15 reviews for KidsQuest Children's Museum
I would give KidsQuest 5 stars if not for the fact that almost none of the adults watch their children. My little guy LOVES the train table...he could play there for hours. He has been pushed, kicked, hit, and almost bitten (I stopped it) over trains. I understand that kids will be kids, but if you know your child is a bitter/kicker/hitter you should probably keep a better eye on your kid.
That being said, we still go every week. We go on Tuesdays during member hour because it is not as busy and leave around 10:30 when it gets busier. Then we head to RR for lunch after :)
Great place to take the kids and entertain them for hours. My only complaint is that there is not a "parents section" where we can sit and relax and have a coffee or something. The kids are totally overwhelmed with everything there is to do, it's educational, it gets all their energy out..what more can you ask for? A yearly membership is only $85 for the whole family. We have a 5 and & 7 year old and it was right up their alley..probably not the greatest idea for a small tyke.

After visiting the one in Everett and having so much fun we decided to take our daughter here. Bad idea. One star because it was clean. Another star because it was safe. My daughter that turns 4 soon enjoyed the 0-3 year old room. The other ones were inside a small space or too small. She could not even go up the tree house as it was so difficult to climb. There were not that many things to do and the space is so small. She saw everthing in about 20 minutes and was looking around to see if there were more things to do. There were not. After 21 dollars we will not be returning here. The one in Everett is much much better!
FREE on Friday nights!
What can I say cash-strapped moms and dads and grandparents? This is an indoor activity geared exclusively at "yungins" and on Fridays it is FREE! Remember how psyched you'd be to get out on Friday night with your new strappy shoes, bitchin' hairdo, and the newest perfume du jour? Well, if you're reading this review, those days are gone, my friend. Strap your youngest in the Baby Bjorn and get the leash on the preschooler and drag them through Factoria into this place! Dress code apppears to be 5 months and showing.
There are a ton of activities that make noise, shoot or drip water, blow air, etc. There are also some climbing places, like a treehouse and a full-size semi truck cab - can you say photo op? Overall, it's kind of like the Pacific Science Center but less informational and no competition with those older preteen kids you run into at the Pacific Science Center.
Staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
Parking? Lots of it and it's free. Food? There's gobs of options around the Factoria area that would likely suit your little nugget-muncher's cravings.
Any knocks? It's hard to knock somewhere that's free. A minor issue is just how crowded the place does get when it's free. And LOUD.

All it needs is a sofa and a tv and I'd never leave.
This is by far the best kids museum I've visited with my toddler daughter.
As with all kids museums, all the "exhibits" are hands-on and participatory. What makes it great and unique are:
* The extensive water play area with rivers in which your kid can create a dam, float various objects, build pipe structures, etc. There's also a cool water wall where you push buttons to activate various streams of water.
* A train table to rival all train tables.
* A cool life-size truck that kids can climb into and hop in the driver seat.
* Numerous other smaller stations throughout to explore.
* Everything is clean and functioning.
* Since it's in a mall, parking is plentiful and easy.
* Also since it's in a mall, you can combine a trip to this museum with some errands or get a convenient bite to eat before or after.
If not for the fact that I live 1,200 miles away, I'd be at this museum weekly.

Love taking my little ones here - Friday nights it is FREE to get in from 5-8PM! There's very little in-your-face selling, and lots of learning and experience gathering for the kids. I enjoy getting down with my son with the blocks over in the building area, and facepainting is always fun too.
Parking is free and plentiful, so I'd recommend this to any parent of a infant/toddler up to age 6 or 7!

I've gone here twice in the past month - both times for preschoolers' birthday parties - and figured I might as well review it.
I'm not sure what the admission is, since it's always been covered by the party host (thanks!), but I think kids under 5 years old can spend HOURS here. There are creative, hands-on exhibits - and not your usual Lego-type toys (okay, there IS a large train table).
My only complaint is with their birthday party service. Seems there's only one staff member who directs all the kids with their activity -a nd usually, it's too much for a 3 or 4 year old to handle. What, with the exhibits, the pending birthday cake & lots of other kids - why bother with an activity? Plus, the staff member (both times, the same young lady) seems so stressed, esp. with the clean up.
Anyway, for an afternoon of fun, this is a good place to go. Kids over 6 yrs old would be quickly bored, though. And hey! It's in a mall!!! But my kid was always too tired to shop after playing @ Kidsquest.

Love this place!~ Great exibits, very low on the comercialism scale...no mass market TV characters. The water exibits are always a hit and there is a huge train table. My boys also love the Garage Band area where they can make all the noise they want.
They also love to visit the fish and rodents at Petco across the way and ride in the coin operated rides in the mall.
Great easy parking too. My only complaint is that there is not a child friendly, quick, economical lunch spot in the mall. And No, Orange Julius does not count.

Once a child begins to walk, this is the place to go. The free play area in Bell square is WAAY too crowded and little ones get knocked over by 4 and 5 year olds. Kidsquest is the perfect middle ground. A year membership costs less than 1 month at Gymboree and is not too crowded during the week. My son loves to play and learn there!

If I'm babysitting my nieces for any period of time, this is where I'm going. There are tons of interactive exhibits, and a great staff. I've also bought most of their birthday and Christmas gifts here over the past couple years. Oh yeah, they have astronaut ice cream! Need I say more?
A great destination for toddlers (under 5), and I have to admit even my friend & I had a great time while our kids played. The water area was the biggest hit, as was the Mack Truck, and the music instruments area (well, my daughter loved that last bit more than my friends son). There is PLENTY of parking, since this "museum" is located in a shopping mall. We went in the mid-morning, had lunch afterward, then headed back to West Seattle in plenty of time for afternoon naps. Would definitely return for another visit, or three.
I promise to write more on this place later but suffice it to say that there's NOTHING like it on the Eastside and the $60 annual family membership (for two adults and ALL the kids in your household) is a steal! Located in Factoria Mall between Mervyn's and Old Navy, I recommend parking between Mervyn's and the OshKosh store. There's a mall entrance between those two stores- go in that entrance and you'll see the "museum" straight ahead.

This is a great little Children's Museum, very different from the one in downtown Seattle. It has a great water area that all the kids love. Be sure to bring a shirt to change into!

great place for the 5 and under crowd...not too good for older kids and babies can only really play in the "backyard" exhibit...but my 11 month old had an awesome time in the backyard...made new little friends and would have stayed for 5 hours had mom and dad not gotten hungry and bored hehe... three hours was plenty hehe...he was able to switch lights on and off...crawl around in a pillow/stuff animal pit ...play with a train set...ride on a rocking horse and eat blocks with other tots... what more can a waddler want in this world!! he was very tired out when we got home and truly it was fun for everyone... if you are a stay at home person with kiddos membership could be beneficial as lots of groups and regulars go to meet up for playdates and if you go there more than a few times a month then it would be cheaper to be a member...definitely fun... worth checking out!!!

I think it's paradise for play for the under 5 set!! If I'm going to pay to have fun well then this is the place (it's totally expensive but worth the cost if you're in desperate need of getting out a.s.a.p.). I love the fact that parking is EASY and it's a pretty quick trip to get over there from Seattle, it kicks butt on the other Children's Museum's in my big ass opinion. When my son who is 3 and daughter who is 1.5 get older they will probably enjoy crawling around the big tree thing and splashing in the water setup they've got going on for the bigger kids, but what really makes me like this place is the baby coral! A pillow pond (is that what it's called?) They have chairs so you the tired parent can watch your little sprout as he/she does their thing and catch them just in time as they open the gate to escape! Lot's to see and do, put this on your to do list you won't be disappointed!!
