If you're looking for something different from your usual cupcake, then i'd definitely come here!
The people working here were super friendly (they had the southern hospitality vibe going on), and it was basically empty when we went in there on a Saturday afternoon so they gave us a sample of the Maple Bacon bundt cake when we wondered aloud what it tasted like.
I got the mini bundt cake in Lemon Drop flavor, and I ate about half of it before I took the rest home in a little box they packaged up for me. It was okay tasting, not too spectacular. My roommate got the German Chocolate and that was pretty good - deep dark chocolate flavor with a coconut walnut frosting on top, yummm! I bought a red-velvet bundt cake for my friend that I tried later and it was good, in my opinion, better than a lot of places red velvet cupcakes. And especially the kind that I would try making from a box. They apparently use all natural ingredients and no preservatives, which is great.
For $2.50 I consider it a good deal because although the mini bundt cakes look small, they're really filling and so it's cheaper than a cupcake. I don't think I could finish a baby bundt cake by myself, so maybe if you want to share with a person you could get one of those. Oh and flavors change everyday so check their Twitter for what they have that day!
You can street park or apparently they validate the lot behind their store, so accessibility is not a problem. And it's right down the street from Joan's on Third, Toast, Little Next Door and Beverly Center so stop by! Interior's cute too - hot pink couch, what up.
Chrysta is a sweet heart and is definitely a reason why you should come here. She is the epitome of great customer service and love. The bf and I went to El Carmen's for happy hour and were walking back to the car when I saw this place. Knowing me and my love for dessert, he made sure that we stopped by.
From our very first step in and last step out the door, Chrysta made sure we were happy customers. She went out of her way to give us samples of ALL of her little bundt cakes and let me tell you, these samples are literally 1/4 of the real thing. So in reality we were really full but it was sooo good that we bought two before leaving - Red Velvet and Carrot Cake. Her cakes are moist without feeling too heavy and you can really see the love she puts into her dessert. Chrysta also holds baking classes occasionally so check out her website!

Bundt cake was whatevers to me but this place is awesome. :))
the owner got her masters at USC, for one thing. hehe.
but she's also very generous with samples and when we ordered the mini bundts she gave us extra cuz supposedly it came out smaller than usual or something. either way.. it was really really good.
I got the pumpkin spice cake with creem cheese frosting and my friends ordered the banana something and the lemon cake one.
OMG. they were seriously sooo delicious with a cup of milk. YUM. YUM. YUM . YUM. yummmmmmmm. hehehe.
it is a little expensive but it was definitely worth it. gah!
the mini bundts (the smallest size) was $2.50 and the baby bundt is $4.50 or $4.00. The mini is enough. well for me it was, but then again, i went right after i had a three course lunch. HEHEHE. :))
either way. IT WAS SO GOOD. DEFINITELY TRY IT!
What a lovely little place. I ordered 8 red velvet and chocolate bundt cakes for a friends bday and it was delicious. For an additional buck you can add a cute little bow to your cake box (they have a bunch of ribbons so you can choose the color). The cream cheese and chocolate whipped icing was fresh so its not like the cake and topping have been sitting there for hours. Red velvet is definitely my favorite!
They also serve coffee and teas so if you work around the area and need a quick pick-me-up and cater your sweet tooth at the same time, definitely go to this bakery!

Holy crap this place is awesome! My first time here was a few weeks ago, and I haven't been back since, but I think about the bundt cakes here allllllllll the time!
If you want samples, don't be afraid to ask - they will give you unlimited samples! I got to try about 3-4 at one time. I even sampled their maple bacon cake, which was... interesting, to say the least.
Unlike many reviewers before me, I did not get Christa. Someone else helped me out - she was nice, but her service did not particularly impress me. She didn't welcome me into the store, and she wasn't particularly proactive when I was pondering the different cakes.
But to hell with that. I will kiss many a nasty server's bundt (get it? hah I'm lame) in order to get some of those amazing cakes!
I heard of KMB at a Yelp Elite party but never got to try one because they came late and my non-existent sweet tooth didn't want to stay for it.
For Jason's birthday, a half-sheet ice cream cake delivered to his office wasn't enough. What about at dinner with my friends? He needs a new cake to blow candles on! So the hunt began.
I'm on the computer all the time and never on the phone, so I exchanged emails with Chrysta over the week. Because correspondence wasn't at responsive as I had hoped (she has a blackberry), I had a back up place just in case. But, on the morning of, I got the final confirmation email that I needed from Chrysta, so I called her to give her my cc info.
When I arrived later to pick up the three bundt cakes, I learned that they were freshly baked and needed 5 more minutes for the cake writing that I wanted. She asked if I wanted a sample - of course! I tried the mini bundt, Lemon Drop flavor. Mmmm lemony!
At the restaurant, the table ooh'd and aah'd in delight at these delicious looking red velvet bundt cakes with the happy birthday message. It fed a party of 8 and the kitchen staff at the birthday dinner location.
These are definitely fun for gifts and special occasions. The mini bundt cakes are a perfect size for a snack. The baby bundt cakes at 4-inch diameters are a perfect size for a small party that wants a taste and not have leftovers.
Parking at Kiss My Bundt can be found along 3rd. It's a bit trickier on Crescent Heights. I think you can do curbside pick-up, but ask the store for more details.
Thanks, Yelp, for helping me find this place, even though I'm sometimes suspicious of yelp sponsors ;)

I received a message from Chrysta who told me that the vegan cakes use organic sugar, flour and soymilk making them approximately 75% organic. That's awesome.
Also, I think it is absolutely fabulous that she is working so hard at perfecting her business and truly taking into consideration the reviews that she is receiving.

I'm not ashamed to admit I have a collection of bundt pans - small, large, vintage, new, plain, decorative, mini, you name it - that's just about bordering on the obscene (everyone needs a holly wreath bundt for xmas, no?), so to say something about bundt cakes gets me much more excited than cupcakes, would be a bit of an understatement.
Imagine discovering bundt heaven exists, walking distance, just up the street, with a great sassy name, in the old Russian restaurant space on 3rd, run by an equally sassy and fabulous fellow Trojan. Bundt heaven!
Chrysta bakes cakes in all shapes, sizes, and flavors, but I'm a fan of the little minis with the tangy cream cheese frosting. She also does some really fun classes on-site if you're into the DIY or just lookin' for something different to do with the girls. The fact that they make a mean red velvet and carrot cake, too... just icing.
The only reason I'm not here more often is because I usually make my own, but for those who aren't so what what in the bundt inclined this is a must-stop shop.

These cakes are so delicious! However, I think the thing that really sets Kiss My Bundt apart from other bakeries is the exceptional customer service. I was really impressed with how far above and beyond they went to make my husband's birthday special.
I called to order a selection of baby bundt cakes for a birthday celebration. The owner informed me that they were going to be closed on the day I needed to pick up the cakes because they were conducting a cooking class. However, she offered to come over to the bakery and open it especially for me so that I could pick up my order. How nice is that? I was kind of startled, actually. Most places would just say, "We're closed" and that would be the end of it.
When I arrived to pick up my cakes, the owner was so friendly and welcoming. She opened up the cases to show me the bundts and describe each flavor. She chatted with me about their baking process and the development of their recipes. The kicker is that when I mentioned that my son cannot eat eggs, she threw in some vegan mini bundt cakes for him, on the house! I just cannot get over how nice she was and it really made my day.
We loved the cakes. Loved them. Our favorites were the red velvet and cookies and cream, with runner up status going to the carrot cake. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the product. We will definitely be coming back to order more bundts and want to say a big thank you to Kiss My Bundt for their thoughtfulness.

I took Chrysta's baking class last night and it was fantastic. I love how Chrysta tells her story-- where she came from and how she came to be a baker of bundts!
i think this is a great class for folks who don't have much experience baking cakes because Chrysta goes through the science of baking in a way that's easy to understand and remember. plus, you get to eat a ton of cake while you're there!! yeah there's lots of cake.
Chrysta is very generous with her time, expertise and recipes. She really seems to be serious about giving back to the community in whatever way she can. highly recommended!

It's taken me months to write this review but I'm finally getting around to it! Decided to get a bundt ("Oooh, it's a cake!") from here to take to Easter festivities (I know, I know, I told you it's been awhile). I went with a classic--carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. They did not disappoint. The cake was moist and light, totally delicious and the frosting was the perfect compliment to the cake and managed not to overpower anything, all in all the perfect balance. I thought about taking credit for the bundt briefly but then figured, maybe I should give KMB the positive PR.
I called the day before I needed the cake and it was ready no problem the next day. Friendly, helpful service. Their bundts are a little expensive for me and I wouldn't blow my money on their little bundts, but for a special occasion that requires some investment, this seems like a delightful solution to me.
I called on Tuesday to ask what types of Vegan cakes they have. I had heard from several vegans that they carry vegan cakes. I was told that they carry 1 vegan cake - red velvet - and it is ONLY available on Fridays and Saturdays.
So fine. I called on Friday and asked (just to be sure) if they had the vegan red velvet cake. The girl who answered the phone said, "hold on while I ask". Huh? Do you have it or not? Isn't it right there?
She came back on the line and said, "yes we have it". Great! I jumped in my car and drove over. When I got there I ordered two mini red velvet vegan cakes. The girl went in the back, came back and asked if I wanted vegan frosting as well. Huh? What do you think?? So she went in the back again and then came back and said that they were out of vegan frosting but that I could wait 5 minutes for her to make some. She went in the back again and then came back and said they were all out of the ingredients needed to make the vegan frosting.
"Can you come back later?"
WTF? Are you kidding me? NO!
I'll have to try again another time.

I went to Kiss My Bundt as a surprise bday present today. If I knew where we were going I would've brought an apron. We went to take the 5:30 class to make mini bundts! We had a group of ten people. Chrysta introduced herself and right away knew that she was knowledgeable and passionate about her craft. She really explained the science of baking and it actually overwhelmed me more. She was really well spoken and I think she would make a great candidate for A Throwdown with Bobby Flay! We put together a lime bundt cake with raspberry butter cream frosting. I love the customization and we got to bring some home with us. She also served us iced tea or coffee while we were waiting for the class to begin. The bundt cakes were so filling. I felt my stomach was about to burst after our class and after we ate dinner. I advise you NOT to do that. Either taste your cake and then have a decent meal or inhale the cake and eat LIGHT. Just a suggestion to take to heart. I can't wait until she introduces some more interesting flavors such as maccha. She says it'll be soon!

I went to Kiss My Bundt for a USC event and wasn't sure what I was going to expect because I hardly eat bundt cake. However, I was very surprised at the cakes because they were delicious. I've tried many cupcakes and their mini bundt cakes were on par if not better than many of the cupcake places including Sprinkles.
For a slightly more creative twist to cupcakes, check this place out.

I've been told again and again that I'm too much like a dude. I wonder why. Anyway...
I like my cakes to be moist and sweet. The best kinds get me to eat and eat and eat until a moan of pleasure escapes.
The cream frosting on top was just the right amount of creaminess, the kind that doesn't get your fingers too sticky (not that I mind licking them off anyway). The mini bundt cake, however, was much too dense and dry. As if it needed some more lube....I mean butter.
For $2.50, I'm sure I can find something better. Something that makes those moans a little more intense...and maybe even more frequent.
Ahhh yes...it's nice to be back.

Definitely the cutest bake shop in Hollywood! I got to try a slice of the cookies & cream bundt and it was hands down the most delicious frosting I have ever tasted (and I've had a lot!) The cake itself was moist and fresh!
I've heard a lot of great things from friends about the 7-up cake and the red velvet, which I can not wait to try on a future visit. They also have tastings every other month, so check their website because you can have the opportunity to try a ton of different bundts for $10 -great deal for those of you with a sweet tooth!
Note: I wouldn't keep your bundt in the fridge if you have leftovers. I did and the cake wasn't nearly as good the next day. Now I know to just cover my leftovers in foil in the future!

Kiss Sprinkles goodbye and "Kiss my Bundt" hello! Lol that's basically what the girl at the register implied...I walked in on a whim after passing the adorable decoration in front of the building while on my bike. I walked in and I was stunned. It's a super townsy old-school american dream kind of bakery haha. Selling a sprinkles like selection of cupcakes and coffee etc.
Anyway I asked what their best cupcake was and she said "Red Velvet." I was like oh like sprinkles, and she's like "better." The serotonin started to rush to my brain already, and my mouth started to slightly water...
Then she asked me "would you like to try it?!" A free sample! HELL YEAH. So she went to the back put a piece of the cupcake and even put the frosting on it. I put it in my mouth and chewed, hardly. The cupcake crumbled in my mouth like miniature moist bread balloons... and the frosting mixed with it, making a cookies and cream-like concoction, and me one satisfied customer. I bought two for friends...got home, and ate one, I couldn't resist.
Haha I hope you try it, but if you don't, it's okay because I'll keep eating them anyway lol.
It was two months ago since me and my friends took a baking class here and well we so wanted to do it again with the wine or the icing class but after the fact that the owner of the shop promised to email us all the recipes that we did in class but never did, even after some of us emailed her for them, kinda is disappointing and discouraging. I mean the cakes were good but my friends purposely didn't take the packet home to one leave them for future classes and two because they thought they get an email of it and again never did. I mean I'm still waiting for it..........sorry Chrysta but that is kinda janky-
3 stars lost from me.

Ok so I went to party over the weekend with my girls. (I love hanging with my girls).
So a friend brought a "Kiss My Bundt" full-size bundt cake--Red Velvet.
So, I thought to myself, here is my chance to try "Kiss My Bundt" again.
I take a piece of the cake, and it was quite good. I could taste the butter (yeah), it was dense and heavy (yeah) and it was moist (yeah).
Just the way I like my cakes...like grandma used to make.
The icing was cream cheese, very rich, but tasty.
So of course I cut 3 more slices and packed them in aluminum foil for later. Naturally.
The next day I ate a red velvet slice for breakfast, I even took my mom a slice...she agreed that it was good. She told me "Now you'd better go on Yelp and write a good review ...."
Yes mother, I will......... :)

Almost everyone loves cupcakes. That perfect portion of cake, complete with frosting and sometimes a little decoration is so self-contained, so perfect, and so manageable. Who cares that many people eat THREE of them at a sitting - they can still claim that, oh, it was just a cupcake. In Los Angeles the cupcake fad has been upon us for awhile and little cupcake boutique bakeries selling "designer cupcakes" have been sprouting up all over L.A. for some time selling overpriced, very pretty, and sometimes also delicious little morsels. The most well known of these is Sprinkles, which has been featured on multiple TV shows and maintains a continuous line of celebs, tourists and locals, who patiently stand on the sidewalk in front of the upper crust Beverly Hills address, waiting for the chance to turn over an exorbitant amount of cash for a red velvet - or maybe a chai tea cupcake.
While I do like Sprinkles' red velvet cupcake (though my all time fave is the lemon coconut flavor), and I've also sampled Yummy cupcakes (tasty, too) and Crumbs (too many ridiculously sugary toppings, in my opinion), all of them might as well shut their doors now that Kiss My Bundt has come on the scene. As the name suggests, Kiss My Bundt is launching a one store attack on the cupcake fad, attempting to replace it with, you guessed it, BUNDT CAKES. And wow. They single handedly may just win the battle.
Chrysta Wilson is the founder and owner of the shop and can be found there most any day of the week baking up her own perfected recipes for mouthwatering, moist, tender, light and delicious cakes which you can get in three sizes. Of course the normal sized large bundt cake is available (or can be special ordered). There's the baby bundt (the size of probably 1.5-2 cupcakes) and mini preemie bundts, which are just a mouthful. Topped with any number of rich and creamy homemade frostings or perfect glazes, and these things are really worth writing home about. Chrysta has about a zillion flavors that she can make, though she generally only has about 10 to 15 flavors available on any given day (you can special order a large sized bundt cake or a minimum of 3 baby bundts of any flavor at any time - just give them four hours notice). Flavors include red velvet, German chocolate, milk chocolate, luscious lemon drop, carrot, 7-Up pound cake, and strawberry lemonade, to name a few. There's also a myriad of hand whipped and stirred frostings, glazes and syrups adorning the tops including lemon glaze, cream cheese frosting, chocolate ganache, etc. The full menu is on their website. Drool trays recommended. Or at least a napkin. Every single flavor that I've tried has been consistently amazing - perfectly moist, perfectly flavored, perfectly divine, but my personal faves are the red velvet or the luscious lemon with my own requested additions of cream cheese frosting and coconut (yes, I know it comes with glaze, but just entertain my absolute gluttony and add cream cheese frosting and coconut shavings too - PLEASE, thank you).
Though they are definitely lacking in the corporate and institutional smoothness of Sprinkles (the labels look like they were printed out on a home printer), and they don't yet have that "I'm better than you because I have-or-am-at SPRINKLES" attitude, they do have the charm of a local "mom and pop" (or maybe just "mom") business and they have cake that will send you to the moon with one bite. Or at least send you to the corner of 3rd and Crescent Heights over and over and over again (free valet parking in back).

I went to Kiss My Bundt for the Intro to Baking Class. When I first arrived, we were still waiting for other people to show up so Chrysta put out some bundt cakes to taste. We then divided into two teams and we made bundt cakes. Chrysta showed us her basic cake recipe and we as a group chose a flavor for the cake and the frosting. My group did a coffee cake (my idea, yay!) with a basic buttercream frosting. It was delicious! After we baked the mini bundt cakes and decorated them, they were packaged for us to take home. We were each given 1 of our team's bundt cakes and two additional bundt cakes from the bakery. The kitchen was a little crowded but everyone had a great time. It was a solid 4 star experience.
Chrsyta's a Trojan so she gets an extra star.

This is my FAVORITE new bakery. Oh man are these little (and big) bundt cakes good. Hot damn. The owner is a sweetie, she let us taste a sample or two and we fell in love. My ultimate favorite is the carrot cake bundt - it is amazing and jaw-dropping good. And I know carrot cake, it's my favorite cake ever. It is divine.
Plus, I love the 7up bundt cake it's lightly citrus, and buttery oh man it's good. My next favorite is the chocolate with chocolate frosting or glaze. The cakes are so moist, so tender, the frostings are so good. The chocolate cake/frosting isn't sicky sweet and has a nice deep chocolate flavor.
Sorry to the other bakeries in town but this is my go-to place from now on. It's just that good!
And they really love their customers and the community - so kudos to this business for working to keep 3rd street as great as it can be.
Thanks!
Yay, i have another excuse to go to Melrose besides Joan's for dessert! Kiss my Bundt is a cute little place that a cupcake lover should definitely try once. Their mini bundts, is different from a cupcake, but totally satisfies just the same. The cake itself is quite moist, but has an ever so light crunch to the outside. I love their cream cheese frosting, cuz it has a wonderful real "cream cheese" flavor that i find lacking in a lot of other cc frosting. it gives me happiness like when i find my tiramisu has used marscapone, rather than some plain whip cream.
What's cool is that they also bake in small batches to keep things fresh and will top the frosting after you order.
The red velvet was my fave and the carrot cake and chocolate cake were yummy. the only thing that disappointed me was the german chocolate cake- which was WAY WAY gingery.
The customer service could have been a little better but overall, i'll definitely be back to try some more things on the menu!

Upside down pineapple is the bundt cake to get. I THINK IM IN LOVE IT! Haha.. Next time I go there, 7up is the one for me. :)
Some of the best cakes I've had. At first I thought that their red velvet was my favorite, but now that I think about it, they were all good in their own way, depending on what you're craving for. Everything is served fresh, and by this, I mean the bundt cakes don't even get frosted until after you order them. Excellent service too. They offer samples just to make sure that you know what you're getting yourself into. I planned on buying a few, but after sampling one, I ended up buying a box.

I was a little disappointed by the sweetness of the frosting... perhaps if they used a lighter glaze it would be a lot better for me. Anyway, this is a very very charming low key store. It is sort of hidden and easy to miss. It is rather not a sit in cafe... in fact, they only have one chair and one sofa. However, they have some of the most moist cakes I've ever had.
I thought their mini bundt cakes looked like upside down muffins. I havent's had their big sized ones, so yeah.
I was very impressed by the variety of flavours that they offer, and apparently you can request ANY one of their flavours provided you call in advance.

i love the name and i love the concept but i don't love the price.
$2.50 for mini bundt cake and the $5 for a regular bundt. i guess it isn't too bad especially considering it is el rey but still i can get like two huge fresh peach donuts from donutman.
the service was weird. the owner seemed all friendly when we first walked in but as soon as we decided that we wanted to get some cakes, she disappeared and we were kind of lost not knowing if we will be able to purchase some. she kind of did her own thing and ignored us for awhile. not very nice.
i didn't like the lemon glazed bundt but the carrot cake with creamy frosting definitely made me go oh~ la~ la~
it's great but it's not all that amazingly awesome. i probably wouldn't make a trip out here just for the bundts but if i am in the neighborhood, i might stop by for some.

Decided to go in and see what this place was all about. Met with Chrysta, the owner and head Bundtmeister. She's really nice, informative and a delight to talk to. She explained her bundt philosophy with me and I decided to hit them cakes! I mean the bundt cakes. Her cakes were sweet, moist and yielding. A sweet moan of pleasure escaped my lips as I savored my first taste of lemon drop. Tartish and sweet - mmmm delish and yummy. After the initial taste, I lost myself in pure ecstasy and pleasure. I recovered sufficiently to return for seconds. This time her strawberry beckoned. Moisture tender and yielding. A little too sweet for me though. The butter cream toppings were dreamy.

id love to split my review please....
id like to give 1 star to the moronic reviews that ive read about this place.... you lame useless idiots that review a business because of hours posted or that they didnt send you information on a cooking class... are you serious? wow.
ok.... i feel better now, although i think i twisted my angle stepping off my soap-box....lets talk about kiss my bundt shall me?

i dont eat sweets much.... just not my thing..
my darlin' on the other hand believes that sugar is the only real food group.
the owner/baker/ bundt goddess chrysta is one of the people that our fair city should cherish. she is down to earth, real, adorable and talented as it gets.
ive gone to the sterile beverly hills pretentious sprinkles.. and quite frankly, it wasnt even worth reviewing.
ive eaten the mini cakes at autie em's... and, as much as i appreciate old fashioned.... they are just badly old fashioned...
but these mini cakes? wow...
delicate... elegant and stunning flavors.
the carrot cake is without question the best i have ever had...i mean. its 'slap yo mamma' good.. and there is some devilish concoction called a champagne cake that makes me proud that im 25 lbs to fat and just don't give a fuck about dieting!
amazin' amazin'.... cute interior, friendly service and a fabulous product.
thank you chrysta for being great.... thank you los angeles, for supporting her.
I considered that perhaps I should pen this review under a pseudonym, since I am a long-time cupcake devotee. My reputation as a cake-in-a-cup snob may be jeopardized by a cross over into bundt territory, but that is just a risk I will have to take...

I just don't get this place! The selection is mediocre and the staff didn't seem to know much about it. The taste: ho-hum. The store had no sense of style and the coffee bar was messy. Maybe we were there on an off day, but I'd never go back.
I love the idea! It's a new twist on cupcakes. The owner is warm, friendly, and offered endless samples (and i do love my samples).
However, the Red Velvet was average and the Chocolate cake with Vanilla Frosting was a bit too sweet.
I had a sampling of the coconut cake and i would say, it's interesting but stick with what you normally order.
At $2.50 for a mini bundt that is average tasting during this recession, I'd say- try it for the cute factor but unfortunately, don't expect to be a repeat customer =(

Move over SusieCakes...I've got a new favorite!!!
The bundt cakes are moist, flavorful, and not too sweet. They come in a variety of sizes and different daily flavors. The minis are $2.50 each (and I think you get more for your $$$ because they're bigger than the mini cupcakes sold at various bakeries around town) and the baby bundts are $3 each.
I tried the carrot w/cream cheese frosting, chocolate w/glaze, and red velvet (of course). All were top notch! I'll probably be back today!!!

I've been waiting forever to review this joint, however I didn't want to just write a review because I've known the owner for years, but instead I wanted to be able to give a good review of the cakes I've heard everyone rave about for the past 4 years or so.
So my boyfriend and I stopped by last Thursday on our way down to San Diego to pick up some mini bundts for my cousin's family and some baby bundts for ourselves.
Chrysta the owner is a character herself and is very friendly and welcoming of all her customers, with her personality alone she makes a very personable shop owner who goes out of her way to get to know all her customers. Granted, we've known each other for years, but my boyfriend and I hung out in the shop for a good hour as we watched a steady stream of folks stop by and were able to watch her interaction with them.
Now on to the cakes. My favorites are the Vanilla Cake with white chocolate shavings on top, the Cinnamon Cake with glaze and of course the Red Velvet, which we ordered a big old bundt of to take back up to the bay. The carrot cake was pretty good too. What I really like about the cakes is that the frosting isn't as sweet as some other bakery locations I've been to, so for me that's truly the selling point for me!
Please note that if you want a big old bundt, you need to call 4 hours ahead as they custom make them just for you!

It was 5:30pm on a Sunday, + after an indecisive period of trying to figure out what kind of sweets my friends + I were craving before dinner, we settled on selecting Kiss By Bundt. Just the pictures of the cute, unique little cakes were enough to persuade us to make the trip over there... + it was a speedy trip that we had to make indeed because the little shop closes at 6pm on Sundays! Luckily, we called + they were so kind enough to stay open a couple minutes past 6pm for our arrival.
What was also really nice was that we were also offered free samples of flavors we were curious about since this was our 1st visit. We ordered quite a few cakes of different sizes between the 3 of us of all different flavors + sizes + they all still tasted moist + yummy even this late in the day. In the end, my friends each got some Red Velvet cakes, + I got a mini Chocolate cake to eat on the spot + then a baby Cookies + Cream cake to take home + share. What surprised me was the longevity of the cakes. This latter one that I took home survived a good bit of toppling in its box + was still looking cute + tasting delicious the next day when we had it for breakfast, haha. The frosting isn't too sweet like some cupcake places can be, + they have a fairly good variety for whatever kind of baked sweetness you may be craving.
However, since they are a specialty item from the likes of 3rd Street, of course, they're a bit on the pricey side. The little mini guys are $2.50 + the baby-sized ones are $4.50 each. They're one of those little treats that you have to at least try once, but I probably won't frequent the place more than a few times a year unless I'm in the area + craving something sweet. =)
I don't remember too much of what the place looked like since we were in + out fairly fast, but I remember the decor being pink + black themed with a small amount of seating. Parking in this area is always tough, but they had a shared tandem-parking lot in the back. I can imagine that it would probably be harder to find a place to park during peak working hours.

My coworker brought in a couple bundts from this place. Does that count? I mean I had some. By some, I mean a lot. By a lot I mean I was like a ninja, sneaking slices and eating them fast, and getting back in line pretending like I didn't get any yet.
I like the red velvet. It was moist. I like it when cakes are moist. They are easier to eat fast, in situations like these.
I don't have much to say about the chocolate. I'm not a fan of chocolate, in general.

One of the best Bundt cakes I've ever had in my life. I have yet to find a replacement closer to my area. The owner is super nice and didn't mind us taking our time deciding what my friends and I wanted. She was also nice enough to recommend a restaurant (Tascas) to us which was awesome. It was our first time there and we were offered a plethora of samples for us. It really helped us decide what we wanted. The Lemon drop is here is AWESOME!
Our trip here definitely made my trip to LA worthwhile.
It might be considered a litle pricey, but I think I've spent more money at worse places.
My Sister- "What kind of cake should we get dad for his B-Day?"
Me- "I have wanted to try this place called Kiss My Bundt".
Sister- "Can you stop playing for once in your life and act serious. You're so immature"
Me-"I'm being serious. It's a shop in LA that specializes in Bundt cakes."
Sister- "Oh, sorry about that"
Delicious cakes are not the only thing special about this wonderful bakery. Their customer service is by far the best I have ever experienced at any bakery I have been too in my life. I called a few days in advance to ask some questions about prices, cake sizes and flavors. The girl over the phone was awesome. She answered all my questions and even gave me some suggestions. I ended up going with a Big Ol' Red Velvet Bundt Cake with extra cream cheese frosting and Happy Birthday Dad written in blue icing on the top of the cake. Once we arrived to the shop I knew that I would be leaving with more then just the one cake that I ordered. The girls at the counter brought out the cake I ordered and let us see it before they boxed it up. After they had the cake boxed up they offered us free samples of their cakes that they had available that day. Each cake I tried was phenomenal. I especially liked the Carrot Bundt Cake. The cake itself was very moist and packed full of carrot pieces, little nuts and raisins. The frosting was amazing too. We ended up leaving with the cake we ordered and a bunch of mini bundt cakes.
The Big Ol' Red Velvet Bundt Cake was a huge hit at my dad's birthday party. There were 8 of us at the party and the cake was big enough so that everyone got to have 2 big slices. This was the moistest RV cake I have ever had in my life. The frosting was also incredible. I got nothing but compliments on this cake all night long.
This is something that I never thought I would say but this place was so good that I have no choice.
"Kiss My Bundt's cakes are just as good as any cupcake I have ever had".

A few months ago, I heard the rumblings of a new cake shop in town.Surprisingly, it wasn't a new cupcake shop. Instead, it was all about bundt cakes at the Kiss My Bundt bakery, owned &operated by Chrysta Wilson. Since this cutely named bakery was on the other side of town from me, I didn't have any immediate plans to check it out until I went on a walking food tour run by Melting Pot Tours.
Lo and behold, it was along our route. On the way back to my car, I decided to stop by and see what the fuss was all about. As luck would have it, it was their grand opening and there were free samples to be had, which were quite tasty. After touching base with Chrysta and than following up, I set up a cake tasting for my dining group.
The evening started with Chrysta giving us some background about her shop and how she got started. You can read her entire story by visiting her website, but what isn't written there is how she came up with the name of her business. Her previous work background has been in government and the non-profit sector and after having had a long work week and still having to be in the office during the weekend, she threw her hands up and said "This job can kiss my bundt!" Voila! The name of her new bakery.
Another thing Chrysta emphasized to us is that their bundt cakes are Southern-style meaning that while traditional Southern bundt cakes are very sweet, she didn't want to use that same sensibility for her own cakes. In fact, what impressed me about the cakes we sampled that evening was that they had just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy one's sweet tooth craving without making you feel that you just ate a cup of sugar in cake form. Now that you've had some background, let's talk about cake tasting itself.
The first cake we sampled was a Vanilla Bundt Cake with a Vanilla Butter Cream. I tend to favor stronger flavors, even in dessert, so this wouldn't be the type of cake I'd order on my own. However, the cake itself was moist and if you're a vanilla lover, this bundt cake is for you.
Next up was a Carrot Cake with a Cream Cheese Frosting that had an interesting story behind it. Traditional Southern carrot cake has pineapple as an ingredient and sometimes even raisins, neither of which Chrysta was a big fan of. So her first attempts at carrot cake didn't include either ingredient, but the cakes weren't turning out right, both in flavor and texture. It took her 5 years to finally come up a recipe that could mimic a classic Southern carrot cake, but without the pineapple or the raisins. I was a big fan as soon as soon as I took my first bite of a cake that was carrot-sweet and nutty. The pineapple and raisins were not missed at all.
The next cake we tried was and still is their top selling cake and it's their Red Velvet Cake with a Cream Cheese Frosting. An interesting thing that Chrysta mentioned is that that there's a basic assumption that a Red Velvet Cake is a straight out chocolate cake that's been dyed red. Red dye is usually used, but the addition of cocoa powder to a Red Velvet Cake recipe is minimal to what you'd see added to a regular chocolate cake recipe. Side by side and maybe even blind-folded, one could probably taste the difference. Although I love the color, I never understood why people are so gaga over red velvet cakes. Flavor-wise, it's pretty mild and in fact, I don't even feel like there's anything distinct in how it tastes. I wouldn't turn down this cake, but it wouldn't be my first choice.
After the Red Velvet Cake came one of my favorite cakes of the evening. Simply, it was a Callebaut® Chocolate Bundt Cake with a Chocolate Glaze. My eyes are glazing over just thinking about it. I remember Chrysta mentioning that the cake itself was dark chocolate with the glaze being more milk chocolate. All I know was that each forkful was heavenly. Of the cakes we sampled so far, I found this one to be the most moist and I loved its chocolate richness. I think some people even asked for milk to go with this particular cake. I could go for a slice right now.
Following the chocolate bundt cake was the Pumpkin Bundt Cake served in two different ways. We had one sample with the cream cheese frosting and one with a cinnamon sugar glaze. I actually preferred the version with the cinnamon sugar glaze. It was almost like eating a pumpkin pie in the form of a cake.
Finally, our tasting ended with a slice of their Rum Pound Cake with a Butter Rum Glaze. I enjoyed this cake as much as I did the chocolate bundt cake. I think this cake was actually soaking in rum because the cake was pretty moist. The butter rum which tasted like one of my favorite hard candies, butterscotch, was the perfect match.
Overall, this was a wonderful tasting event. Chrysta was informative, funny and really knows her bundt cakes and we got to sample a nice cross-section of what her bakery offers.

Excellent all around! :)
I don't even know where to begin! What makes this place special is their frosting. Oh, their delicious frosting! They actually dollop it on fresh as you order! Their cakes are very moist and fluffy, not dense and dry. Their frosting is very light and tasty, not too sweet at all.
I would highly recommend their strawberry bundt cake! They use fresh strawberries in it. The oreo cake was a little weird for me because of the texture. But the red velvet and vanilla cake was very good.
Oh, did I mention? They give samples! They want you to know what you're paying for. How great is that? A company that actually cares and does not just want your hard earned cash!
I met the owner of the shop there and she's a great gal! Very friendly too!
