King Buffet

Decided to check out the King Buffet a few days ago to see what it was all about. A lot of my friends and coworkers had been talking about it, so I thought it would probably be pretty good.

I have to admit that when I went inside the place was clean and had rather nice decorations. The first thing I noticed, however, was that the staff was not incredibly friendly. The main receptionist didn't even so much as glance at us as we waited to be seated.

Our waitress was not incredibly friendly, either, but I was happy with her because she was quite efficient and never missed a step to tend to our needs.

So that's customer service there. The food is a different story--they had a satisfactory selection of Chinese food and they had a few items that were not Chinese, such as pizza, fried foods, breads, and of course desserts.

Their selection is the best thing they had going for them, though. Don't get me wrong: there was nothing WRONG with the food. Everything was clean, prepared well, and presented nicely to the customers. The issue was that there wasn't much RIGHT with the food. Most of it simply didn't have a lot of taste to it. So you'd either be stuck with a bunch of items that you're adding sauce to in order to cover up the blandness, or you'd find one item that you actually enjoyed and that would be all you'd have.

The restaurant gets a rating that is overall positive because it was a pleasant experience. But I likely would not return unless they added more variety or I heard the food got better.

Oh, and the ice cream machine was down when we went. That was kind of a bummer!

I consider this place to be a personal guilty pleasure of mine. It is obviously not a top quality buffet, especially if you compare it to the ones in Vegas and San Fran. But the variety vs quality vs pricing ratio hits just right for me. If I ever get a craving to pig out without feeling guilty about my wallet, this is my go to. The service is very basic, the interior is just functional, and the dessert selection is hecka bland. But we don't live in Vegas or San Fran, do we? For a night of pigging out till semi-coma, this places does it well in scratching that itch for random Asian cuisine.

The sushi did in fact have pickles in it LOL, but it was actually the best thing the Buffet had to offer. Bland chow mein and rice, felt like eating white rice with soy sauce. French fries were cold and freezer burnt. Egg roll was dripping in old grease. The low quality food didn't shock me, but how filthy the restaurant was did. Sticky tables, spilt sauces on the walls, and the floor hasn't been vacuumed. It feels unfortunate to leave such a negative review, but after spending nearly $30 I feel scammed. Take your money and spend a bit more to go to one of the casino buffets.

If the restaurant did a deep clean and kept food fresher it would be worth a visit.

This is unequivocally the worst buffet I have ever been to in my life. If I think on it, I don't know that I have ever had a worse experience at any restaurant.

I have left positive reviews at a number of restaurants in my life but never bothered to leave a negative review. If I don't enjoy a place I just won't go back. Here I feel I need to speak up. Service was non-existent but that is a side note. We went here on Easter and it was fairly busy. I say that because usually when a buffet is busy the food is fresher. This place is not just bad it is possibly dangerous. I will be reporting to the health dept as well. The shrimp and beef I chose at the wok grill was freezer burnt and I could not eat it. It's hard to mess up fried Chinese food but if you let it get cold then there is that. It seems that their heat lamps need to be replaced as many of the dishes from the buffet were lukewarm. I thought I'd order a hot green tea to settle my stomach after trying to eat this awful food. All drinks are self serve and the green tea was cold too.

They need a complete overhaul or to be shut down entirely. I am not being hyperbolic.

My friend recommended this place(we deliver cars next door). They had a good mix of mostly Chinese food. For $16.99 lunch I thought they had good variety of food. Serves was good.

Swung by and ordered Al La carte to go. Wanted a quick snack on my way home from shopping. I ordered the hot and spicy soup and two egg rolls. The soup was $6 and the portion was HUGE! The egg rolls were good too. I got no sweet and sour sauce, or any sauce for that matter for the egg rolls so that was a bummer. But I got 4 forks...

We hadn't been here for a while. It used to be pretty good. I was disappointed in the quality of their food. It was tasteless. Two of the three soft serve ice cream spouts didn't work. Turned out it was ice milk and not creamy at all. The only good dessert was the packaged fortune cookies.

The reviews are true! While the food isn't absolutely horrible, it's bland and really offers no value. We were never addressed by staff until it was time to pay, and even then they were unfriendly and prices are not obviously posted. Worst of all, the floors, tables, walls, etc are all covered in a thick layer of food and grime. Gave it a shot but will not be giving it a second one!

Food not so good cold and salty! We never go back again i thought this one is good our first time to eat here for dinner but we dissapointed after all.
