Review from Adrienne J.
Carlsbad, CA
Although the staff was a bit surly, we kind of appreciated the frankness of the operation. It is not fancy, it is simple and we loved it. It was $50 for nearly 5 hours of entertainment, which we felt was a good deal. We'll be back.

These guys are crooks. We booked a rafting trip with them and they tried to send us out on a river with thunder and lightning out. When we asked for a refund because of the unsafe conditions, they rushed us out of the area and told us they would call us the day after so we could work out the refund. Two days later, I call (they didnt!) and ask to speak to the manager would only give us a credit. She was ultra rude and not accommodating. There are tons of better canoe places in the area. They lost 25 regular customers and have no clue on customer service. Horrible!

Review from Yui K.
San Francisco, CA
Been camping here since I was a wee little one. Has its own country store available for last minute bug spray, marshmallows, and sandwiches(???). Has a pool (but it's small and honestly, the river is probably cleaner than it), a dinky little arcade, volleyball net, and a dinky basketball hoop. Certain sites are right next to the Delaware river and they offer rafting/tubing/canoeing down it. Also offers paintball. Multiple bath houses available and they're decently clean for a camping place. Sometimes the water smells like eggs. It's from the sulfur...... i think.
The sites get pretty crowded because the grounds are popular. You can buy firewood by the bundle from the store and make a fire in the metal ring. Awesome night sky. and I highly recommend going rafting (even though it's pricey). The rapids are never quite "white water"-esque, no crazy life threatening moments, but it's ALWAYS a good time. Bring a cooler packed with drinks and sandwiches and spend a few hours floating down the river, watch dragonflies mate, lay out in the sun, jump off and take a dip in the river, but don't get stuck in the eel traps! It's all about the teamwork. -

Stayed here at the end of March on our way back from Florida headed to Vt. This place had just opened the first part of the campground for the season so I am not sure what it may be like in the summer, but for now the bathrooms are kinda gross(we needed to use them as our camper was winterized). Could not get any decent water to put in the dogs dish, si she got spring water....cable and internet work properly.
I would say this is a "any port in a storm rv campground" I would come back as the location just off rt 84 is good and there are very few campgrounds along this highway. Happy Trails!!! -

Bloomingdale, NJ
Very large campground with different sections. Small river runs right thru the campground, lots of cool sites right on the river. delaware river is nearby for fishing/boating/canoeing. paintball next door. fairly expensive place, and they did not allow anyone to have or use saws hatchets or axes which was very strange for a campground. they came around to pick up garbage nightly which was nice.

This is the place for you if you don't like the idea of camping because there are stores and restaurants in the area. Like Yui K. mentioned, there is a store located at the entrance of the campground where you can purchase anything from sandwiches to folding chairs (this store was a plus for us since we completely forgot the Hershey's chocolate bars for the smores!). The sites for other campers are not far from you so you don't feel completely alone and the bathrooms were disgusting but that was a given. Since we did not succeed in cooking our hamburgers and hot dogs (portable grill malfunction) we definitely took advantage of the nearby restaurants! And to fill our time during the day, we went river rafting and canoeing. Unfortunately, the staff at the end of our rafting/canoe trip were the most unpleasant people we came across the whole weekend. Other than that, a good time was had by all.

this place rules.
the campsites are nice and well-priced, albeit close to one another. but the campers tend to be pretty relaxed and easygoing so the proximity to your neighbors really isn't much of an issue.
it's a beautiful area. there's a creek running through the campgrounds, and pretty hills with beautiful trees & moss. there's just enough wildlife to enjoy it without it seeming to be a pest situation.
however, this place is nearly ruined by awful awful customer service. check-in is a complete nightmare, and the kids running the place seem to be angry with everyone for just wanting to check in. eventually they'll get their shit together and give you the wristbands and have you sign the papers, but they sure make it waaaaay worse of an experience than it needs to be!
also, the bus that picked us up at the end of the rafting was the WORST! that guy hates his job and hates everyone who rides his bus. the "tips are appreciated" sign is highly amusing, since he seems to be on a mission to ensure that tips are out of the question.
the service here is the only thing that may keep me from coming back.Listed in: what's up with the attitude?

I am a big fan of this campsite and rafting "adventure" place except for their staff. I haven't done any of their other activities but have always had a great time camping and rafting. I just got back from my third time camping and rafting at this location. The campsites are nice and clean even though they are all a little close together. The rafting is the real treat. It's not white water but I would say its more lazy river style. I really enjoy leaving the raft for a nice swim in the Delaware. The biggest problem with this place is the staff at both the store where you sign in for camping and at the rafting place. The store where you sign in is always crazy and they have teenagers who seem to have no idea what they are doing. They seem to get very frustrated and mad at you for their own incompetency. Luckily, the system is pretty fool proof so you eventually get signed in. Also, the people at the rafting sites are extremely unpleasant and unhelpful. On this last trip we waited around for a bus to drive us back to our car for an hour. And when the driver showed up he was not in a very good mood to say the least. I am pretty sure this place has never heard of treating the customer right but luckily they have a good product that keeps me coming back.
