Review Highlights
Oh yeah! one of the best tacos in the L.A area
Yummy steak and pork. Salsas are to die for. Prices are all right
Well worth it, give it a try!
King Taco rocks.
I always thought El Taurino was the best Mexican late night spot, but King Taco gives it a run for its money. I like going out with my friends and eating at KT after a long night of drinking.
King Taco rocks.
No lengthy humorous review here old friend, just straight shootin all the way:
Carne asada is the business. Puro carne asada burrito w/o slasa is the tops.
Fin.
King Taco Summer 2009 Tour - Stop #3
Catering was awesome. The hot sauce was toooo freaking hot my lips are numb. The chips are good. The are promt, great customer service and very nice.
The best tacos around, if you feel like grabbing a bite to eat around 3 o'clock in the morning this place is open 24hours. You won't find yourself alone at 3am, many people who are leaving parties, or clubs go there to eat.
The tacos here are great. I had a couple of tacos of buche and a couple of lengua tacos. I'm usually hesitant to order this type of meat because sometimes it can be very rubbery. But not this time. The tacos where very good. They serve them with onion cilantro and green salsa. You can ask them to serve it with red salsa but be careful it was HOT!
A KING by definition is a principal piece, or chief among competitors. And as far as tacos are concerned, luckily...this place is very aptly named.
Been here a couple of times and never had a problem with parking...even though inside it's always packed with "la raza"...my people! I love it! There's like 3 different cashiers so a short wait to order my 4 tacos...Today, I decide on 2 de buche (pig esophagus) and 2 de suadero (thin brisket cut from breast of cow) con todo (onion, cilantro n hot sauce) to go. Only $1.25 per taco and they still take my VISA! extra star!
Get home and the delicious smell was driving me crazy on the ride home. Crack open a sol cerveza, squeeze a little lime and I dig in. The buche is pretty damn good, great texture just a tad bit chewy...yum. Suadero has this smooth texture rather than muscle grain and also pretty darn tasty. These two meats are good to try once in a while...but the standouts in my opinion are pastor tacos and cabeza! The wife even enjoyed her carne asada tacos and a carne sope! So if your trusty neighborhood taco truck hasn't rolled in and parked yet.....come on in and visit your local King and enjoy!
Delicious, authentic and cheap! How much better can it get? I can always park my car and I can go in wearing sweat pants. My favorite: Taco Al Pastor.
5 stars! Oh yes... you deserve it Senor King Taco.
Sure Huntington Park is on the verge of being ghetto - but with Lynwood at it's toes and Cudahy a stones throw away, it really ain't too shabby.
I came from the 105 and drove down Pacific for awhile, even thinking I had completely passed the joint. Luckily King Tacos are pretty visible and at the last minute I spotted my beloved destination.
Parking is limited but the attached lot is helpful. The security guard takes his job seriously... even when he's yammering on the phone. Like a lot of other KT joints, this one is clean, well lit and spacious. I got my trusty al pastor tacos and even got a tamale, I was feeling so good. Over good food and drink, I sat and talked with my friend for almost 2 hours.
This time of year, the place was decked out in Thanksgiving gear. I just like that this place is good for anyone and everyone: families, single diners, couples, clans of high schoolers, hung over clubbers...
I'd go back to this location because I won't have to go all the way to East LA just to get my treasured al pastor fix. Mmmhm!
Parking is limited but this place is really good. It's worth the extra drive
if you're headed to the other one off the 105 in Lynwood. That other
one is hella ghetto with a capital "G"!! LOL. King Taco is so popular
because they actually have good food for being a chain which is hard
to find. I usually get their tacos, tried their burrito wasn't impressed. Try
their Horchata, Tamarindo or Jamaica while you're there as well. I love
the fact that there are many local women that frequent here, which to
me are pretty in their own right. Quick tip: If you approach someone put
the taco down first, HA ha HA!
No frills. Just seriously great tacos, cheap. They're small, sure, but I just order 4 instead of 2. Watch out for the hot sauce though. I thought I could take it, as I use Tobasco quite a bit, but I put too much on and my my ears were steaming and my eyes were watering. I still ate my tacos though.
if anyone gives king taco anything, but a 5 star i'm going to hunt you down. king taco is wonderful. 3 words Carne, Asada, and nachos. yes mi amigos chips, cheese sauce, and the best carne asada you've ever had. they have great tacos and burritos. don't know what the deal is with the pea yes 1 pea (aka el diablo is what we call you)in the rice. how do you seem to get one pea in my burrito everytime. anyway they have chicken and the al pastor is to die for. trust me, this chino knows mexican food.
I go out of may way to hit this king taco up, cause it is less crowded and taste so much better then the other one off of the 60 and the 710
