or 5 mis-matched rustic tables and chairs and an upstate barn sale aesthetic. Klatch has a large selection of pastries, including non-fat, low-fat, vegan, and wheat-free options. While I can only speak for the full-fat, egg/dairy, all-wheat varieties, what I have tried there has been excellent. The coffee is some of the best you will find in this area, and Klatch also has a large selection of teas and other beverages.
Although I have never lunched at Klatch, they do actually have a 3-item lunch menu. Klatch has a daily quiche ($4.75), a daily soup (large: $4.75), and organic hot dogs with a variety of toppings available (starting at $2.50, I believe). Klatch also apparently has a liquor license, so beer and wine are also on offer.

There's something out of place about having an independent coffee shop with friendly staff, homeade treats, artwork for sale and a klitchy feel in the middle of the Financial District. Klatch feels like it should be in Berkeley or Fort Greene or well, somewhere anywhere other from where it is, which probably explains its un-Starbucks like charm. For this reason, it's actually quite popular in the neighborhood, so expect at least five people in front of you in the quickly moving line.
The coffee is high-quality and strong, but a little on the expensive side. In quieter hours, it's a pretty good place to sit, with room for about 10 people or so.
They only accept cash here, but set up the prices so that with tax included the prices are round.

In one of my alternate realities I live in a small city with lots of fluffy puppies and own a tiny little quirky coffee shop where people come from all walks of life to hang and bond over delicious coffee and gigantic homemade cookies.
My coffee shop would be just like Klatch (except maybe a wee more space for tables for games! Yes, board games!)
Klatch is such a great little place and so wonderfully not like the financial district. I love the mismatched chairs and benches, the local featured artwork, wine and cheese on Friday nights and most importantly their coffee. The coffee is nice and strong without being bitter. The desserts are homey and fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable (cheaper than charbucks, more than the corner coffee truck), and I have found the service staff to be incredibly sweet and friendly despite the frequent crowds.
They also have a buy nine get one free card which rocks. I have yet to sample the hotdogs and quiche, but I did get in there one day for the mexican chicken soup and it was really yummy.

This place makes working down in the financial district a whole lot better. Love the coffee and the treats and the staff is super friendly. The whole place seems out of place, but I appreciate a little bit of an escape from the tourist/sausage factory that is Wall Street.
Whenever I get the chance (which is not very often), I get coffee at Klatch. They have wonderful hot and iced coffees and tasty selection of treats with which to dunk. It's a tiny hole in the wall, but the country kitch of mismatched wood tables and chairs fits the vibe of the place. This place is a breath of fresh air in the midst of burnt Starbucks brew and bland Au Bon Pain cafe.

Klatch is right downstairs and I'm so very happy they are. Not only is it a cute San Francisco-esq cafe that is so needed in NYC but the owner is this really sweet mom of 2 who spent some time in theater here in Manhattan. Along with the tasty coffee and awesome tea selection, Klatch also offers a unique spin on hot dogs, veggie or meat, some really mouth watering soup selections as well and a wide array of delectable pastries. If your not as near by as I am its definitely worth the trip.

In a sea of suits and assertively loud high heels, this place is calming to the nerves of an unsuited, flat soled coffee drinker. Thank you to my fellow yelpers for finding this place, because I was worried. It has charm and a sense of calm not common among the Wall Street crowd. The furniture appears to be mostly cool flea market finds and pleasant art graces the walls. The staff is friendly and quick (not that I was in a hurry) and the coffee is good. I'm thinking about coming here for lunch too, because not much else in this neighborhood is very approachable or inviting. I feel pretty at home in here. I am sure, if I had time, I could sit here for a good long while and still be pleased.

In a neighborhood fun of tasseled shoes and red ties on Wall Street-it is AWESOME to find a cozy little oasis without a suit in sight! Klatch is not somewhere you go to get a morning coffee and bust out the door. It is a place you go to get a chai with soy milk and sit and read the paper or a Murakami book.
They are not cheap at $2 a cookie but I highly recommend the oatmeal coconut cookies. They might be the reasons I make it through my work days.

I work near here and like this place for it's Park-Slopey feel.
You can grab lunch at Alpha Noos, get your unwanted facial hair threaded off and then stop for coffee at Klatch. You can get really good soup here, too. And hotdogs. And great apple sauce coffee cake and cream filled cupcakes.
WARNING!! Not particularly helpful staff! They try but the place is so small and busy that it's tough to keep up with all the humanity flowing through.
HIGHPOINT: sit in the one of the two chairs out front with your iced latte (pricey!) and people watch to your hearts content.
Right next door to my apartment so i'm not complaining. The coffee is strong and hot. I like this place because it is owned by a family. Gentlemen Ian and Evan will take care of you. I don't try the baked goods much but the energy cookie is a best seller. I like the get your card stamped and 10th free option. This place is cute and quality.

omg what a REFRESHING little spot in the financial district!! I love it here. it is so cute and has a rustic feel to it. the coffee is very yummy... and their chocolate chip brownies - awesome! I think the chocolate chips are made with a little bit of espresso (or maybe it's espresso that's in the brownie) which gives it a nice kick. have yet to try any of the soups, but I will definitely be back. 5 stars for something different in a bland and monotonous area, nice and friendly staff, and good coffee and snacks.

Klatch is a tiny, pretty FiDi coffee shop that is almost too country cute to exist where it does. This place loses a star because the coffee is good enough to pass muster--i.e. strong enough to keep a caffeine withdrawal headache at bay--but it's not particularly delicious either. (I'm kind of a snob about coffee, but what I brew at home is so much better than almost anything I get when I'm out). On the plus side, the woman working behind the counter asked me if I wanted my coffee in a real mug, which is nice, or would be if I ever felt remotely confident that I wouldn't get bored/fidgety within minutes of sitting down and want/need to leave right away. (I don't mean just this place but anywhere). The baked goods have an endearingly amateurish homemade thing going on and, look, this is Manhattan, so it wouldn't be fair of me to complain about the prices because even though two dollars for a tiny (I mean itty bitty teeny tiny) cupcake is ridiculous, it's not like it's Klatch's fault that it's located on some island where the streets are paved with gold.
Bottom line is it's pretty cool that in a part of town where corporate cookie cutter mediocrity is the norm (Klatch is on a block with a Subway and a Papa John's and a few blocks away from two Starbucks franchises that literally face each other across Broadway) there's also this quirky coffee shop with mismatching tables that don't make obvious design sense but somehow totally work and weird benches with random cushions on them sometimes.
