I gotta say that this is the best nail salon I've been to. I came in here with my girlfriends to get our nails done for prom. We were seated quickly on a busy day 'cause we made an appointment. Although it took forever (to me), they did a great job on my acrylics. Zebra design tips ! :] I think they're really busy on weekends, so make appointments ahead of time.

$28 white tip acrylics with design.

Pros: Inexpensive, friendly staff, broad selection of designs &nail polish.
Cons: Street parking, slightly ghetto neighborhood.

King's Hair & Nails is my favorite inexpensive, slightly ghetto nail salon.  When I was in high school my friends and I would walk up to King's during lunch and get our eyebrows waxed (we were very well groomed teens).  I don't know about the 'hair' part of the business name, but maybe they are referring to hair removal.  Jennifer is the most amazing eyebrow groomer I have ever gone too (including the expensive Marina-y type places).  You will see how popular she is by the line that is almost constantly present.  I think the other women must be decent brow waxers as well, but Jennifer is clearly the star.  King's is organized chaos, so when you walk in just say "Jennifer-eyebrow" and they will command you to sit down and wait.  

Jenn is meticulous, she trims any unruly hairs with tiny scissors, then expertly (and mostly non-painfully) waxes, then she finishes with the tweezers.  She also laughs sweetly at my attempts at Vietnamese, which doesn't make me feel quite as silly.  All of this for $7 (prices might have gone up a tad, but probably not by much).  You will never go to the white ladies for a $30 eyebrow wax again.

Omg...This is the best Nails Salon I've ever been too!! It's so cheap and inexpensive. I walked over there and then I asked if I could get my nails and eyebrows done! I'll say! Jennifer is the best eyebrow groomer ever! When she uses her little clippers it doesn't even hurt! I can also see that Tony is good at putting long nails in and the women too. Jennifer has a fine work of art when she paints those cute designs on my nails, she should become a nail artist for people in Hollywood or something! If you want a good Nails Salon you should go to King Nails!(Well, that's what it said on the red banner above the Salon.)
