If you need hair/make up for a wedding, photo shoot, etc., call/email Alison ASAP and book your session. She's the best when it comes to hair and make up. She did me and my maid of honor for my wedding 3 years ago, and she was the hair/make up stylist for my brother's wife's bridal party this past weekend. She's personable, sweet, quick, and so talented. She even remembered me from three years ago.
She is sometimes hard to get a hold of because she is so busy, so be persistent and beg until she commits. It's worth the effort! -

Alison Hayashi is by far the best eyebrow shaper in the Universe. She is quick, talented and extremely nice. Also, her custom blend powder and foundation is absolutely wonderful. She also did my wedding makeup and her talent cannot be matched. My eyebrows speak for themselves. Everywhere I go, people ask me "who does your eyebrows" and I always refer them to Allison and kiss&makeup, the best. And her pricing - can't be beat. Why spend an absurd amount of money at Paul Brown or Aveda to look like a drag queen, when you can look like a celebrity super star courtesy of Alison Hayashi. I swear, just give her one shot, and you will be hooked!

Love Alison!!! I've been going to Alison for years to get my eyebrows waxed! She is not only fantastic, but one of the kindest most genuine people I have ever met! Her scheduling is flexible, her shop in Kapahulu is soooo cute, parking is easy, and honestly, whenever I go, it's like going to a friend's house for girl time! I love it!! But she doesn't only do eyebrows... Alison is a make-up genius too!! Not only can she accentuate you to make you more beautiful... she even custom blends foundations to perfectly match your skin tone! And she gives make-up lessons!
Now, the other perks... Alison always has the cutest little products in her shop too - from make-up, to jewelry, to bags, etc. So much fun - I've picked up several gifts for Christmas and birthdays, and myself, while getting myself groomed! One stop shop!!! It's like the perfect girl oasis! -

I found Alison through Yelp and I'm so glad I did. I booked a trial make-up and hair session with her, as well as an appointment for hair and make-up for my actual wedding day. Both visits were extremely pleasant.
I'm not someone who regularly wears heavy make-up and Alison made note of it. I was glad I did a trial session with her because after that session, I went out to dinner to see how the makeup and hair would hold up after a few hours. I told her how it went and she made the correct adjustments for my actual wedding day. Besides going a little heavier on the makeup, I made a last minute hair change, which Alison was able to accommodate. Considering the whole day lasted lasted 14 hours, the makeup and especially the hair, held up nicely.
Besides the wonderful service, Alison is such a sweetheart. Two of my bridesmaids accompanied me during the trial makeup session and we all agreed that she is such a pleasant person to be around. When I arrived on the day of the wedding, I was tired from lack of sleep and stressed, but Alison was very calming and kept the ambiance light.
I would definitely recommend her to any bride. -

Through chance, I met Alison and took a couple of makeup lessons from her.
Although Alison sells makeup under her own label, she taught me how to use my own makeup in new ways. The results were truly transformative.
Mostly, being in the presence of someone so graceful is what service is all about.
It is rare that women teach each other the magic of being female, and this is what Alison does for a living! -

Alison did my hair and makeup for my destination wedding in Honolulu. It was stressful to plan a destination wedding but Alison was always prompt on her email correspondence and easy to get in touch with, and I really appreciate that.
I loved my wedding day makeup and hair. Alison made me look flawless and natural. Alison is wonderful, accommodating, extremely nice, and very professional. I was very fortunate and happy to have Alison's help on my wedding day. -

She runs a lovely little studio in Kapahulu and does on-site service, but you better reserve her early if you want her for your event!

Alison is truly THE BEST! She is very quick to respond to any email and or phone calls. With only a 2 weeks notice, I was able to book hair and makeup for myself and hair for my mom for my wedding back in September. I'm from CA, so communication was very important.
Alison is also extremely professional, but she is also genuinley nice. The day of my service, I had a little hard time trying to find her studio, but Alison was so kind enough to stand at the street side, so I can find her. She even showed me where to park. My mom and I enjoyed talking to her as she put my face on and did our hair. She truly made us feel welcomed and very comfortable.
As for my hair and makeup, she did an amazing job! Exactly how I wanted it done. My mom was really happy with her hair-she was concerned because she has the thin straight Japanese hair, which I guess is hard to put up and keep up. When Alison was done with my hair, she suggested I put flowers in it. She took me down stairs to this little flower shop (I wish I got my bouquet there) and I purchased 3 flowers for $5. Alison placed the flowers in my hair and I felt complete! I loved the way I looked and so did my husband. My makeup and hair lasted all day long and so did my mom's.
I highly recommend Alison for your hair and makeup needs. She's very efficient with communication, very professional, and knows how to make u feel welcomed-like your ohana.
We will for sure go to Alison again hopefully in the near future ;)

I *heart* Alison. Experiencing Alison begins with stepping into her studio. It is so cute and has this calming effect. The studio is kind of like a girlfriend's hangout (although may guys see her as well...although I am sure none of them would like to admit it.).
Alison truly cares about each of her clients and has a gift for seeing the the beauty in her clients and bringing that beauty out. She is fast, professional and has such a great eye for make-up and eyebrow shaping. I have gone to her for my wedding day make-up/hair, eyebrow shaping and make-up lessons. Each one of them were worth every penny I paid. Alison is the best. -

I was a bridesmaid in one of my best friends wedding a few weeks ago at the Hale Koa Hotel. Alison did a fantastic job of doing hair & make-up for all 4 bridesmaids & the bride. She is very professional and a perfectionist. I live here in the mainland and it's really hard to find a person who can do make-up for Asian faces. Alison made it look so effortless. The make-up lasted all day & I didn't need to touch up once. She manages her time well & makes sure that everyone gets done in the given time frame. I posted a few shots in the morning of the girls getting ready .
