We drove up to Kennebunkport for a wedding that was being held at the Nonantum Resort. After finding out that we'd be paying over $300 a night at the Nonantum we decided to look around town and see what else was available.
The King's Port Inn definitely had a small town feel but was perfect for what we needed. By the time we made the reservation the only room available was a jacuzzi king room with a HUGE four poster bed, two person jacuzzi and shower room with multiple shower heads. The bed practically took up the entire room, so maneuvering around was a challenge, but it was comfortable and clean.
With the AAA membership discount we paid $170 a night (breakfast included) and it was money well spent. We could walk out the front door and into the little town in 2 minutes and the hotel was quiet when we wanted to sleep.
Overall, nothing fancy but definitely a good choice for the money. The jacuzzi made the whole thing quite romantic indeed!
