Great for a beer or two.... pretty good nightly specials... food was terrible.

We went for dinner early on a Saturday night-- before the college crowd sets in. My Fish and chips had ZERO taste (how is that possible?) and my fiance's chicken pot pie was like a brothy soup.

We won't be going back to this one.... for some reason the King of Prussia location is better?

I went to Kildare's in Media and really enjoyed it, so a couple months later, I thought I'd go to the West Chester one, since West Chester's way more fun than Media.  On with the night's recap:

It was a Saturday night, and we got seated immediately.  +1

Our server was very friendly. +1

A tray of drinks was spilled on my lap.  Shit happens, and everyone was apologetic.

My food was okay, my boyfriend's was delicious. +/- 1 (should have ordered another boxty!)

The bill came, and nothing was comped.  -1

My pants didn't dry until 2 hours later.  The dry cleaning bill's in the mail, Kildare's.

Kildare's is the default bar to go to when you can't decide where else to go.  It is always three things:

1) Crowded
2) Smokey
3) Loud

The only attribute of the three I would consider extremely negative is the smoke.  The bar is large, but can become virtually impossible to move in on Friday and Saturday nights.  The food here is average, but there are far better places in West Chester to grab a bite to eat.  If you are out and about in West Chester, odds are you'll end up in Kildare's for some portion of your night.

Kildare's has pretty decent, reasonably priced food, but what they really have going for them is their atmosphere...it's killer.  You've gotta check it out to see what I mean.  They have live music and all sorts of special events nights which are fun.
