Neighborhood: Hyde ParkThis is a good liquor store, and it's in a very convenient location. It's great to stop in a grab a bottle on your way to the car from HP Produce, or on your way into Cedar's for dinner.

Best liquor store in the hp....well the only liquor store in the hp (so I had thought). Probably the only reason why they get five stars. They don't even carry sparks or PBR.
They do have tastings on Friday and Saturday nights....which is the most fantastic thing that I've ever experienced in a liquor store. And the last time I was there Seal's Kiss from a Rose was totally playing.
The attendants are super nice and helpful. And I always run into people I know there, although I think that speaks more to the company I keep than the store.

This was a pretty decent store when I first moved to Hyde Park and it has consistently been getting better. It's not as cheap as Magic Mart or the Co-op used to be, but now that both those places are gone it's the best in the neighborhood, and they usually have about a half-dozen really good sales going on. The wine selection is constantly expanding, they have a lot of really low-priced bottles (mostly California/Australia) right as you walk in which is perfect when you're having a party, and some of the staff is pretty knowledgable when it comes to the higher priced stuff further back in the store. Lots of really good microbrews kept chilled in a cooler, and even more on the shelves. Kimbark beats any liquor store I've been to in town when it comes to its selection of super-premium vodkas, which I think are usually not worth it, but if that's your thing, they've got what you're looking for. Everyone who works here is really, really nice. Now if only they had good deals on cigarettes...

This is a great liquor store in the Hyde Park area because it's open fairly late, so if there's a festive event going on, it's great to drop by. Their selection, though not the biggest I've seen, is still moderately diverse compared to other places. And they carry a lot of brands that I was surprised to see on their shelves.
They are good about recommending certain liquors, but don't ask about wine. Maybe it's just me, but they recommended Martini & Rossi...and no one particularly enjoyed the bottle. But the prices are decent, and the selection is nice.

Best liquor store in Hyde Park and a wide selection of beer and wine.
Would be nice to see more beer for under 3 dollars a six pack, but they do have sales sometimes. Super friendly staff which is what you want when you're paying for alka-hawl! A real neighborhood asset.

Not only that the wine and liquor is good here but if you're having a big event they would consider sponsoring you if they get plenty of advertising.
This is a great liquor store and it's open fairly late for Hyde Park (11 on weeknights, 12 on the weekends). Great, large selection, reasonable prices, and really cool, friendly staff. What more could you ask for? Best liquor store in Hyde Park.
