After discovering Anusara about a year ago in another state, I moved to San Francisco looking for the right Anusara teacher. I found KK Ledford at Yoga Tree Hayes, and I have been studying with her ever since. She is the Best!!!

KK has a gift for clearly articulating the proper alignment of a pose (both physically and energetically). Her energy is playful, inspiring and UNIQUE. She is EXTREMELY knowledgeable not only about anusara yoga but a great many things such as meditation, tantra, astrology, women's spirituality, and Ayurveyda. I often turn to her for advice, and she is extremely caring and interested in the growth and practice of her students.

I have been a regular with her for about a year now, and I love the sense of community and genuine love between everyone in the group. I ADORE miss KK and would recommend her to anyone seeking to find a meaningful yoga practice!

After doing many years of yoga in random classes, a friend invited me to come to a class with her teacher. She raved about this woman who was able to get to know each of her students; able to know their individual strengths and weaknesses, previous injuries, fears, and is adept enough to use this information to encourage students to push past previous boundaries and self-imposed limitations. A teacher who leads her students in an adult spirituality life course based on astrology, paganism, and tantric philosophy to the tune of Anusara yoga. This woman is KK Ledford and she is now my teacher too.

I had never done Anusara before coming to KK's class. I never knew that the reason my back and shoulders hurt was due to my yoga practice being out of alignment. Since coming to her class I have learned how to practice safely, am able to do poses I never thought possible, and feel a genuine sense of community.

KK and Anusara yoga have sincerely changed and improved my life. I am so grateful that I decided to attend her class at my friend's urging.

KK Ledford's Anusara yoga classes will rock your world.

I've been going to KK's classes at Yoga Tree- Hayes Valley  for almost two years and I am hooked. Her passion and knowledge for Anusara yoga and the tantric philosophy behind the practice is contagious!

For years, I floated from class to class/studio to studio looking for a regular practice and teacher. 2 years ago, I popped in to KK's class and from then on I've been hooked. Everything about her classes are awesome--KK's teaching style, her deep knowledge of alignment principles, the other students in her class, and even the music she plays!  It is great to have a teacher totally invested in supporting my yoga practice.

If you are new student looking to try yoga or an experienced student looking to take your practice to a new level, KK is a *great* teacher. (Not to mention I work regular business hours and so her 7am class is very convenient! )

I went to KK"s class as a total newbie and I loved it and thought she was awesome!

I have to start by saying that before I went to KK's class I had previously only went to one yoga class in my life.  One morning I decided to stop in at Yoga Tree- Hayes Valley for a yoga class.  It turns out that the instructor was a woman named KK Ledford.  KK's got this smile that creates this aura around her that brightens things up (trust me, you'll know what I'm talking about when you meet her).  Before the class started I told her that this was only my second yoga class ever.  She welcomed me with a smile.  As the class started I was super intimidated because I realized that I was the only newbie and everyone else was warming up by doing poses that I didn't even think were humanly possible.    KK started the class and went through the class in a very calm, comforting manner.  I have to say that the class was a little out of my league and I have no doubt that KK noticed it, but she was amazing.  During the class she would come by and gently help me position my leg or my arm whenever I was out of my place.  Plus, what makes her extra cool is that on the rare times I actually got a pose right she would acknowledge it as I walked by.  Hey, when you're intimated by everyone else in the room a little affirmation goes a long way.  I made it through the class and it was great.  After the class I went up and thanked her, and I also asked her some questions about my form and the way I should position my hand in certain poses.  KK was super thoughtful and explained to me what to do and (more importantly to me) why the positioning was important.

Overall, I thought KK was awesome and I can't wait to get back to another one of her classes.
