This 'joint' is a hidden treasure. Not much to look at, but who cares when the food is soooooo outstanding?!?
I highly encourage anyone passing thorugh this area to stop and try the tex/mex eats here. The freshness is second to none and the service was friendly.
Very affordable.

Kiki's looks like your basic neighborhood bar and restaurant that you find in any city, but it's also the kind of place that the locals frequent because it's off the beaten path.

I was brought there by one of my friends and her parents when I visited El Paso, with a high recommendation to get the chicken enchiladas with green chile.  They certainly didn't disappoint as the enchiladas came with the perfect mix of chicken, cheese, and green.  Like most Mexican restaurants you do get the communal chips and salsa at the table.  If you're a fan of chunky salsa, you're not going to like this as it is blended.  However, if you love a spicy salsa, you're going to love Kiki's.

I will likely stop in again the next time I am in El Paso.

Ha everyone always makes a huge deal about Kikis.... It makes me sick. Literally.  I have eaten from there 3 times, my baby's dad works there.  And all three times I want to die within a few hours.  I gave it 3 stars cause it tastes good, it just doesn't settle well.  I'm gonna say service is good just cause my ex works there.  They only hire good looking people it seems like.

I'm in El Paso on a business trip and I'm looking for some good food. I had already had a terrible Italian meal the night before so I'm not expecting much. A co-worker (local) suggests we go to Kiki's for lunch.

The place is a hole-in-the-wall, kinda divey looking. Inside is lots of wood panels and dark Formica tables left over from the 70's. It looks like it is a restaurant by day and a neighborhood bar by night. it is kinda cozy and comfortable though. Well, don't let the appearances fool you, the food was good!

I had the brisket machaca for lunch. It came with the usual beans & rice. The rice was flavorful and good, not the usual bland stuff you get. It tasted home-made. The brisket meat may have been a little overcooked, but I like my steak rare so who knows? All I know is that the dish was flavorful, delicious and hot. The salsa they give you for the chips has just enough zing to seem spicy, but not so much that it burns. It goes great on top of the meal.

Service was fairly quick and typical, but attention was paid to us and we were never lacking any needed items or attention.

On the whole, good food, decent service and I will go back next time I am in town!

This place has been around FOR-EV-ER (and my mom used to go when she was growing up!) so I can't believe I only had my first trip to Kiki's when I was back in EP over Christmas...

It was quite divey on the inside - dark with lots of wood - but also cozy.  Service was friendly and quick.

Kiki's was good, I enjoyed it.  Unfortunately, Kiki's is usually out of my way when I'm in El Paso (we were on our way to the airport via Scenic Drive this time so it was perfect) and there are too many other good/better places I'm usually closer to.  Kiki's is good, just not go-out-of-your-way good.

Came here for lunch with some coworkers.  Really good mexican food in my opinion.  Good selection and cheap too.  The Thursday lunch special was plate of 2 chicken tacos with beans and rice for 5.25.  10% military discount for those in the service.

Whenever I am in town Kiki's is one of my many stops. It's a small restaurant which hasn't changed for years. The place is a little dated but change is not needed here. Like they say "don't fix what isn't broken". There can be a little wait but it's totally worth it. I recommend that you get yourself an order of red cheese enchiladas topped with a sunny side egg.  I heart enchiladas and Kiki's offers you some of the best ones out there. So if you are ever in the EP make sure you check this place out.

Kiki's is pretty famous in its neighborhood but truth is there's tons of places in EP better than it....much prefer the L&J for example, just a few minutes away....Kiki's is good if you're a tourist and you want to check it out once...but it's definitely not "go out of your way good" as someone already said.  The food is just ok. Big plates...usual mexican items...but they do one weird thing....they put cheese on EVERYTHING it seems...my plates there (been there 3 times) always have a pool of thin, yet tasty, spicy nacho cheese at the bottom of the plate...almost like ur plate is a pool of cheese and the food is placed on top...burritos for example are bathed in the cheese so you gotta eat 'em with a fork and knife because the flour tortilla is "cheese wet".  It's cool if ALOT of cheese if your thing...but I think that's why the food goes down a little heavier than usual.  Although they do have ONE thing at KiKi's that I'm obsessed with....their Cheese Fries are AMAZING!!  Now THAT'S a plate where I can definitely appreciate the pool of cheese!  Mmmm...makes my mouth water!

If I could give Kiki's "0" stars I would.
I had been hearing what a wonderful neighborhood place this was since I got to el Paso 15 years ago and it does have a wide reputation well beyond the central part of town. The problem is they just don't deliver. I can think of a dozen small family run neighborhood joints that have Kiki's beat hands down on food and service.
I have been three times and had less than satisfying experiences here each time. First time my steak tampiquena was actually cold and tough. It was an incredibly bad piece of meat....what I would call horse steak....that had been cooked who knows when and just had some chees melted on top. It was not edible. the young waitress was apologetic, but did not offer to not charge me for it. I p[aid the bill and left, later contacting the owner about this. Rather than offer to make it right, she just kept offering the excuse that they were very popular and people liked them. So what?
A few years later I'm returning from a business meeting and my coworkers insisted I give Kiki's another try. I ordered carefully.....how can you go wrong with enchiladas in el Paso, right? Wrong! Tasteless and can you believe, cold as a fridge inside. Guess the microwave in the kitchen wasn't working well that day. I ate about three bites and gave it up. Third time my wife insisted we go......and I'm not kidding you my enchiladas were lukewarm this time, even though I said "Make sure they are HOT!"
This place is sloppy and unprogessional and honestly, a solmonella outbreak waiting to happen.
