We found this place by chance, and frankly I am so glad we found it.
We took my two chihuahua's with us on this trip, and didn't want to leave them alone so we looked for dog friendly beaches. South Lake Tahoe lacks these, and the only two were Kiva and a beach in Zefer(if that's how it's spelt lol) Cove. We opted for Kiva, because we didn't have to pay to pack.
When we found the beach, we were very much impressed. We actually parked over by the park area and took a few walks around the area. If you get the chance to walk by Kiva beach? Do it. There are so many beautiful tails to go on.
When we went down to the beach, our dogs had an amazing time. They had the ability to run around, play and bark at the water. The people at the beach were great too, most of the time when I go to dog beaches, you'll get people who will let their giant dogs try to kill my little ones, or not pick up after themselves. This was completely different, and the beach was clean and fun!
Great little beach.
It allows dogs (which from our experience is not common of beaches in S. Lake Tahoe)!
We returned again and this time DD was able to enjoy playing in the sand and water. Panoramic views of Mt. Tallac and beautiful trees make it a great place to hang out. Parking is free, unlike Pope. However there are no restrooms. This is the perfect beach for little ones because there are shallow areas of water (maybe 1 ft deep at most). We'll be back again this summer!

Great beach right by Camp Richardson. Free parking and crazy views here. The beach also allows dogs on part of it as well. Although the beach that dogs are not allowed looks way nicer.
